Washington Post: ‘Cat’s Out of the Bag’ on IRS Targeting Scandal | Video | TheBlaze.com:

"The IRS exempt organizations unit cited hundreds of conservative groups with words such as tea party or “take back America,” to identify certain applicants for tax exempt status on a “BOLO” or be on the lookout list.

The IG report found, the IRS “1) targeted specific groups applying for tax-exempt status, 2) delayed processing of targeted groups’ applications, and 3) requested unnecessary information from targeted groups.” Then concluded, “The IRS used inappropriate criteria that identified for review Tea Party and other organizations applying for tax‑exempt status based upon their names or policy positions instead of indications of potential political campaign intervention.”

A week after the report was released, George told Congress, “The three allegations considered during our review were proven true. The IRS targeted specific groups applying for tax-exempt status.  It delayed the processing of these groups’ applications, and requested unnecessary information, as well as subjected these groups to special scrutiny.”"

Here’s What Happened to Crime in Chicago After Illinois Finally Passed Concealed Carry Law | TheBlaze.com

Here’s What Happened to Crime in Chicago After Illinois Finally Passed Concealed Carry Law | TheBlaze.com:

"On July 9, 2013, a bill to recognize Illinois gun owners’ right to carry concealed firearms was passed by both chambers of the state Legislature. Illinois became the last state in the nation to allow public possession of concealed guns.

Gun control advocates warned that high-crime areas, like Chicago, would only see more violence if residents were allowed to carry guns in public.

In reality, the opposite may be happening.

On Tuesday, the Chicago Police Department announced that the city experienced its lowest murder rate since 1958 in the first quarter of 2014. There were 6 fewer murders than the same timeframe in 2013 — a 9 percent drop — and 55 fewer murders than 2012, police said.

Further, there were reportedly 90 fewer shootings and 119 fewer shooting victims compared to last year. There have also been 222 fewer shootings and 292 fewer shooting victims compared to the first quarter in 2012."

Report: Immigration Agents Release 1 in 3 Criminal Illegals

Report: Immigration Agents Release 1 in 3 Criminal Illegals:

“The Obama administration consistently claims that it must selectively enforce the law because of a lack of resources,” Heritage Foundation homeland security analyst David Inserra told The Foundry. “Yet President Obama has consistently sought to cut ICE’s budget, indicating that the administration clearly does not prioritize the enforcement of U.S. immigration laws.”

Under the administration’s use of prosecutorial discretion, report author Jessica M. Vaughan writes, ICE officers are instructed “to release illegal aliens if the alien is a parent or caregiver; if the alien claims to be in school; if the alien has been here a long time; or if the alien claims to be eligible for the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.”

ICE officers also are instructed “to ignore convictions for state crimes if the conviction occurred under a state law that the administration opposes or thinks is too harsh.”"

obamaBook.jpgCommon Core 4th grade reading: Obama biography portrays whites as racist... | RedFlagNews.com: "Common Core Standards are teaching racism. How can any parent allow their children to be taught racism in the public school system is beyond comprehension. Yet here it is live in Dupo, Illinios. How do you feel about this? Is this the truth? Is this how the new Common Core Standards are going to create even greater social disorder? Could this take the “Knockout Game” being practiced by Black youths around this country to a whole new level? There were plenty of “White” people who have voted for Obama, me being one of them in the first election! Why would The United Nations Common Core Teaching Standards teach racism against “White” people?"

Steve Utash: Pray for Comatose Victim of Racist Black Detroit Mob

Steve Utash: Pray for Comatose Victim of Racist Black Detroit Mob

As you begin your weekend, please pray for the recovery of Steve Utash, the White victim of the racist Black Detroit mob, about whom I told you yesterday. Utash, a working-class tree trimmer, is the man who found himself in the unfortunate situation of accidentally hitting a 10-year-old Black kid, who darted into the middle of a street and into oncoming traffic in Detroit.
steveutash
Utash, as I told you, did the morally right (and legally required) thing by pulling over to see if the kid was okay and trying to help him. And, as a result, he was subject to a severely brutal beating at the hands of 10-20 Black men, who nearly killed him. Utash has been in a coma in the hospital since then–and could die, while the kid has knee abrasions and a swollen lip. There’s a lesson in this for anyone driving in an urban Black neighborhood. Just keep driving and call the police from your cellphone. Otherwise, you could end up in the same place as Utash. You could choose to be liberal and ignore all of this and have an “open” mind, but you might also end up with an open (cracked open) head.
Clearly, Utash is a good guy. He could have sped off, but wanted to check on the welfare of this kid who just ran into the middle of traffic and whose parents were nowhere to be seen. And for that, Utash may have given his life. Let’s hope not. Put this kind man in your prayers and say a prayer for his recovery.
blackracismSteve Utash, a tree trimmer from Roseville, is a good guy, the kind who cares about others and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it, his daughter says. Thursday night, his family was keeping vigil at St. John Hospital and Medical Center, where he was unconscious and clinging to life after being beaten by a group of men on Detroit’s east side Wednesday. The attack happened after his pickup truck hit 10-year-old David Harris, who stepped off a curb into its path. His daughter, Felicia Utash, said that after he was beaten, he was robbed of his money, his wallet and his credit cards.

The conversation was halted abruptly when Malloy got into his car and left."

Scientists make major breakthrough in Age-Related Macular Degeneration therapy

Scientists make major breakthrough in Age-Related Macular Degeneration therapy

Scientists at Trinity College Dublin have made a major breakthrough with important implications for sufferers of the eye disease Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD), which can cause central blindness in sufferers.
The scientists found that a component of the immune system, 'IL-18', acts as a guardian of eyesight by suppressing the production of damaging  behind the retina at the back of the eye. In addition, in pre-clinical models, it was shown that 'IL-18' can be administered in a non-invasive way, which could represent a major improvement on the current therapeutic options that are open to patients.
AMD is one of the most common forms of blindness in the aging population. The disease involves a loss of central vision, such that people suffering at advanced stages are unable to read, watch TV, drive, or use computers.

Thanks to Obama’s 2011 Directive, Fort Hood is a ‘Gun Free Zone’

Thanks to Obama’s 2011 Directive, Fort Hood is a ‘Gun Free Zone’:

"Fort Hood is a so-called “gun free zone,” which means that firearms are off-limits only to those who care about abiding by the law. For those bent on mass murder, however, such regulatory disarmament ensures a low likelihood that victims will be able to fire back.

According to a 2011 directive issued by the Obama Administration:

“Arming DoD personnel with firearms shall be limited and controlled. Qualified personnel shall be armed when required for assigned duties and there is reasonable expectation that DoD installations, property, or personnel lives or DoD assets will be jeopardized if personnel are not armed.”

According to Breitbart News, Milley did not express interest in changing policies related to carrying of firearms on base, but did suggest that the base might review increased measures to search vehicles so firearms will be less likely to be taken onto base."

It looked like peaches and cream for the folks behind the camera interviewing those gathered at the National Young Feminist Leadership Conference in Washington, D..C. late last month.

The reporter with the microphone asked attendees what feminism meant to them and what it could mean to others, and it was all smiles and positivity and declarations that feminism was “for everyone” and “more inclusive.”
That is until they learned the reporter was from Campus Reform, a conservative news outlet that focuses on college students.

Why Libertarians and People of Faith Are United and Divided Over Obamacare Contraception Mandate | TheBlaze.com:

The First Amendment protects religious freedom, the primary argument against the Obamacare contraception mandate. The same amendment also protects freedom of association, mentioned nowhere in the legal case against it.

So some libertarians — who generally oppose the mandate — are not entirely of one mind on the legal basis of the challenge in the Hobby Lobby case awaiting a decision by the U.S. Supreme Court.
