Something tells us that the fact that the BLS just reported June part-time jobs rose by just shy of 800,000 the biggest monthly jump since 1993, will hardly get much airplay today. 
Because remember: when it comes to jobs, it is only the quantity that matters, never the quality.

When the “Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act” passed, the end of doctor-patient confidentiality was predictable -- but we could not have expected it to happen this soon.
ObamaCare, with the aid of hospitals, insurers, banks, and private data managers, is initiating a program to track store and credit card purchases to see if people are telling the truth about their lifestyle choices.
Some troubling realities have been revealed in a recent Bloomberg article.
First, the idea that the hospitals, at government direction, are doing it for our own good so it’s okay. 
It reminds me of Reagan’s most terrifying nine words in the English language, “I’m from the government, and I’m here to help.” 
There was a time when responsible journalists would not accept this so blindly.
Second, that the information retrieved without our knowledge or approval is subject to doctor-patient confidentiality.
With ObamaCare it’s easy to assume that there is no such thing anymore.
Now we have doctor-patient-government confidentiality -- and yes, “government confidentiality” is an oxymoron.
So let’s get one thing straight: 
With the federal government takeover of the health care industry under ObamaCare, today Doctor=Hospital=Insurance Company=Government. 
By virtue of controlling the purse strings, the first three are beholden to the fourth.

The Vancouver (British Columbia) Board of Education has approved a sweeping new policy for accommodating lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, two-spirit, queer, questioning and “all sexual and gender identities,” including the creation of three pronouns, replacing masculine and feminine with xe, xem and xyr (pronounced ze, zem and zur).
Two spirit is an Aboriginal term which means having both feminine and masculine spirits. It's not limited to gender expression or sexuality, but encompasses them both while incorporating a spiritual element. It's a standalone identity, not an Aboriginal term for gay lesbian.
The Vancouver Board of Education's policy also includes making restroom and sports activities accessible to all transgender students, regardless of their biological sex.

"BERKELEY (CBS SF) — The city of Berkeley will require medical marijuana dispensaries to give away two percent of the amount of cannabis they sell each year free to low-income patients.
The City Council voted unanimously at Tuesday’s meeting to amend the city’s medical pot rules, which would also allow for a fourth dispensary in Berkeley.
 “Basically, the city council wants to make sure that low-income, homeless, indigent folks have access to their medical marijuana, their medicine,” said Berkeley City Councilmember Darryl Moore."

    A seventh defendant, Mo Yun, was arrested and charged Wednesday with stealing trade secrets for her husband's seed company -- the Beijing Dabeinong Technology Group Company.
    The details of the case, laid out by prosecutors, underscore the difficulty of safeguarding U.S. intellectual property, and the determination of some foreign rivals to acquire technology by illicit means.
