Video: Things Get Awkward When Students Are Asked for ‘Biggest Reason’ They Plan to Vote for Hillary | Video | TheBlaze.com:

"When Campus Reform’s Caleb Bonham asked several students at the University of Washington for the “biggest reason” they planned to vote for Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election, he received the same answer from several of them: because she’s a woman.

“Tell me the one reason why you would support a Hillary Clinton presidency,” Bonham asked one female student.

“Because she’s a woman,” the student answered. “So, diversity, you know.”

But, but... Obama tells us there is NO inflation-------Michigan State trustees OK hike in room-and-board rates

Michigan State trustees OK hike in room-and-board rates - Crain's Detroit Business:
"EAST LANSING — Michigan State University students will pay a bit more this fall to live and eat in on-campus residence halls.
The school's board of trustees voted Friday to increase room-and-board rates by 3.5 percent for the 2015-16 academic year.
The double-room rate for undergraduate students will go up by $132 to $3,912 per year. Students using the silver unlimited dining plan will pay $5,562 per year, an increase of $188.
Rent at university apartments also will go up by 1 percent and 2 percent.
Auxiliary enterprises vice president Vennie Gore said the costs of food, labor and other items continue to rise."

"Special Interests" who paid Obama for that "Special Treatment"------Why Are The Obamacare Exchanges Such A Mess?

Why Are The Obamacare Exchanges Such A Mess?
Obamacare was fashioned by special interests – all of whom were very self-interested.
They chose to mandate a health insurance plan that they wanted for themselves – without ever asking whether it was appropriate for moderate income families living paycheck to paycheck.
They imagined an electronic exchange with all kinds of bells and whistles, without ever asking the techie folks whether this had ever been done before.
Or even if it could be done.
The result has been disaster.
Take the state of Oregon.
Grace-Marie Turner writes:
Oregon, under then-Gov. John Kitzhaber, aspired to create a shining model for other ObamaCare exchanges, but instead, it became its poster child of dysfunction. After spending more than $300 million in federal taxpayer dollars, Oregon pulled the plug last year and decided to default to the federal exchange.
The state is now involved in lawsuits with Oracle, the primary vendor and the federal government could actually ask for its $300 million back.
Like the federal exchange (heathcare.gov), the Oregon exchange seems to have been designed by people who knew a lot about health care, but nothing about technology:
One after another, Cover Oregon directors were fired and replaced, but never with anyone who had IT experience or expertise. Deadlines were missed, directives were repeatedly changed, and state officials ultimately refused to meet with the Oracle contractors who were trying to, and ultimately did, salvage the project.
Things are not much better in other parts of the country.

Exposed: Hillary Clinton Is A Fraud In Iowa

Exposed: Hillary Clinton Is A Fraud In Iowa:

"It starts with this exclusive report from The Daily Mail about how Hillary’s campaign staff actually RECRUITED and DROVE the “ordinary” Iowans to her campaign stop. One of them was even a Democrat operative who drove Joe Biden around the state because when they asked for volunteers, he stood still while everyone else took a step back–including the guy in the wheelchair. Maybe Chuck Todd and I have a different definition of the word “spontaneous.” We definitely have a different definition of the word “journalism.”

Then there is this story, about how she didn’t tip for her burrito"

"Starting Monday, crews will begin installing a curved track around Campus Martius in downtown Detroit as part of the $140 million M-1 Rail project.

The rail line, which will extend 3.3 miles from Detroit's riverfront to the New Center area, is scheduled to begin running next year."

Taxes Cost More Than What We Pay

Taxes Cost More Than What We Pay | Economics21
That is not the true cost—to either individuals, businesses or society at large.
Time is money.
Americans spend about 6.1 billion hours and $224.3 billion a year—$90.3 billion of it by  individuals—to comply with the filing requirements of the tax code, according to the IRS National Taxpayer Advocate
(Yes, you have an advocate at the IRS!)
Those statistics don't include the opportunity cost, or the benefit the public would have received from devoting resources to some alternative activity.
So complex are the tax code and the myriad of IRS forms that about 60 percent of individual taxpayers pay someone else to prepare their tax returns.
An additional 29 percent rely on tax preparation software.
In other words, we have to pay (someone else) to pay (the IRS).

portsmouth-lunchThat’s what administrators at Virginia’s Portsmouth Public Schools want parents to believe after a mother took a photo of her child’s paltry school lunch and posted it on social media.
The mom says James Hurst Elementary served the lunch Tuesday.
After the photo began circulating around the community, Food Service Coordinator Jim Gehlhoff admitted the lunch “concerns us,” but added that it might not actually be as bad as it looks.
Poor lighting and food presentation make this lunch unappealing,” he said in a statement released to the media.
He says it’s in compliance with the federal lunch rules championed by First Lady Michelle Obama..."

Secretary of the Army memo lists sexual assault top priority | The Daily Caller:
"The U.S. Army’s top priority for 2015 is not winning wars.
Secretary of the Army John M. McHugh named preventing sexual assault as his top priority for the Army in the fiscal year 2015, according to a memo obtained by The Daily Caller.
“Outlined below are my top priorities for Fiscal Year 2015,” McHugh wrote in the memo. “While these do not represent all the strategic issues that I deal with, they are the most important areas where I will focus my time and effort,” he said in the October 30, 2014 memo, entitled “Secretary of the Army Top Priorities.”

Students are ‘Ready for Hillary’ just because she’s a woman

VIDEO: Students are ‘Ready for Hillary’ just because she’s a woman

It seems many students at the University of Washington can’t think of any reason why they should vote for Hillary Clinton in 2016 — other than her gender.
Campus Reform headed to Seattle, Wash., and asked several college students if they were “ready for Hillary” and why they would vote for her.
“She’s a woman, and that’s literally all.”
“She’s a woman, and that’s literally all,” one female student told Campus Reform.
“Because it’s time we have a female president,” another woman said.

David Barton Says This Is Why Americans Must Stand Up for Their Right of Conscience | Video | TheBlaze.com:

“The right of conscience used to be an inalienable right. That word inalienable meant ‘not to be touched by government,’ period,” Barton said on The Glenn Beck Program. “If you can’t protect the rights of conscience as an inalienable right, then everything below that, the government is going to regulate as well.”

By design-----Taxation illiteracy high among the average American

Survey: Taxation illiteracy high among the average American - Watchdog.org
During the American Revolution, one of the major objections the colonists had was the taxation by the British crown without having any representation.
While the problem of taxation without representation has been solved, it has been replaced by something almost as bad and nearly as destructive: taxation without understanding.
Tax Day is upon us, and the average American has little or no idea of how they are being taxed or why, according to a recent survey:
Most American adults get an “F” in understanding income tax basics, according to a NerdWallet survey of 1,015 people across the U.S. in early February. Respondents scored on average 51% in a 10-question quiz on tax basics related to such personal finance issues as retirement, college savings and health care.
A century ago, the income tax form was a single page that even the most mathematically challenge could understand.
Today the tax code has become increasingly complex to the point where very few people actually do their own taxes, read the forms and fill them out.
“I don’t think we were totally surprised by what we found,” Alex McAdams, a personal finance analyst at NerdWallet, told Daily Finance
“The tax code is pretty complicated, so you can’t blame people for not understanding the details.”

Fox News Host Megyn Kelly Grills DNC Chair on Abortion Position: ‘Can You Answer That Question?’ | Video | TheBlaze.com:

"Fox News host Megyn Kelly asked the congresswoman to elaborate on her views as a result of an ongoing feud between Schultz and Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.). The spat started after the GOP presidential candidate was asked if he supports allowing victims of rape and incest to receive abortions. Instead of answering, he told the media to ask Schultz if “she’s OK with killing a 7-pound baby that’s just not born yet.”

Kelly did just that Tuesday evening, asking the congresswoman when she believes life begins.

“Can you answer that question?” the Fox News asked.

(Fast forward to 5:50 mark for the conversation)"

CONGRESS VERSUS THE IRANIAN PARLIAMENT:  . . . and the Iranian Parliament seems to win.
Today, the Nuclear Committee of the Iranian Parliament issued a strange “factsheet” on the nuclear deal, which seems to contradict virtually every material aspect of the P5+1 Geneva Agreement, as conveyed by the Obama Administration.
In particular, the factsheet states that
Iran agrees to only a 5-year deal (not 10-year);
will be allowed to continue enriching uranium to 20% (weapons grade) if “needed”;
won’t agree to shut down the Arak Heavy Water Reactor (which supplies plutonium necessary for bomb-making);
and of course all Iranian sanctions must be terminated immediately, and in one single step.
Would Iran like fries with that agreement?...

Remember, this was her BEST example-----Sarah Silverman Admits She Made Up a Wage-Gap Story, Then Calls Critics Maniacs

Sarah Silverman Admits She Made Up a Wage-Gap Story, Then Calls Critics Maniacs
“To the maniacs who want to use this as a chit against women’s issues, I ask that you please don’t.”
Comedian Sarah Silverman admitted that a story she told about wage discrimination (in which she even went so far as to call out a specific employer by name) was a lie — and then said people who might consider her lie a reason to question the movement she was supporting were “maniacs.”
In an April 6 wage-discrimination-activism video for Levo League, Silverman accused New York Comedy Club owner Al Martin of having paid her less than a male comic for doing the same work:
“I was out with my friend Todd Barry and we were doing sets around town together, and I was pretty well-known already, and we both did back-to-back 15-minute sets at this club, the New York Comedy Club, and he paid me 10 bucks . . . and we were outside talking and Todd somehow brought up that he, you know, mentioned that he got 60 bucks,” she said.
“So I went back inside and I asked the owner Al Martin and I said, ‘Al, why did you pay me $10 and you paid Todd Barry $60?’
And he, it was so perfect,” Silverman continued, laughing.
“He goes, ‘Oh, did you want a $60 spot?’
It was symbolic, I didn’t need $60, but, you know it was pretty s****y.” Wow! “Pretty s****y” indeed!
Just one problem: That didn’t actually happen..."

Great question!---Why isn't the GOP fighting proposed tax increase?

LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Why isn't the GOP fighting proposed tax increase? | MLive.com
On May 5, Michigan voters have been asked by lazy and incompetent legislators, to vote on what will be the largest tax increase in nearly 50 years, if passed.
This "Transportation" tax will raise $2 billion and once fully implemented in 2018 nearly 40 percent ($700 million plus) won't go to fix a single pothole/road.
Higher taxes/vehicle registration fees, and special interest deals are all part of Proposal 15-1.
This tax is not about road safety, which is contrary to the TV and radio advertisements as well as our governor, who lied about Proposal 15-1 as being the only plan to fix the roads.
Where does the Allegan County Republican Party stand on the proposal to raise Michigan's sales tax?
...The Allegan County GOP should be outraged at the proposed tax increase.
Are they?

Are You a Global Warming Skeptic?

Are You a Global Warming Skeptic? | Power Line:
For years, various international organizations have floated schemes to reduce the world’s production of CO2 in order, supposedly, to prevent or reverse global warming. Such efforts have consistently failed, going back to the Kyoto Protocol, but alarmists and professional Greens haven’t given up, and the Obama administration wants to commit the United States to a significant reduction in CO2 output at this year’s Paris meeting. (The entire global warming enterprise would founder if meetings were required to be held in, say, Akron, Ohio.)
This essay by Anthony Watts reviews the beliefs that must be true for a “Paris Protocol” reducing global CO2 emissions to make sense.
...It is likely that not just one of these assumptions is false, but rather, all seven. There is lots of good information at the link, but here are a few significant points:
The warming the Earth has experienced since the end of the Little Ice Age has been entirely benign.
The warming since 1850 (165 years ago) is estimated by the Hadley Climate Research Unit to be about 0.79°C, a rate of 0.48°C per century. If this rate were to continue for the next 100 years (to the year 2115), the world would be 0.48 °C warmer than today. Since most of the world experiences a typical daily temperature variation of 6°C or more, this hardly seems threatening.
The key to this Belief is the phrase: “human caused”. If only half the rate is caused by humans, anthropogenic global warming (AGW) would be even less threatening.
Alarmism is based entirely on models, and the models are wrong.
According to global warming theory, the positive feedbacks posited by the models should be strongest in the tropical upper troposphere. But satellite measurements in the tropical upper troposphere show that the models’ predicted warming is not taking place:
image2
Global warming alarmism is anti-scientific: it privileges agenda-driven theory over observation.
Human activity has little to do with greenhouse gases.

Black Men Shout "Death to All You Crackers" to Whites on the Street... Where's the Media?

VIDEO: Black Men Shout "Death to All You Crackers" to Whites on the Street... Where's the Media?
Race and accusations of racism are all the rage today, thanks in large part to the divisive pot-stirring of the various race baiters in the media and politics.
Yet, the charge of racism often goes only one way, while sometimes blatantly racist language and behavior by non-whites is overlooked or dismissed.
Recently, a group of black and latino men who call themselves “Hebrew Israelites” but are better referred to as the Blackboro Baptist Church, took to the streets of San Francisco to spread their decidedly hateful message.
...Accompanied by threats of violence, the racial rhetoric and hateful slurs slung at the white people, Asians, Jews and gays walking by are some of the worst vitriol ever caught on camera.
Most of the people simply walked past the hate-mongering group as they threatened to slit throats, rape and enslave women and kill babies.

...Based on the changes in lighting and background, these men spent the bulk of the day moving up and down the busy streets harassing and threatening the regular people of San Francisco.
Warning: This video is most definitely not safe for work.
There is an over-abundance of racial slurs, curse words and threats of horrific violence.
Be prepared to get mad while watching this.
Where is the media decrying this outright and blatant display of hateful racism and violent rhetoric?
Why isn’t MSNBC showcasing this?
Where is Al Sharpton?

L.A. school district demands refund after ‘iPads-for-all’ debacle finally implodes

L.A. school district demands refund after ‘iPads-for-all’ debacle finally implodes - EAGnews.org
"LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Unified School District wants its money back.
District leaders this week are sending letters to computer maker Apple over a $500 million deal it inked with the company in 2013 to provide iPads to all students in the district.
...School board members also asked district attorneys to look into the possibility of suing Pearson and Apple to recover some of the tax money they wasted, according to the news site.
The iPads-for-all program was the brainchild of former L.A. Unified superintendent John Deasy, who repeatedly characterized the program as a civil rights issue – poor kids deserved access to the same devices as their wealthier classmates.
The program was an immediate flop, as students who received the tablets quickly circumvented the district’s firewall to surf websites they shouldn’t.
Many schools also did not have the infrastructure in place to handle the increased demand on bandwidth."
