LIBERTY REVIEW

LIBERTY REVIEW:

Leftists Theater

By Tammy Derouin

Did you ever, in your wildest dreams, think you would live during a time when the whole world would be turned upside down?  Today’s reality is something straight out of a Hollywood nightmare.  The stage has been set and the plot has been established.  The lights and cameras have been carefully placed to capture every choreographed attempt to cause chaos.  Sometimes the director himself tosses the match, setting the stage for the next scene.  You can almost hear him call, action!

Once the smoke clears his hired stage hands rush in to clean up the mess.  They attempt to smooth things over and then look to blame the entire flop on everyone except themselves and their miserable script.  The audience is in a daze yet some still manage to applaud and beg for more.  The all too familiar and now predictable “recovery act” goes into full swing.  We know it as the 3 D Act; a full blown action plan to Deceive by Denying and Disguising the truth.

Each attempt to bring about chaos which doesn’t end with the desired results of uncontrollable civil unrest is a disappointment to the Left.  The Leftists Theater has been producing many programs with numerous acts.  Each act is being used as a lightning rod to produce and encourage disorder.

One effective way to cause unrest is to toss out the rules and laws.....

Your tax dollars at "work".-----University pays communist former Black Panther $18,500 for 3-hour appearance

ANGELA Davis UNC WilmingtonWILMINGTON, N.C. – Many college and university diversity offices have sprung up in recent years, ostensibly to build stronger ties between students and faculty of different races, and help make higher education more accessible and rewarding for minority students.
But many of the people who run those offices tend to have a strong bond with the radical fringe that operates the “white privilege” movement.
They are notorious for hiring radical speakers to address students and try to recruit them into their Marxist, anti-American school of thought.
The Office of Institutional Diversity and Inclusion at the University of North Carolina-Wilmington recently provided a great example by hiring 1960s radical Angela Davis, a former member of the Black Panthers and Community Party U.S.A., to speak to students in 2015.
...For a communist who speaks openly against greed and the free enterprise system, Davis sure gets a lot of money to make a speech. UNC-Wilmington paid $18,500 for Davis to appear at the school, according to university spending records obtained through an open records request..."

Total FAIL and they're proud?-----Three-time deportee arrested again — for failing to register as sex offender

Three-time deportee arrested again — for failing to register as sex offender | The American Mirror
"U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement are touting the capture of an illegal immigrant who has repeatedly re-entered the country to rape young girls as the agency’s “profound and positive impact on overall public safety.”
ICE agents arrested Mexican national Sergio Amador-Olive, 37, at his home in Salt Lake City for failing to register as a sex offender, according to an ICE statement that described the repeat border jumper as a “priority for immigration enforcement.”
Amador-Olive – whose body is a tattooed collage of young girls in seductive poses mixed with creepy clowns and religious figures – was first convicted of impregnating a 15-year-old girl and removed from the U.S. in April 2003.
He then re-entered the U.S. illegally and was convicted of attempted rape in June 2005 for trying to force a co-worker to have sex.
Amador-Olive was sentenced to 15 years in prison for that crime, though ICE arrested him again in June 2010.
The ICE statement does not detail whether Amador-Olive was deported after his prison stay, or the reason he did not serve out the full sentence.
Regardless, ICE deported him to Mexico in September 2010, before arresting him again in Arizona a month later.
In April 2011, he was sentenced to 51 months in federal prison for re-entering the U.S., and deported again in August 2014, according to Fox News Latino.
His arrest in Salt Lake City April 28 marks the fifth time he’s been arrested in the U.S..."

Prof’s Theory: Six-Figure DPS Staff 'Thought They Deserved' Kickbacks

Prof’s Theory: Six-Figure DPS Staff 'Thought They Deserved' Kickbacks [Michigan Capitol Confidential]:
"A Wayne State University law school professor is getting nationwide attention for speculating on the rationales used by 13 Detroit Public School officials accused of taking bribes and kickbacks for 13 years.
He offers that they felt they deserved it for working hard in thankless, underpaid jobs.
The 12 DPS principals and one assistant superintendent involved were paid an average of roughly $115,000, according to a state database.
Wayne State's Peter Henning’s comments appeared in a nationwide Associated Press story about the scandal.
It read, “Wayne State University Law School professor Peter Henning described it as a scenario that is all too familiar in a city where public employees think they are owed more than they get for difficult, thankless jobs.”
Then it quoted Henning: “I doubt any of them really thought they were doing anything wrong — they (believed they) were just getting something they deserved. They worked hard, were underpaid and had to deal with all the stuff that goes on in DPS.”
...The state database includes total salaries and bonuses, if any, but not benefits.
...The highest salary was $126,103 and the lowest was $104,374.
Here are the individual salaries of 11 of the 13 DPS officials who have been charged:

  • Tanya Bowman: $126,103
  • Clara Flowers: $121,375
  • Nina Graves-Hicks: $119,546
  • Clara Smith: $116,532
  • James Hearn: $114,943
  • Tia’Von Moore-Patton: $113,832
  • Stanley Johnson: $113,231
  • Beverly Campbell: $113,033
  • Ronald Alexander: $112,926
  • Gerlma Johnson: $108,313
  • Josette Buendia: $104,374

Per capita income in the city of Detroit was $14,984 from 2010 to 2014."

Report: Certain News Outlets Blacklisted By Facebook News Curators, Including TheBlaze | TheBlaze.com:

"The news curation team at Facebook intentionally avoids selecting stories from certain news outlets, including TheBlaze, according to a Tuesday Gizmodo report.

Former news curators told the tech-news website that they were instructed to highlight articles from traditional news outlets, such as The New York Times or Time.

Those same sources told Gizmodo that while never explicitly told to avoid particular outlets, curators would “regularly” avoid selecting stories from World Star Hip Hop, Breitbart and TheBlaze."

Tale of Two Tribes: 'Climate Refugees' vs. EPA Victims

Tale of Two Tribes: 'Climate Refugees' vs. EPA Victims | Frontpage Mag:
"The left has concocted a lucrative category of politically correct victims: "climate refugees."
It's the new Green racket.
U.S. taxpayers will now be forking over untold billions to ease the pain allegedly inflicted on "carbon's casualties" by industrial activity.
By contrast, those who have suffered as a direct result of government incompetence by federal environmental bureaucrats continue to get the shaft.
Consider the plight of two tribes: the Biloxi-Chitimacha-Choctaw in Louisiana and the Navajo Nation in New Mexico.
The New York Times splashed a viral story on its pages this week spotlighting the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's $48 million grant to Native-Americans who live in the flood-ravaged coastal community of Isle de Jean Charles.
About 60 residents, the majority of whom belong to the Biloxi-Chitimacha-Choctaw tribe, will be resettled to drier land.
That's a whopping $800,000 per "climate refugee!"
...another tribe is still begging for help after Obama's destructive EPA poisoned their waters.
It's been almost eight months since an Environmental Protection Agency contractor recklessly knocked a hole at the long-abandoned Gold King Mine in Colorado's San Juan Mountains.
You should know that Washington has long schemed to declare it a Superfund site, which would increase its power, budget and access over the region.
A federally sponsored wrecking crew poking around in the mine last August triggered a 3 million-ton flood of bright orange gunk into the Animas River.
EPA's blithering idiots delayed notifying local residents for 24 hours and downplayed the toxic spill's effects.
Downstream, the muck seeped into the San Juan River in New Mexico, where the Navajo Nation lives and farms.
The impact on drinking water and livelihoods has been catastrophic.
But the Obama administration refused the tribe's request for disaster relief from FEMA last fall and yanked emergency water tanks the EPA had supplied for Navajo livestock.
...Our eco-savior on the Potomac's response to the victims of his man-caused, government-engineered disaster:
Never mind."

Obama Orders Fed Agencies to Stop Asking Job Applicants about Criminal History

Obama Orders Fed Agencies to Stop Asking Job Applicants about Criminal History - Judicial Watch: "To make public-sector jobs more accessible to convicts, President Obama has issued a new order prohibiting federal agencies from asking candidates about criminal history when applying for positions.
...Government often tries to escape fallout by burying controversial or bad news right before the weekend, but it’s difficult to keep this outrageous development below the radar.
...The administration refers to criminal background checks as “barriers to employment” that “unnecessarily narrow the pool of eligible and qualified candidates for federal employment..."
Years ago the administration tried slamming the private sector with a ban on job applicant background checks by claiming that they discriminate against minority candidates.
...The apparent intent was to discourage other businesses from checking criminal histories out of fear of getting sued by the government, but it didn’t quite work out that way.
A federal judge eventually blasted the EEOC’s claims, calling them laughable, distorted, cherry-picked, worthless and an egregious example of scientific dishonesty.
Of interesting note is that the EEOC conducts criminal background checks as a condition of employment."

Detroit with an accent--Socialism!-----Scandal-plagued Rome is becoming a 'do it yourself' city

Scandal-plagued Rome is becoming a 'do it yourself' city:
"ROME (AP) — Armed with shovels and sacks of cold asphalt, Rome's residents fill potholes. Defying rats, they yank weeds and bag trash along the Tiber's banks and in urban parks.
Tired of waiting years for the city to replace diseased trees, neighbors dig into their own pockets to pay for new ones for their block.
Romans are starting to take back their city, which for years was plundered and neglected by City Hall officials and cronies so conniving that some of them are on trial as alleged mobsters.
...Local politicians had been in cahoots with gangsters, shady go-betweens and corrupt city hall bureaucrats, prosecutors allege in investigations that have led to dozens of arrests since 2014.
Some defendants are accused of using Mafia-like methods of intimidation to get their hands on lucrative public-works contracts.
Rome's last mayor, who failed in the Herculean task of cleaning up Rome literally and morally, was virtually forced to quit halfway through his term in 2015.
Until mayoral elections this June, the Italian capital is being administered by a government-appointed commissioner, under a formula similar to what happens when Italian City Halls are under the grip of organized-crime syndicates..."

Kim Jong-Un Bans All Weddings, Funerals And Freedom Of Movement In North Korea

Kim Jong-Un Bans All Weddings, Funerals And Freedom Of Movement In North Korea - Slashdot
An anonymous reader quotes a report from The Independent:
Weddings and funerals have been banned and Pyongyang is in lockdown as preparations for a once-in-a-generation party congress get underway in North Korea. The ruling Worker's Party of Korea, headed by the country's leader, Kim Jong-un, is due to stage the first gathering of its kind for 36 years on Friday. Free movement in and out of the capital has also been forbidden and there has been an increase in inspections and property searches, according to Daily NK, which claims to have sources in the country. The temporary measures are said to be an attempt to minimize the risk of "mishaps" at the event, according to Cheong Joon-hee, a spokesman at South Korea's Unification Ministry.Meanwhile, North Korea has been conducting missile tests left and right, many of which have failed miserably.

Michelle Obama Rules Ban Fried Foods, Frosted Flakes in Daycare

Michelle Obama Rules Ban Fried Foods, Frosted Flakes in Daycare:

"The regulation is intended to bring daycare centers in line with the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, which have generated controversy over the years. The latest version stressed a “collective” approach to eating, and reversed a decades-long recommendation for cholesterol, by deeming eggs OK to eat. The federal committee in charge of drafting the guidelines ultimately did not include sustainability in its final version, which would have added environmentalism and advocated for “plant-based diets” out of climate change concerns."

What could possibly go wrong?-----Italian court rules food theft 'not a crime' if hungry

Italian court rules food theft 'not a crime' if hungry - BBC News:
"Stealing small amounts of food to stave off hunger is not a crime, Italy's highest court of appeal has ruled.
Judges overturned a theft conviction against Roman Ostriakov after he stole cheese and sausages worth €4.07 (£3; $4.50) from a supermarket.
Mr Ostriakov, a homeless man of Ukrainian background, had taken the food "in the face of the immediate and essential need for nourishment", the court of cassation decided.
Therefore it was not a crime, it said.
A fellow customer informed the store's security in 2011, when Mr Ostriakov attempted to leave a Genoa supermarket with two pieces of cheese and a packet of sausages in his pocket but paid only for breadsticks.
In 2015, Mr Ostriakov was convicted of theft and sentenced to six months in jail and a €100 fine."

They destroyed the system. Bankrupted it. And it's someone else's fault?-----DPS sickouts a symptom of Lansing's ill behavior

DPS sickouts a symptom of Lansing's ill behavior
"We're tired.
Tired of the political machinations some Lansing lawmakers indulge in while Detroit children's futures remain in peril and Detroit Public Schools teachers fear they'll lose their too-meager paychecks.
Tired of the lack of urgency exhibited by nearly everyone involved in the so-called fix for DPS, which we can't help but read as widespread lack of concern for Detroit kids' futures.
...What questions, you ask?
Lawmakers are, ostensibly, concerned that the spendthrift district will squander its state-granted $715 million, a notion that fits comfortably into the stereotype of Detroiters' profligacy (and let's get real, by "Detroiters," what's meant is "African Americans") but neatly overlooks the reality of DPS:
The district has spent the better part of this century under state control.
It's still under state control, with former U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Steven Rhodes the latest in a succession of leaders who have failed to fix the district's financial — much less academic — problems.
Those problems, you'll note, have grown worse...."
Always someone else who done them wrong.....
