Harvard Wants to Remove Christian Roots From School Traditions — Charisma News
Harvard Wants to Remove Christian Roots From School Traditions — Charisma News:
"Prestigious American university Harvard is considering removing a line from its ceremonial song that references its Christian heritage.
A Harvard professor claims the lyric could be racist, but a U.K. academic has described the proposal as "morally disoriented."
Harvard takes its name from John Harvard, who emigrated with the Puritans to the United States in the 1600s and left his academic books to the institution after his death."

Higher Education “Gender Gap” Favors Women -- Feminization of Everything Fails Boys | National Review:

In one chart, he highlights the dramatic and growing gender gap in higher education.
In short, women are dominating:
Detailing the findings of a survey conducted by her magazine and the Public Religion Research Institute, she notes that 61 percent of white working-class men view college as a “risky gamble.”
...“The survey shows that many white working-class Americans, especially men, no longer see that path available to them. . . .
It is this sense of economic fatalism, more than just economic hardship, that was the decisive factor in support for Trump among white working-class voters.”
Make no mistake, if these numbers showed an equivalent (and increasing) educational gender gap running in the opposite direction, the feminist Left would declare a cultural emergency.
Indeed, it has declared a cultural emergency in spite of the dominant educational performance of women.
As Perry notes, our colleges are full of “women’s centers” and “gender equity” initiatives that are dedicated exclusively to female success (or almost exclusively; some non-gender-binary folks get gender-equity aid as well).

- When will there stop being a crisis for women on campus?
- When they reach two-thirds of the higher-education population?

"It was eight months ago when we first began discussing the “White Hats” -vs- “Black Hats” within the intelligence apparatus.
It was obvious there was a battle going on within the ‘intelligence’ and ‘justice’ systems per se’ between two distinct groups, mostly centered around political leaks within the IC:
- A Black Hat: is a self-serving entity, person or organization, that is corrupt, deceitful, manipulative, exploitative, and working for their own power and interests. A bad entity.
- A White Hat: is an altruistic entity, person or organization, that is foundationally grounded on truth, honesty, and clear definitions of right and moral wrong. A good entity.
The four primary agencies who drove the media narrative were: CIA, DNI, FBI and NSA.
...Initially, last year, FBI Director James Comey was challenging to gauge.
However, it didn’t take long to discover his political corruption, and see his political agenda was all about himself – not the application of law.- The FBI (Comey) never questioned Hillary Clinton under oath.
- The FBI (Comey) never recorded or documented the interview with Hillary Clinton.
- The FBI (Comey) never admitted to warnings from Florida LEO (Orlando shooting)
- The FBI (Comey) used bogus British dossier to gain FISA warrant to monitor Trump.
Then on March 20th the mask fully came off.
Comey was a solid Black Hat.
The March 20th appearance before congress was the final straw in showcasing just how politically corrupt James Comey was.
In this same March 20th hearing Comey stated there was an investigation into intelligence leaks to the media.
However, on May 8th the source of the reports that were eventually leaked to the media, acting AG Sally Yates, said she was never questioned by the FBI..."

A nation of moronic, wimpy, thugs-----School SUSPENDS student for 'liking' Instagram picture OF AN AIR GUN (VIDEO) ⋆ Silence is Consent
School SUSPENDS student for 'liking' Instagram picture OF AN AIR GUN (VIDEO) ⋆ Silence is Consent:
Zachary Bowlin attends Edgewood Middle School in Trenton, Ohio. Last week, while browsing on Instagram, he “liked” a photo of an airsoft pistol.
The caption of the photo said “Ready.”
The next day at school, he was treated like a criminal and told he was suspended.
The official reason was “liking a post on social media that indicated potential school violence.”
Airsoft guns are essentially the next generation of BB guns.
With the exception of the orange-colored tip, the air guns look like many real guns, but use air to shoot plastic pellets.
However, they sometimes use CO2 cartridges and batteries to shoot pellets at high rates of speed.
‘I liked it, scrolling down Instagram at night about 7, 8 o’clock I liked it,’ Zachary told WXIX. ‘The next morning they called me down (to the office) patted me down and checked me for weapons.’He told WCMH, ‘I don’t think I did anything wrong… Then, they told me I was getting expelled or suspended or whatever.’The middle school student was sent home with a note from officials at the school to notify his parents about the cause of his suspension Thursday. The letter said Zachary was suspended for ‘liking a post on social media that indicated potential school violence...’

Barack Obama: Eating More Steaks Contributes to Climate Change
"Former President Barack Obama warned the world that more people on the planet were eating meat, causing a dramatic rise in climate emissions.
“As people want to increase meat consumption, that in turn is spiking the growth of greenhouse emissions coming out of the agricultural sector,” Obama said, pointing to countries that were consuming more meat.
...“People aren’t as familiar with the impact of cows and methane,” Obama said, adding that “as people want to increase more meat consumption, that in turn is spiking the growth of greenhouse emissions coming out of the agricultural sectors...”

Another Arctic ice panic over as world temperatures plummet:
"when even satellite temperatures were showing 2016 as “the hottest year on record”, we were going to be told last winter that the Arctic ice was at its lowest extent ever. Sure enough, before Christmas, a report from the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration was greeted with such headlines as “Hottest Arctic on record triggers massive ice melt”. In March we had the BBC trumpeting another study that blamed vanishing Arctic ice as the cause of weather which led to the worst-ever smog in Beijing, warning that it “could even threaten the Beijing Winter Olympics in 2022”."

Ontario man given three tickets by ‘the smoke police’ for having a cigarette alone in his SUV | National Post
LONDON, Ont. — ...The 76-year-old owner of Sparkles Cleaning Service is a healthy guy who loves a puff or two when he’s alone, sometimes at home with the windows open in his rec room or in his Porsche SUV, minding his own business and away from others who could breathe in his second-hand fumes.
What he doesn’t like are those he calls “the smoke police,” the Smoke-Free Ontario enforcement officers who he believes have placed a no-smoking sign as a target on his back.
The provincial anti-smoking laws set out stringent rules banning smoking in enclosed workplaces, enclosed public places, outdoor patios and vehicles where children are passengers and other spaces to protect people from second-hand smoke.
...Kraemer was slapped with the charges last fall for lighting up inside his luxury SUV in a parking lot at Baseline and Wellington roads, just after he’s bought a doughnut and coffee from Tim Hortons.
The vehicle’s ownership is registered to Sparkles and the argument was it is a workplace vehicle. Kraemer said it is for his personal use.
“This is my personal car that I drive from home to work and from work to home,” he said..."

The debt-bubble landmine Obama left for Trump | New York Post:
"President Trump came in for much jeering when he told reporters he had “inherited a mess” from President Barack Obama.
On the economy, though, Obama did indeed leave behind a hidden mess: a seemingly healthy jobs market dependent on cheap debt.
...A Standard & Poor’s analysis of just one big subprime auto bond tells the story.
Last week, a company called DriveTime, which sells used cars in 26 states to people with bad credit, was in the market to issue $442 million worth of bonds backed by auto loans.
The average credit score of borrowers was 538 — indicating a history of serious default.
And, as S&P notes, “today’s subprime customer appears to be . . . weaker . . . than that of several years ago,” because people who defaulted right after the housing crash at least had the excuse that they were caught up in a global bubble.
These loans are for people who have no choice but to borrow to buy a car, and no bargaining power on the interest rate they pay: close to 20 percent.
...If the auto-credit market sputters out during Trump’s first term — and it’s hard to see how it won’t — Trump would be justified in blaming his predecessor.
But he’ll face the same bad options previous presidents have.
No one has quite figured out how to fix this economy without a lot of short-term pain."

White cop sues city, chief for racism: Ancestry.com says he's part black | MLive.com
"GRAND RAPIDS, MI - A Hastings police sergeant says he has been subjected to racial taunts within the department after he took a genetic test through Ancestry.com that showed he was 18 percent black.
Sgt. Cleon Brown said the police chief called him, "Kunte," a character in Alex Haley's novel, "Roots: The Saga of an American Family," while officers whispered, "Black Lives Matter" and pumped fists as they walked past.
The mayor, who retired in January, told racial jokes, he said.
At Christmas, the department hung stockings with names of the officers on a Christmas tree.
A black Santa Claus figurine - with "18%" written on its white beard - was put in Brown's stocking.
Brown filed a federal lawsuit alleging state and federal civil-rights violations and violation of the state's Whistleblowers' Protection Act.
He claims intentional infliction of emotional distress..."

Washington provided Puerto Rico with all the wrong incentives; disaster ensued.
"Last week, Puerto Rico took another step in its long, mostly futile attempt to stabilize its economy and budget when it filed for a modified version of municipal bankruptcy.
It was the latest chapter in a 20-year struggle that began when an odd coalition of budget hawks, statehood advocates, and critics of corporate giveaways convinced Congress to phase out tax benefits that businesses could garner by locating operations in Puerto Rico.
Since then, efforts to make Puerto Rico’s economy more independent and sustainable have come to little, in part because the 1996 reforms were incomplete, leaving in place tax advantages that encouraged the territory to borrow its way to fiscal oblivion, while requiring local employers to adhere to burdensome U.S. labor market requirements.
The result is a floundering economy and a mountain of debt.
...It’s accurate to say that Puerto Rico’s government is the ultimate creator of this disaster.
But Washington contributed, by offering all the wrong incentives.
We shouldn’t be surprised that Puerto Rico took them."
