Yesterday a video of a Manchester, New Hampshire Committee meeting was posted to YouTube. 
The meeting took place on May 24th but there was extremely disturbing and interesting commentary made by a Manchester Alderman. 
...Alderman Christopher Herbert (Democrat), who is also a New Hampshire State Representative, decided that the elderly should just GET OUT rather than be given tax credits. 
Many towns will give the elderly tax credits because they are often on fixed incomes and most towns rarely decrease property taxes but continually raise them, making it unaffordable for the elderly who have lived in the towns for decades.
Herbert decided to rail against his elderly neighbor who apparently owns a home but can’t afford the property taxes on it. 
Rather than give her a tax credit, he believes she should get out of her house. From the video:

I’ve got an 85 year old woman that lives across the street, and, and she won’t give up her house, she’s sitting on $350,000 dollars and she can’t afford it anymore and you’re saying (pointing to Alderwoman Shaw) give her a tax credit….NO, we should have a program that GETS HER OUT OF THE HOUSE….. I mean, we need to get new people to come in and, and, ‘occupy’ those houses. We can’t be run by the elderly in a city…that, that, that’s foolishness.

So, Herbert wants a program that will kick the elderly out of the homes they probably paid off years ago because he’d rather get new people into the homes.."

"Michigan’s school pension system has a debt problem, and its managers’ response has resembled the behavior of an out-of-control credit card junkie just one step from bankruptcy. 
The amounts are so huge they are hard to comprehend, so translating them into household-scale numbers helps give perspective.
Imagine if this state’s public schools were a person named Mr. Mitten who earned $20,800 in 2009, and that year also owed $12,000 in credit card debt.
Mitten clearly has a serious if not yet completely unmanageable problem.
Except, in the years since, he has not managed it.
Mitten keeps racking up new debt, and for seven year in a row hasn’t even made the “minimum payment” on the bills.
While Mitten’s income grew slightly to $21,100 in 2016, his credit card debt also rose to $29,100, or $8,000 more than his annual income.
Multiply those figures by one million and they are almost exactly how much the Michigan K-12 school public school system takes in and owes:

One major focus is housing refugees, who otherwise would be stuck in substandard, government-run camps. 

In Athens, The Times reports, around 3,000 refugees now live in 15 abandoned buildings refurbished by the anarchists.
"No one knows who they are controlled by and what conditions people being put up in occupied buildings live in," the mayor of Athens has told reporters. 

Nevertheless, the buildings have long waiting lists to get in. 

For a lot of refugees, apparently, the anarchists' accomodations can't be worse than what the government has to offer..."

In a rather self-absorbed speech Monday that treats this horrible but isolated event as though it were some sort of mass slaughter deserving of a permanent monument and some sort of "leadership" by politicians, Wheeler is demanding that the federal government cancel the permits for a couple of upcoming "alt-right" rallies in Terry Schrunk Plaza.
He flat out said in his comments that the city would refuse to grant rally permits to alt-right groups based on their views. 
However, the plaza right by Portland City Hall is actually federal property, and Wheeler is trying to get federal authorities to revoke the permits for the groups involved in a pair of June events..."

It addressed the growing number of public school teachers in New York State that were earning six-figure salaries. 
As the article noted, the increasing salaries were becoming a strain for many public school budgets, particularly in districts with lower tax bases.

“Many of the top-paid teachers are in wealthy districts with high-performing schools, like Manhasset. But many are also in districts with little wealth and struggling schools, like Central Islip,” the news report said.

All these years later, it’s clear that the six-figure trend is a permanent feature of the Central payroll, particularly with benefits added in.

In 2015-16, 534 Central Islip teachers earned a combined $64,753,825 in base salary, for an eye-opening average of $121,261 per teacher.

They also received a combined $12,897,342 in benefits, for an average of $24,152 per teacher, and the school district made $8,566,330 in retirement contributions on their behalf, for an average of $16,041 per teacher.

That brought the average compensation for Central Islip teachers to at least $161,454 — $40,193 more than the average base salary..."

As you may have noticed, today's feminist activists have a great deal to say about how women are and should be treated in the workforce.
And yes, I understand how difficult it can be to sift through their rhetoric and tease out exactly what you, as an employer, are expected to do.
Fortunately, I think I've finally managed to figure out their underlying message: 
Don't hire women.
I know how bizarre this must seem.
After all, feminists claim to be looking out for women's best interests.
And yet, in presuming to speak for all of us, these activists have managed to paint our distaff sex in a very unappealing light.
Indeed, if feminists are to be accepted as our spokeswomen and exemplars, the following must be true:
Women don't understand math or science.
They don't comprehend, for example, that you can lie with statistics.
Certain numbers - such as the earnings gap - can be explained by phenomena that aren't nefarious, but women are simply incapable of analyzing said statistics in a critical manner.
Additionally, women can't tell the difference between science and scientism. 
They conclude that because, for instance, so-called scientists once claimed that hysteria and neuroses could be cured by giving a woman a good poke, the entire scientific enterprise is a sexist joke..."
