Mad Dog Mattis to Shift Away From Obama's Attrition Strategy... Completely Annihilate ISIS
Mad Dog Mattis to Shift Away From Obama's Attrition Strategy... Completely Annihilate ISIS:
"Defense Secretary James “Mad Dog” Mattis outlined the administration’s plan of attack against the Islamic State group on Sunday, and it differed like night and day from the limp-wristed wartime strategies pursued by former President Barack Obama.
“Our strategy right now is to accelerate the campaign against ISIS. It is a threat to all civilized nations,” Mattis candidly told “Face the Nation” host John Dickerson. “And the bottom line is, we are going to move in an accelerated and reinforced manner, throw them on their back foot.”"

Democrat Alderman Wants The Elderly To GET OUT Of His City | The Federalist Papers
Yesterday a video of a Manchester, New Hampshire Committee meeting was posted to YouTube.
The meeting took place on May 24th but there was extremely disturbing and interesting commentary made by a Manchester Alderman.
...Alderman Christopher Herbert (Democrat), who is also a New Hampshire State Representative, decided that the elderly should just GET OUT rather than be given tax credits.
Many towns will give the elderly tax credits because they are often on fixed incomes and most towns rarely decrease property taxes but continually raise them, making it unaffordable for the elderly who have lived in the towns for decades.
Herbert decided to rail against his elderly neighbor who apparently owns a home but can’t afford the property taxes on it.
Rather than give her a tax credit, he believes she should get out of her house. From the video:

I’ve got an 85 year old woman that lives across the street, and, and she won’t give up her house, she’s sitting on $350,000 dollars and she can’t afford it anymore and you’re saying (pointing to Alderwoman Shaw) give her a tax credit….NO, we should have a program that GETS HER OUT OF THE HOUSE….. I mean, we need to get new people to come in and, and, ‘occupy’ those houses. We can’t be run by the elderly in a city…that, that, that’s foolishness.
So, Herbert wants a program that will kick the elderly out of the homes they probably paid off years ago because he’d rather get new people into the homes.."

Samantha Power Unmasked - WSJ
Samantha Power Unmasked - WSJ:
"The new subpoenas seek details of all unmasking requests in 2016 by three people: former National Security Adviser Susan Rice, former CIA Director John Brennan, and former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations Samantha Power. Democrats claim Ms. Rice needed to unmask names to do her job, though this is questionable given that she wasn’t running counterintelligence investigations. They have a better claim with Mr. Brennan.
But Ms. Power’s job was diplomacy. Unmaskings are supposed to be rare, and if the mere ambassador to the U.N. could demand them, what privacy protection was the Obama White House really offering U.S. citizens?"

Michigan School Pension Debt Resembles Credit Card Junkie’s Fiscal Death Spiral [Michigan Capitol Confidential]
Michigan School Pension Debt Resembles Credit Card Junkie’s Fiscal Death Spiral [Michigan Capitol Confidential]:
"Michigan’s school pension system has a debt problem, and its managers’ response has resembled the behavior of an out-of-control credit card junkie just one step from bankruptcy.
The amounts are so huge they are hard to comprehend, so translating them into household-scale numbers helps give perspective.
Imagine if this state’s public schools were a person named Mr. Mitten who earned $20,800 in 2009, and that year also owed $12,000 in credit card debt.
Mitten clearly has a serious if not yet completely unmanageable problem.
Except, in the years since, he has not managed it.
Mitten keeps racking up new debt, and for seven year in a row hasn’t even made the “minimum payment” on the bills.
While Mitten’s income grew slightly to $21,100 in 2016, his credit card debt also rose to $29,100, or $8,000 more than his annual income.
Multiply those figures by one million and they are almost exactly how much the Michigan K-12 school public school system takes in and owes:
Annual school revenue is now $21.1 billion, up from $20.8 billion in 2009 (when it was temporarily boosted by a huge infusion of federal “stimulus” money).
Over the same period, the public school system’s unfunded pension debt has risen from $12.0 billion to $29.1 billion..."

One major focus is housing refugees, who otherwise would be stuck in substandard, government-run camps.

The mayor of Portland, Oregon, has strong words for those who would sow fear in his city and attempt to shut down citizens' rights to free expression: "I surrender."
On Friday, two men were stabbed to death on a train in Portland while confronting and trying to calm down a man who was allegedly loudly harassing two young women with anti-Muslim comments.
Mayor Ted Wheeler's response to this brutal attack was to essentially tell the world that violence can successfully be used to convince the government to shut down civil liberties.
In a rather self-absorbed speech Monday that treats this horrible but isolated event as though it were some sort of mass slaughter deserving of a permanent monument and some sort of "leadership" by politicians, Wheeler is demanding that the federal government cancel the permits for a couple of upcoming "alt-right" rallies in Terry Schrunk Plaza.
He flat out said in his comments that the city would refuse to grant rally permits to alt-right groups based on their views.
However, the plaza right by Portland City Hall is actually federal property, and Wheeler is trying to get federal authorities to revoke the permits for the groups involved in a pair of June events..."

President Trump Ditched The Media To Make A 14-Year-Old Cancer Patient’s Dream Come True | American Military News
The 14-year-old Israeli girl has cancer and wanted to meet the President
The President showed a softer side during his recent, first trip abroad as commander in chief.
While in Israel, President Donald Trump met with a 14-year-old cancer patient whose dream was to meet the President.
Emilee Imbar has been fighting cancer for the past seven years.
Despite his incredibly busy schedule slated for his 27-hour trip to Israel, the President was eager to meet Imbar.
The two met at Rachashei Lev, which is Israel’s national support center for pediatric cancer patients.
Shimi Geshayed, Director of Rachashei Lev, and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamen Natanyahu facilitated the meeting.
Emilee gave the President a letter she had written, and writes “I will be glad to sit with you for a [business meeting].”

No, Trump Didn't Cause Obamacare to Fail - Stephen Moore:
"Now let's get serious. Blue Cross Blue Shield Kansas is leaving the market because they lost tens of millions of dollars two and three years ago -- long before anyone even imagined Trump running for president. The Wall Street Journal, Heritage Foundation, Cato Institute and others predicted this exact collapse from the day the bill was enacted seven years ago. Trump isn't the one who caused the recent nationwide 25 percent increase in premiums.
It is true that many of the insurers say one reason they are leaving the exchanges is because of "uncertainty" about what will happen with the insurance market next year. But Hillary Clinton would have been facing the same crisis."

Egyptian Mummy DNA Scanned–Not Out Of Africa, After All | VDARE - premier news outlet for patriotic immigration reform
Mummy DNA unravels ancient Egyptians’ ancestry
Genetic analysis reveals a close relationship with Middle Easterners, not central Africans.
The tombs of ancient Egypt have yielded golden collars and ivory bracelets, but another treasure — human DNA — has proved elusive.
Now, scientists have captured sweeping genomic information from Egyptian mummies.
It reveals that mummies were closely related to ancient Middle Easterners, hinting that northern Africans might have different genetic roots from people south of the Sahara desert.
The study, published on 30 May in Nature Communications1, includes data from 90 mummies buried between 1380 bc, during Egypt’s New Kingdom, and ad 425, in the Roman era.
The findings show that the mummies’ closest kin were ancient farmers from a region that includes present-day Israel and Jordan.
Modern Egyptians, by contrast, have inherited more of their DNA from central Africans. …
Both types of genomic material showed that ancient Egyptians shared little DNA with modern sub-Saharan Africans.
Instead, their closest relatives were people living during the Neolithic and Bronze ages in an area known as the Levant.
Strikingly, the mummies were more closely related to ancient Europeans and Anatolians than to modern Egyptians..."
Profs pledge to 'decolonize curricula' to fight 'privilege'
- A group of professors at American University are pledging to "decolonize curricula" by adding more “minority voices” and “intersectional studies” to their classes.
- In an open letter published earlier this month, the professors say campus is "hostile" and "dangerous" for black female students because of the “stresses of living amid White supremacy and fighting for social change.”
“Dear Sisters” was published by a group of 18 AU professors in the school newspaper The BlackPrint, a student-run newspaper that describes itself as a “safe space for people of color” to learn about campus news and to “stay woke.”
"We work behind the scenes...to decolonize curricula."...

It addressed the growing number of public school teachers in New York State that were earning six-figure salaries. As the article noted, the increasing salaries were becoming a strain for many public school budgets, particularly in districts with lower tax bases.
“Many of the top-paid teachers are in wealthy districts with high-performing schools, like Manhasset. But many are also in districts with little wealth and struggling schools, like Central Islip,” the news report said.
All these years later, it’s clear that the six-figure trend is a permanent feature of the Central payroll, particularly with benefits added in.
In 2015-16, 534 Central Islip teachers earned a combined $64,753,825 in base salary, for an eye-opening average of $121,261 per teacher.
They also received a combined $12,897,342 in benefits, for an average of $24,152 per teacher, and the school district made $8,566,330 in retirement contributions on their behalf, for an average of $16,041 per teacher.
That brought the average compensation for Central Islip teachers to at least $161,454 — $40,193 more than the average base salary..."

"The racist, Leftist hotbed of Evergreen State College is spiraling out of control.
First, students threatened the safety of a professor who disagreed with an event that demanded whites not come to campus for a day. Then they were caught on video threatening administrators and shouting racist demands.

Nope. As Campus Reform reports, he rewarded the racist mob with HOMEWORK EXEMPTIONS:"

The Right Geek: The True Feminist Message: Don't Hire Women
The Right Geek: The True Feminist Message: Don't Hire Women
Hello, Western employers!
As you may have noticed, today's feminist activists have a great deal to say about how women are and should be treated in the workforce.
And yes, I understand how difficult it can be to sift through their rhetoric and tease out exactly what you, as an employer, are expected to do.
Fortunately, I think I've finally managed to figure out their underlying message:
Don't hire women.
I know how bizarre this must seem.
After all, feminists claim to be looking out for women's best interests.
And yet, in presuming to speak for all of us, these activists have managed to paint our distaff sex in a very unappealing light.
Indeed, if feminists are to be accepted as our spokeswomen and exemplars, the following must be true:
Women don't understand math or science.
They don't comprehend, for example, that you can lie with statistics.
Certain numbers - such as the earnings gap - can be explained by phenomena that aren't nefarious, but women are simply incapable of analyzing said statistics in a critical manner.
Additionally, women can't tell the difference between science and scientism.
They conclude that because, for instance, so-called scientists once claimed that hysteria and neuroses could be cured by giving a woman a good poke, the entire scientific enterprise is a sexist joke..."
