In liberals’ imaginations, there are only four ways to lose elections — and none has to do with their leftist turn, their hysterics or their one-dimensional identity politics.
Democrats say they lose because of gerrymandering, voter suppression (sometimes known as asking for ID), Russian mind-control rays deployed by social media, and our antiquated and unfair Constitution.
That last excuse is becoming increasingly popular among pundits who continue to invent new crises to freak out about.
Wolves are destroying the U.P. economy: "I’m writing this letter to explain why I think the DNR allowing wolves to repopulate the Upper Peninsula was a bad idea.
Our ancestors may not have been college educated or anti-hunters, but they were smart enough to realize that wolves played no good part in our society.
There are approximately 600 to 1,000 wolves in the U.P.
A few years back, the DNR did a study on wolves in Ontonagon County.
There were five trackers following five different packs of wolves that had at least one collared wolf in each pack.
I spoke with one of the trackers.
He stated that the pack of eight wolves that he was following killed an average of one or two deer nightly, but one night they killed six deer..." Read all.
"...Posting daily newspaper clippings and photographs, found mainly in books and online archives, I began to see the Great War as a kind of portal between an older, more distant world—of kings with handlebar mustaches, splendid uniforms, and cavalry charges—and the one that we know: of planes and tanks, mass political movements, and camouflage.
It snuffed out ancient monarchies in czarist Russia, Habsburg Austria, and Ottoman Turkey, and gave birth to a host of new nations—Poland, Hungary, Czechoslovakia, Syria, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Armenia, Azerbaijan—that, in their struggles to survive and carve out an identity, continue to shape our world today.
The British declared their intent to create a national homeland in Palestine for the Jews..."
Here we go again. What was once unthinkable is now a routine spectacle as Obama and Clinton judges block a presidential move because they claim that the things they wanted considered, weren't.
A federal judge blocked the controversial Keystone XL oil pipeline Thursday, saying the Trump administration’s justification for approving it last year was incomplete.
Judge Brian Morris' ruling repeatedly faulted the Trump administration for reversing former President Obama’s 2015 denial of the pipeline permit without proper explanation. He said the State Department “simply discarded” climate change concerns related to the project.
Morris is an Obama appointee. Obviously. So he's illegally blocking a policy that resulted from an election while protecting his boss' own illegal move.
Video: Poll officials allow ‘tons’ of illegals to vote "In its latest undercover video series on the midterm elections, Project Veritas found election officials in Texas affirming non-citizens can vote and admitting “tons” already had done so in early voting.
The video released Tuesday shows a Project Veritas journalist asking an election official if her illegal immigrant boyfriend can vote as long as he is registered to vote and has a driver’s license.
“Yeah, OK,’ she says. “If he has his ID, that’s all he needs. If he’s registered.”
The Project Veritas journalist responds: “Right. It doesn’t matter that he’s not a citizen? I saw some mess on the internet that it’s not legal for him to vote because.”
The official says: “No. Don’t pay any attention to that. Bring him up here.”
Another official says there’s no issue with “DACA people” voting, referring to the illegal immigrant children whose deportation was delayed through an executive memorandum issued by President Obama.
“We got a lot of ’em,” the official says of illegal DACA voters.
The staffer admitted that while Gillum presents himself as a moderate, he’s a “progressive” and “part of the crazy, crazy, crazies.”...
WND also reported a Project Veritas’ video exposed the far-left views of the Democratic candidate in a tight race for retiring Republican Sen. Jeff Flake’s seat in Arizona, Rep. Kyrsten Sinema.
See the Project Veritas video on Arizona Senate candidate Kyrsten Sinema:
Lauren Fromm, a Sinema field organizer, confessed to an undercover journalist her candidate is too far to the left for Arizona: “She is pro-choice, she’s very liberal, she’s progressive. But she doesn’t in this election want to draw too much attention to being progressive.”
Madison Snarr, another field organizer, admitted Sinema “had to play centrist to move up, become powerful.”

ERICKSON: Where Do We Go When Journalism Fails Us? | Daily Wire
"This election should remind us how vital and necessary local journalism is to factual reporting. National media outlets routinely fell for stories about topics outside their knowledge base — stories specially crafted by political operates wanting to shape narratives about campaigns. All one need do is look at Georgia, where Secretary of State Brian Kemp won a closely watched governor's race against progressive darling Stacey Abrams. National reporters breathlessly reported stories about Kemp engaging in campaign shenanigans to such an extent that progressives are convinced he stole the race.
...In southern Georgia, national reporters covered the tale of Kemp trying to close a county's black voting precincts, forcing black voters to drive or walk many miles to predominantly white polling locations. The truth?
The Democratic county commissioners and Democrat-controlled local board of elections hired a consultant to review polling locations for compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
The consultant recommended consolidating several locations deemed unfriendly to handicapped voters.
The locations were all the Republican precincts that voted for Donald Trump.
The Democrat majority precincts were not touched..." Read all!
Why do Americans entertain the press as safekeepers of democracy? We are not a democracy, nor is such deep trust in the press warranted by history.
When George Washington sat at the head of the table at the Constitutional Convention, he allowed no daily briefing of the press and forbade notes to leave the room. Washington, like President Trump, did not take kindly to leakers.
6.5M people with active Social Security numbers are 112 or older: IG - Washington Times
"Roughly 6.5 million people with active Social Security numbers are age 112 and older, according to an audit by the Social Security Administration’s inspector general.
The March 4 audit concluded that the administration “did not have controls in place to annotate death information” on the the main electronic file, called Numident, for Social Security numberholders who exceeded maximum reasonable life expectancies and were likely deceased.
“We obtained Numident data that identified approximately 6.5 million numberholders born before June 16, 1901 who did not have a date of death on their record,” the report states..." Read all.
Despite what CNN says, there's nothing cool about socialism
It is frustrating to me that many Americans are ignorant of the crimes of socialist and communist movements. My grandmother grew up in Ukraine, which was then a part of the USSR — the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.
After waking each morning, she checked to see if any of her family members died during the night. Many of her compatriots were already dead because Joseph Stalin, the Soviet leader, implemented a mass starvation program.
Known as the “Holodomor,” the goal of the policy was to starve Ukrainians into submission.
It worked as intended: Stalin murdered perhaps four million Ukrainians. (For this reason and others, Ukrainians are a bit prickly when asked if their accent is Russian.)
My grandmother only escaped this torture when she, along with the Russian man who would become my grandfather, were kidnapped by the Nazis and taken to Germany as slave labor.
Thus, they stopped living the Soviet Socialist dream and began experiencing the National Socialist dream, instead.
...My grandmother passed away in 1995 and my grandfather died last month.
It is in their honor that I tell their story and on their behalf that I make this plea: Just like with Naziism, we must make it socially unacceptable to express any positive sentiments toward socialism or communism.
Its 100 million victims cry out..." Read all.
To put it another way, the president here would not be attempting to make a new law, but to enforce the correct view of an existing law.
Sure, his order would be immediately challenged. Perhaps we’d even wind up with Congress clarifying the original intent of the law.
All the more reason to do it. Fairness demands that we get this issue settled—and soon.
Environmentalist Policies Are Exacerbating Wildfires. It’s Time to Rethink Forest Management. - California Political Review "Over 200,000 acres in Northern California have burned, 41 people are dead and close to 6,000 structures, including whole neighborhoods, are gone.
While the proximate cause may be PG&E and its equipment, the real cause of the massive destruction is the lack of forest management by the National Forest Service.
They have the view that cutting down dead and diseased trees and clearing the underbrush—to take away the fuel for a fire—is morally wrong.
So instead of savings property and lives, the Feds along with the State of California have determined that trees are more important than people—and by making that decision harm the trees and people..." Read on.

The Clinton campaign's top lawyer who was behind the controversial anti-Trump dossier is spearheading the recount effort to keep Floridian Bill Nelson in the U.S. Senate, and is already facing accusations he is trying to "steal" the seat from under the noses of the Republicans.
Marc Elias, of Seattle-based law firm Perkins Coie, retained opposition research firm Fusion GPS which hired former British spy Christopher Steele to compile the dossier which included salacious and unverified allegations about President Trump's visit to Russia before he was elected to the White House.
