Don Surber: Nazi till proven innocent

Don Surber: Nazi till proven innocent
"Pete Gust took a picture of his son and about 60 other high school senior boys on the steps outside the Sauk County Courthouse in Baraboo, Wisconsin.
He told them to wave to their parents.
Then he posted the photo online.

Nazi Salute! Jules Suzdaltsev of Vice Media declared.

If anybody from Baraboo High School in Wisconsin can clue me in on why it appears the entire male class of 2018 is throwing up a Sig Heil during their prom photos - that would be great.

And now the police are investigating, the high school is investigating, and the father who took the photo is apologizing.
There's your white privilege.
There's your male privilege.
The boys have joined the Duke lacrosse team and Brett Kavanaugh's boofing brothers in being unfairly maligned.
The new rule is if you are a white male, do not raise your arm.
Kevin Vodak, the president of the Baraboo school board, said, "The photo has shaken to the core my personal belief of the process that we as a community and as a school district have made to be tolerant, inclusive, accepting and admitting of all of those who are different from ourselves."
Literally shaking, eh?
In 21st century America, race relations have deteriorated to the point where we assume all white people are Nazis, until proven otherwise.
Especially males."

Records: Too many votes in 37% of Detroit’s precincts
"Voting machines in more than one-third of all Detroit precincts registered more votes than they should have during last month’s presidential election, according to Wayne County records prepared at the request of The Detroit News.See the source image
Detailed reports from the office of Wayne County Clerk Cathy Garrett show optical scanners at 248 of the city’s 662 precincts, or 37 percent, tabulated more ballots than the number of voters tallied by workers in the poll books. Voting irregularities in Detroit have spurred plans for an audit by Michigan Secretary of State Ruth Johnson’s office, Elections Director Chris Thomas said Monday.
...The problems were the worst in Detroit, where discrepancies meant officials couldn’t recount votes in 392 precincts, or nearly 60 percent. And two-thirds of those precincts had too many votes..."

The Mob at Tucker Carlson’s Home Shows How Idealism Can Lead to Evil | Intellectual Takeout

The Mob at Tucker Carlson’s Home Shows How Idealism Can Lead to Evil | Intellectual Takeout
"Last week, angry “Smash Racism DC” Antifa protestors chanted obscenities outside the home of Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson: "Racist scumbag, leave town!"
They ominously added, “Tucker Carlson, we will fight. We know where you sleep at night."
The mob broke Carlson’s front door.
A video captured one protester saying she wished she had a pipe bomb.
...CNN Host Justifies Mob Violence
This past summer, CNN anchor Chris Cuomo provided a moral justification for mobs like the one outside Carlson’s home.
"People who show up to fight against bigots are not to be judged the same as the bigots, even if they do resort to the same petty violence," Cuomo said.
He argued: "When someone comes to call out bigots, and it gets hot, even physical, are they equally wrong as the bigot they are fighting? I argue, no. Fighting against hate matters."
Cuomo’s words provide succor to violent thugs.
...History is clear: When the ordinary restraints of civil society no longer apply, there is no forecasting who will be caught in the resulting web of hatred.

Jim Acosta Is a Creep and CNN's Lawsuit Is a Joke - The Rush Limbaugh Show

Jim Acosta Is a Creep and CNN's Lawsuit Is a Joke - The Rush Limbaugh Show:

Image result for flickr commons images Cnn logoBottom line is this, Jim Acosta has no constitutional right to be admitted to the White House, period. Jim Acosta has no constitutional right to a White House press pass, period. Jim Acosta has no constitutional right to a White House-issued microphone. And Jim Acosta has no constitutional right to ask the president of the United States questions.
Because, you see, the White House is not prohibiting CNN from being in there. CNN is not being denied access. CNN is not being denied the opportunity to ask questions or harass the president. CNN’s got a reporter in there replacing Acosta. There literally are no grounds. There’s no basis for this. Freedom of the press does not extend to individual — the White House is not required to let anybody who wants in there, in there!

California’s Paradise Lost - WSJ

California’s Paradise Lost - WSJ:
"... “There is no reason for these massive, deadly and costly forest fires in California except that forest management is so poor,” Mr. Trump tweeted.
“Billions of dollars are given each year, with so many lives lost, all because of gross mismanagement of the forests. Remedy now, or no more Fed payments!”
See the source image...fueling the fires is an overgrown government bureaucracy that frustrates proper forest management.
About 57% of California forestland is owned by the federal government while most of the rest is private land regulated by the state.
Nearly 130 million trees died in California between 2010 and 2017 due to drought and a bark beetle infestation.
Dense forests put trees at greater risk for parasitic infection and enable fires to spread faster.
When dead trees fall, they add more combustible fuel.
...California also restricts timber harvesting and requires myriad permits and environmental-impact statements to prune overgrown forests.
...One problem for landowners is disposing of deadwood.
Dozens of biomass facilities that burn tree parts that can’t be used for lumber have closed due to emissions regulations and competition from subsidized renewables and cheap natural gas..."

Monica Lewinsky slams Bill Clinton in new essay: He 'should want to apologize' - Washington Times:

Image result for wikicommons images Monica Lewinsky TodayMonica Lewinsky penned a scathing new essay Tuesday criticizing how former President Bill Clinton “safely, even smugly” gave interviews for years without ever having to answer for how he treated her in the 1990s scandal that eventually led to his impeachment.
In a piece for Vanity Fair, where she is a contributing editor, Ms. Lewinsky explained why she chose to participate in the new documentary series, “The Clinton Affair,” which premieres Sunday on A&E.

Ultralow Surface Temperatures in East Antarctica From Satellite Thermal Infrared Mapping: The Coldest Places on Earth

First published: 25 June 2018[…]

Plain Language Summary

The lowest measured air temperature on Earth is −89.2 °C (−129 F) on 23 July 1983, observed at Vostok Station in Antarctica (Turner et al., 2009, https://doi.org/10.1029/2009JD012104). However, satellite data collected during the Antarctic polar night during 2004–2016 reveal a broad region of the high East Antarctic Plateau above Vostok that regularly reaches snow surface temperatures of −90 °C and below. These occur in shallow topographic depressions near the highest part of the ice sheet, at 3,800 to 4,050‐m elevation....[…]
See the source imageComparisons with nearby automated weather stations suggest that air temperatures during these events are near −94 ± 4 °C or about −138 F. Ultracold conditions (below −90 °C) occur more frequently when the Antarctic polar vortex is strong. This temperature appears to be about as low as it is possible to reach, even under clear skies and very dry conditions, because heat radiating from the cold clear air is nearly equal to the heat radiating from the bitterly cold snow surface..."

Electric bills goin' UP, UP, UP!-----Woman warned about ‘sparks’ from power lines day before deadly wildfire

Woman warned about ‘sparks’ from power lines day before deadly wildfire
"A woman in Northern California said Monday that the Pacific Gas & Electric Co. contacted her about “sparks” in power lines on her property one day before the deadly wildfire in Paradise began.
Betsy Ann Cowley said the power company emailed her on Wednesday and warned that they were “having problems with sparks” and needed access to her property in the small town of Pulga.
On Thursday, the wildfire started near Pulga and incinerated the neighboring town of Paradise.
...Earlier Monday, PG&E said it experienced a problem on an electrical transmission line near the site of the massive fire, minutes before the blaze broke out.
California authorities have launched a probe targeting PG&E to “assess the compliance of electric facilities with applicable rules and regulations in fire impacted areas.”

The Art of the Steal: Dems Set Stage for 2020 - The Rush Limbaugh Show:

Image result for flickr commons images Rush LimbaughI think if we stick at this long enough and we dig deep enough to find out what they’re actually doing here, I think the Democrats are trying to set the stage for some kind of election law change or adjustment that they think they’re gonna need in 2020. You know, Florida is perennially close, like Ohio is, and I think that the focus on the recounts here for Nelson and Scott and Gillum and DeSantis is actually intended to keep our attention distracted from what may really – I don’t know what it is. Do not misunderstand, I cannot specify what might be going on, but I can tell you all we have to do, if you think things are normal in Florida, take a look at this. This is not normal. This is abnormal.

MATH ERROR: Scientists Admit ‘Mistakes’ Led To Alarming Results In Major Global Warming Study | Watts Up With That?
  • Scientists behind a headline-grabbing climate study admitted they “really muffed” their paper.
  • Their study claimed to find 60 percent more warming in the oceans, but that was based on math errors.
  • The errors were initially spotted by scientist Nic Lewis, who called them “serious (but surely inadvertent) errors.”

The scientists behind a headline-grabbing global warming study did something that seems all too rare these days — they admitted to making mistakes and thanked the researcher, a global warming skeptic, who pointed them out..."

GOP will never win a statewide election in MI again. Ever.

GOP will never win a statewide election in MI again.
Ever.
I worked all election day (in MI) as poll worker.
The only proof we were allowed to check was name/address on ID.
As long as name and address were confirmed on computer as "legally registered", they got to vote.
A black 6'7" male could show ID for a white 5'6" female.
Or, instead of producing photo ID, sign the affidavit below.
We could force a "provisional ballot" but reality is it rarely happens.
Similar issue in most states.
"Register-to-vote" laws are fuzzy and easy to fudge.
But once registered, no matter if illegally, the vote is considered legal.
Works really well for the large scale Absentee Voter vote thieves.
GOP has had 8 years to fix but scared of "racist" label.
Therefore, when vote stealing is exposed, GOPer leaders cave and say "twas an honest mistake".
Since most of the really overt cheating is done in democrat (minority) controlled cities, I don't see GOP winning many/any close elections.
Ever again.
(This not an indictment of the vast majority of MI county/city/twp. clerks or poll workers. The system, controlled by the GOP, has set the rules. The rules require all be honest. Dishonesty is rarely punished, always rewarded.)

California Wildfires are NOT due to ‘climate change’ – Dr. Rich Swier

California Wildfires are NOT due to ‘climate change’ – Dr. Rich Swier:

Image result for flickr commons images Forrest fire“In the United States, wildfires are also due in part to a failure to thin forests or remove dead and diseased trees. In 2014, forestry professor David B. South of Auburn University testified to the U.S. Senate Environment and Public Works Committee that “data suggest that extremely large megafires were four-times more common before 1940,” adding that “we cannot reasonably say that anthropogenic global warming causes extremely large wildfires.” As he explained, “To attribute this human-caused increase in fire risk to carbon dioxide emissions is simply unscientific.”

"California is also home to the 9th Circuit, which consistently rules against proper forest management on federal lands and sustains green groups which fight any attempts by individuals to clear brush and scrub that threatens their property.

All his neighbors who complied with the regulations' houses burned.
Only his remained.
All to "save" the kangaroo rat, which may have found his yard's habitat attractive.
The very animals the greens proclaim they want to protect die in massive numbers in catastrophic wildfires.
And then they blame it on global warming.
And ask for contributions."
