Brian Kolfage, an airman who lost both his legs and one of his hands in Iraq, started the GoFundMe page over the weekend and, in less than a week, raised $4.3 million of the $1 billion goal.
“Like a majority of those American citizens who voted to elect President Donald J. Trump, we voted for him to Make America Great Again,” Kolfage said in the fundraiser description. “President Trump’s main campaign promise was to BUILD THE WALL.

"Veteran tech journalist Walt Mossberg has quit Facebook, stating that the social media giant’s actions have diverged with his own values and that he is no longer “comfortable” on the platform.
...“I am doing this — after being on Facebook for nearly 12 years — because my own values and the policies and actions of Facebook have diverged to the point where I’m no longer comfortable here,” Mossberg wrote in his post.
...Mossberg wrote:“This is a decision I am making just for myself.
If the company or the service change significantly for the better, in my view, or become effectively regulated, I may resume regular use.”..."

Victor Davis Hanson: We Are Witnessing a Soft Coup of the Trump Administration (Video)
"Author and historian Victor Davis Hanson joined Tucker Carlson on Tuesday night after the Flynn court hearing today.
Hanson described the fantastical stories building on the left and the US elite’s unwillingness to accept the results of the 2016 election.
Hanson described it as a soft coup.
Victor Davis Hanson: This Mueller investigation that we have is not in isolation.
We had, remember, from the day Trump was elected...

  • we were told the election machines were flawed,
  • we were going to sue.
  • And then there was a group, remember we were told about the Electoral College, and
  • we were told we had to overturn the electors.
  • And then we went to the 25th Amendment that Trump was unbalanced.
  • And that didn’t work.
  • And then we went to the emoluments clause, he profited even though his businesses had lost a billion dollars.
  • And then we’ve gone to Mueller.
And so there’s a slow motion if you will, I don’t want to be too psychodramatic like MSNBC gets. But there is sort of a slow motion coup to overturn the elections.
He’s right.

A Chinese doctor claimed to have created two genetically modified human embryos who were successfully nurtured to birth, and the worldwide scientific community roundly rejected this experiment as a violation of ethics.
In turn, the Chinese government condemned the doctor and called for an immediate investigation.

Don’t Let The Media Convince You The USA Is Dangerous For Journalists | The Daily Caller

Don’t Let The Media Convince You The USA Is Dangerous For Journalists | The Daily Caller:
"The narrative began when Time magazine decided to dedicate its person of the year to “The Guardians,” a group of reporters best known by member Jamal Khashoggi, a U.S. resident murdered by the Saudi Arabian government.
Other outlets picked up on Times’ lead, as nonprofit Reporters Without Borders added the U.S. onto its list of countries most deadliest for journalists for the first time ever — joining Mexico and Syria.
Reuters decided to bury the true reason for why the U.S. had an inordinate amount of journalists die in 2018 in the eight paragraph of its Tuesday report:

  • the tragic slaying of five employees at the Capital Gazette‘s offices in Annapolis, Maryland, in June.
  • Two were killed in weather-related incidents

...But don’t expect the media to bother with any nuance as it parades this new list around.
Despite the fact that, according to the Committee to Protect Journalists, only five journalists were killed on the job in the U.S from 2000 to 2017, the media will continue its full-throated effort to convince the American people that something has changed since President Donald Trump’s victory..."

"In the second year of the Trump Administration, the media went all in.
This was the year when reporters, in the race to claim a scalp, began loosening the usual boundaries governing journalism.
It was the year “corroborating evidence” became the most hotly contested term in America,
...Whatever Trump was for, the media came out against.
...There was so much, in fact, that we had expand our normal custom of compiling the “Top 10 Most Mortifying Media Moments” and expand it to a more befitting “Top 18.”

"In 2017, the total deer population in the United States was an estimated 33.5 million, down from 38.1 million in 2000.
Image result for deer car accidentsHunters should rejoice over their excellent shooting, and then get outside and kill millions more.
This macabre call to arms might unsettle anyone whose heart ached at viewing the plight of poor Bambi, but it's a prescription that's sorely needed, for at their current population, deer are ravaging ecosystems across the country.
This wasn't the case in the very early 1900s.
Then, after decades of wanton hunting, there may have been as few as 300,000 deer left roaming the wilds of America..."

'They Shall Not Grow Old': Peter Jackson's Masterpiece War Memorial | Rule of Law
"Our war memorials are usually made of brass or stone.
But Peter Jackson’s astonishing new film They Shall Not Grow Old is a war memorial for the big screen.
Jackson’s film has done the impossible:
He has created a time machine.
Jackson was given access to the sound and video archives of the Imperial War Museum and tasked with producing a documentary about World War I in time for the centenary commemoration of the armistice on November 11, 2018. (Link to trailer here.)
After playing to sold-out theaters across the United Kingdom in October, the film will show just one more day in the United States – December 27.
December 17, the only day the film has shown so far in the United States, saw packed theaters.
Jackson’s film portrays the World War I soldier as you have never seen him: in color, in high definition, and with sound.
They Shall Not Grow Old painstakingly cleans up the old jerky films of the Great War.
It removes the blemishes, turns them into clean high definition, and colorizes them with thorough, painstaking accuracy.
The film speed is even reset to natural motion, so no more unnatural gaits.
Jackson’s technical wizardry turns the landscapes of France into something vivid, expansive, and apocalyptic.
But it’s the faces of the young soldiers that will haunt you..."

The House on Thursday passed a stopgap funding bill that would keep the federal government running into early February and give President Trump the additional money he’s seeking for security along the U.S.-Mexico border.
The House voted 217-185, largely along party lines, to pass the bill.
“We have a president who ran on this issue,” said House Majority Whip Steve Scalise. “This is about getting back to rule of law. This is about keeping America safe.”
