Follow the (climate change) money - Washington Times

Follow the (climate change) money - Washington Times:

Image result for Wikimedia Commons Pile of MoneyThe first iron rule of American politics is: Follow the money. This explains, oh, about 80 percent of what goes on in Washington.
Shortly after the latest Chicken Little climate change report was published last month, I noted on CNN that one reason so many hundreds of scientists are persuaded that the sky is falling is that they are paid handsomely to do so.
I noted that “In America and around the globe governments have created a multi-billion dollar Climate Change Industrial Complex.” And then I added: “A lot of people are getting really, really rich off of the climate change industry.” According to a recent report by the U.S. Government Accountability Office, “Federal funding for climate change research, technology, international assistance, and adaptation has increased from $2.4 billion in 1993 to $11.6 billion in 2014, with an additional $26.1 billion for climate change programs and activities provided by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act in 2009.”

Germany: New Law Banning Child Marriage Declared Unconstitutional
  • The ruling, which effectively opens the door to legalizing Sharia-based child marriages in Germany, is one of a growing number of instances in which German courts are — wittingly or unwittingly — promoting the establishment of a parallel Islamic legal system in the country.
  • "Germany cannot, on the one hand, be against child marriages internationally, and on the other hand, be for such marriages in our own country. The best interests of the child cannot be compromised in this case. (...) This is about the constitutionally established protection of children and minors!" — Winfried Bausback, Bavarian lawmaker who helped draft the law against child marriage.
  • "We should consider one more thing: judgments are made 'in the name of the people.' This people has clearly expressed through its representatives in the Bundestag that it no longer wants to recognize child marriage." —

CAMP: How Is The Democratic Border Security Solution Morally Different From Trump’s Wall? | Daily Wire:

Image result for flickr commons images Nancy PelosiSo, given the erroneous but oft repeated talking point that there is no difference, practically speaking, between a border wall and a border secured by technology and manpower, one must ask a critical question: Why would Democrats decry a wall as immoral while simultaneously calling for measures that would, according to them, accomplish the same objective?
The answer is deceptively simple – optics.
First and foremost, the Democrats must oppose President Trump at every turn,

The fix is in?-----John Huber, Justice Dept. Sheriff Who Never Quite Rode Into Town | RealClearInvestigations

John Huber, Justice Dept. Sheriff Who Never Quite Rode Into Town | RealClearInvestigations
"John Huber has developed almost mythical status among pro-Trump tweeters since former Attorney General Jeff Sessions directed him to investigate why the FBI spied on Trump’s aides and whether they protected Hillary Clinton and her foundation over alleged misdeeds.
...Instead, more than a year since his appointment, Huber’s lack of traction on either front is leading many once hopeful supporters to dismiss his investigation as a “sham."
RealClearInvestigations has learned from potential witnesses, their lawyers and others close to the investigations, that Huber has not impaneled a federal grand jury to subpoena witnesses or hear evidence.
...While some witnesses and their attorneys complain he’s not doing his job, some critics who once had high hopes for Huber now suspect he was never expected to.
They say Huber’s appointment was always political, that the Justice Department had no interest in exposing its own corruption and named this longtime department official to mollify Republicans who clamored for the appointment of a second special counsel to investigate FBI and Justice activities under the Obama administration.
...Toensing represents a whistleblower in the so-called Uranium One scandal, who she says still has not been contacted by Huber.
Her client, Doug Campbell, an FBI informant who claims to have evidence that Clinton helped Russians secure U.S.-based uranium rights in a quid pro quo for large donations to her family’s foundation and speaking fees for former President Bill Clinton from the Russian company at the heart of the deal..."

We know walls are for Nazis, racists and deplorables, right?
So Wilhem DiBlasio, NYC’s Commissar decides a “privacy fence” is in order.
See, this is Trump’s biggest failing.
He should never have used the word “wall.”
He should have followed Cher’s lead and called it a “virtue ring.”
There, I fixed it.

NUTS! An American General Gave The Germans A Massive Metaphorical Middle Finger On This Day In 1944 | The Daily Caller

NUTS! An American General Gave The Germans A Massive Metaphorical Middle Finger On This Day In 1944 | The Daily Caller
"...December 22, marks the 74-year anniversary of American Brig. Gen. Anthony C. McAuliffe’s legendary reply to the Germans during the Battle of the Bulge.
During the Battle of the Bulge, German forces had surrounded the Americans holding Bastogne and the area around the town.
German forces approached the men of the 101st Airborne Divison to demand their honorable surrender or face annihilation.
In the absence of General Maxwell Taylor, McAuliffe was in charge of the 101st.
The German message was delivered to him around noon, and read in part:
This time the U.S.A.
forces in and near Bastogne have been encircled by strong
German armored units. More German armored units have crossed
the river Ourthe near Ortheuville, have taken Marche and
reached St. Hubert by passing through Hompre-Sibret-Tillet.
Libramont is in German hands.
There is only one possibility to save the encircled
U.S.A troops from total annihilation: that is the honorable
surrender of the encircled town. In order to think it over
a term of two hours will be granted beginning with the
presentation of this note.
If this proposal should be rejected one German
Artillery Corps and six heavy A. A. Battalions are ready
to annihilate the U.S.A. troops in and near Bastogne. The order for firing will be given immediately after this two hours’ term.
What did McAuliffe do?
Did he order his men to throw their weapons down and surrender to the Germans, who had them outnumbered and encircled?
Did he cave to the enormous threat from the enemy?
No, he simply replied with one word: NUTS!
His full message read:

Would Democrats wreck America to win in 2020? - WND

See the source imageWould Democrats wreck America to win in 2020? - WND:
"...Democratic analysts are frightened for their party’s future.
...Democrats predicted a “blue wave” in the 2018 midterms, but won only about 25 seats to barely claim control of the House of Representatives.
More than 40 Republican members of Congress refused to seek reelection; without those GOP dropouts, Republicans almost certainly would have kept Democrats a minority in the House.
Democrats also stole an additional dozen or so seats in Democrat-ruled states such as California, where Republicans who won on election night were later drowned by a late flood of mysterious pro-Democratic “ballots from nowhere” that everybody knows were fraudulent.
(This is why George Soros spent millions electing leftist Secretaries of State to manipulate state ballot recounts.)
Voters increased the GOP Senate majority, showing how little love they have for Democrats.
So what must Democrats do to win in 2020?
[The] way you get rid of Trump is a crashing economy.
So, please, bring on the recession,” says leftist HBO comic Bill Maher.
“Sorry if that hurts people … [but] a recession is a survivable event; what Trump is doing to this country is not.”..."

“If I was a Republican this is not something I’d consider,” Homan declared. The former acting ICE director also continued, “If they want to give us less beds then we’re back to catch and release,” adding, these restrictions “would make matters worse.”

USAF's Next Budget Request Will Include New F-15X Advanced Eagle Fighter Jets: Report - The Drive

USAF's Next Budget Request Will Include New F-15X Advanced Eagle Fighter Jets: Report - The Drive
Reapers sweep across One Sky"Last July, I broke a story about the existence of Boeing's F-15X Advanced Eagle concept, one that the plane-maker had been in discussions with the USAF about for many months.
That aircraft would be procured to replace America's existing F-15C/D aircraft..

...With an airframe life of a whopping 20,000 hours, and the latest sensors, flight control systems, and avionics, the F-15X would serve for many decades at an operating cost that Boeing claims will trounce that of the existing F-15C/D fleet—the youngest of which is now 32 years old—basically paying for the airframes with savings within about a decade..."

Americans, Learn From The Yellow Jackets: Stop Running And Start Fighting Back

Americans, Learn From The Yellow Jackets: Stop Running And Start Fighting BackAmericans, Learn From The Yellow Jackets: Stop Running And Start Fighting Back
"In France, the Yellow Jackets (or “Gilets Jaunes” in French) have rushed into the streets in massive numbers.
They are not protesting cuts in the generous entitlements.
They are not throwing fits because they fear losing one-month paid vacations.
The fight is about the increased fuel taxes—exorbitant taxes on top of the already high cost of fuel.
But it’s more.
...The unrest is also targeting the inflexible, unaccountable EU bureaucracy.

  • Belgian Yellow Jackets are protesting the main offices in Maastricht and Brussels.
  • Europeans have started to realize that the federalization of the continent is not working out as they had hoped.
  • A common currency, a common market has turned into communistic micromanaging.
  • The economically stronger countries are expected to carry the costs of the fiscally weaker nations.
  • The central planners want open borders, cheap labor, and the resolute silencing of any disagreement to their plans.
  • A federalized Europe is not working out.
  • A Frenchman cannot run to Portugal, Spain, or Italy to escape the moral and fiscal ruin of his home country.
  • French voters have no choice but to fight back for their rights and dignity in their home countries...
