Exclusive: Insects could vanish within a century at current rate of decline, says global review
The world’s insects are hurtling down the path to extinction, threatening a “catastrophic collapse of nature’s ecosystems”, according to the first global scientific review.
More than 40% of insect species are declining and a third are endangered, the analysis found.
The rate of extinction is eight times faster than that of mammals, birds and reptiles. The total mass of insects is falling by a precipitous 2.5% a year, according to the best data available, suggesting they could vanish within a century..."
Portland Residents Call 911 Every 15 Minutes To Complain About Homeless People "Officials in Portland, Ore. recently estimated it will cost $640 million over the next 10 years in order to help adequately prevent homelessness in the area, but a report out this week shows that many citizens from the City of Roses have simply resorted to calling the police on unwanted vagrants.
In fact, authorities say that more any other problem, residents are calling the emergency hotline to complain about homeless people even when immediate danger is not present.
Katie Shepherd of the Willamette Week reports that the Portland Police Bureau receives a call from the public on average every 15 minutes per day to complain about an unsheltered person who "frightens or inconveniences them."
When lumped together with other calls such as mental health emergencies, police recieve calls every 4 minutes for a non-violent issue..." Read all!
How Obama Secretly Gave Iran Access To Billions Of Dollars — And Also Enabled Terrorism
6/08/2018
"Iran: One of the linchpins of former President Obama's nuclear deal with Iran was that it would be accompanied by a near-ban on Iran having any access to the U.S. banking system.
A new congressional report says that, too, was a lie. Obama and his officials at the Treasury Department and State Department were clear: They would work assiduously to freeze out Iran from getting dollars to fund its mischief and mayhem around the world.
The Associated Press, puts it this way: "As the Treasury and State Department worked behind the scenes to help Iran access the dollar, the message to Congress remained the same: The JCPOA (Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action) did not allow Iran to access the U.S. financial system." Obama sent a clear message to Congress: If you don't block this nuclear deal, we will bar Iran's access to our financial system. The deal was clear, unequivocal.
It was also a lie. Obama lied, and so did others in his administration. That's the conclusion of a report by the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations.
It alleges Obama officials pushed the U.S. Treasury to let Iran convert the equivalent of $5.7 billion of funds held in Oman's Bank of Muscat from rials into dollars and subsequently into euros..." Read on.
NASA space weather observations, extremely low sunspot counts, and a severe Polar Vortex are consistent with cyclical global cooling onset.
...As the Earth was completing Solar Cycle 24, sunspot counts and magnetic activity were expected cyclically to fall from a high of over 100 in 2014 to a low of zero in 2022. But the sunspot count plunged to zero in mid-2018 and has remained substantially lower than forecast for Solar Cycle 25.
The data could indicate onset of a super-cycle "Maunder Minimum." The last Maunder Minimum period from 1645 to 1715 was a period with 7 percent less sunspots and global cooling, referred to as the "Little Ice Age."
The Little Ice Age altered atmospheric circulation patterns across northern Europe, resulting in widespread crop failures, famine, disease, and increased child mortality.
London's Thames River froze over most years during the period.
Martin Mlynczak of NASA's Langley Research Center reported in September: "High above Earth's surface, near the edge of space, our atmosphere is losing heat energy.
If current trends continue, it could soon set a Space Age record for cold."... Read on.
As many publications have noted, while Snopes pretends to be a neutral site looking only for the true facts, many of its writers, and the actual owners, lean a little bit to the left when they walk down the street.
It has also become painfully obvious more and more of the “true” stories support a liberal agenda whereas most of the stories that would support the right tend to be considered “fake news” by the “neutral” publication.
After doing some digging on various websites, I believe The Angry Patriot has found ample proof that Snopes is indeed FAKE NEWS!
1 – The first reason is not so much reason as it is a suspicion. Liberal Facebook is all of a sudden deciding it wants to monitor the news to ensure its members are getting only REAL news. Now, Facebook’s leadership is notoriously left-wing oriented, so it would make sense it would find a left-friendly “fact-checking” website to back its own agenda.
...10 –Snopes also debunked a story that we and several other publications ran that claimed, “Hillary Clinton successfully defended an accused child rapist and later laughed about the case.” While they conceded that Hillary did in fact defend him, what they proved false has nothing at all to do with the case.
Snopes’ debunking gave this specific reason for the Mostly False rating: “Hillary Clinton did not volunteer to be the defendant’s lawyer, she did not laugh about the case’s outcome, she did not assert that the complainant ‘made up the rape story,’ she did not claim she knew the defendant to be guilty, and she did not ‘free’ the defendant.”
Now, as far as I can tell, that “False” claim has nothing to do with the actual claim of Hillary defending the rapist. The rating should have been TRUE because she did defend him, AND she did laugh about it while doing an interview with Roy Reed in the 1980s.
The moment of the laugh came when she was describing the case where she stated, “It was a fascinating case. The guy was accused of raping a 12-year-old. Of course, he claimed that he didn’t. He took a lie detector test. I had him take a polygraph, which he passed, which forever destroyed my faith in polygraphs.” And then she laughed.
This is not fake news folks — listen to it for yourself…
Again, I am no legal expert, but that sure does sound like an admission of someone who once defended a man for raping a 12-year-old girl, knowing he was guilty, and then laughing about it, yet Snopes still decided the original claim was “Mostly False.”... Read all.
A White House study released on Friday found that President Donald Trump’s Obamacare reforms will save Americans roughly $450 billion over the next ten years.
A White House Council of Economic Advisers (CEA) study released on Friday found that Americans will save $450 billion through Trump’s Obamacare reforms. The CEA suggested that Trump’s repeal of the Obamacare individual mandate and the expansion of short-term insurance plans and Association Health Plans (AHPs) will save Americans billions over the next ten years.
The Hijacking of a Presidential Election
"...What’s interesting is that Clinton beat Trump by more votes in California than she did nationwide, precisely 1,401,287 more votes.
Though Trump’s claim that illegal voting threw the popular vote to Clinton is sheer speculation, we can say that if we exclude California that Trump did in fact win the popular vote in the rest of the nation, and by exactly 1,401,287 votes. ...Government officials have assured us that Russians did not change the vote counts in 2016. Elections are conducted by the states, and each state has its own separate election system, so changing the votes would be enormously difficult.
And besides, “there is no serious person out there who would suggest somehow that you could even rig America’s elections, in part because they’re so decentralized.” We were told this by no less than Obama Himself, (so it must be true).
Obama fails to see the obvious. If the Russians wanted to throw the popular vote to Trump in 2016, all they would have needed to change is the popular vote in just one state, California with its 55 electoral votes… not the entire country.
Trump could have even lost his three “blue wall” states and still have won had he gotten California, and he’d have had an even greater total at 313 electoral votes.
...One of the safeguards to ensuring the integrity of the popular vote is voter registration. But the states are failing at this important task. Recently, California came under fire for registering illegal aliens at the Department of Motor Vehicles..." Read all!!

He successfully showed how clean the coal burned and how cheaply it could be used as a heating fuel. 1975 - Margaret Thatcher became the first woman to head a major party in Britain when she was elected leader of the Conservative Party.
If the future of the nation were a function of logic, then conservatives would have a very easy job.
No debate would be needed, really. In the choice between the two competing models Judeo-Christian civilization has given us, with socialist arguments for “big government” on the one side and a market-oriented system that favors the freedoms of the individual over the powers of the state on the other, there would be no contest.
In fact, it would indeed be a formal “no contest,” as only one of the models has ever been realized in the real world in which we live.
Colorado releases new report on health effects of marijuana | SummitDaily.com
"...The report revealed that usage rates among adults continue to rise.
Adults who have used marijuana in the past 30 days of taking a survey increased from 13.6 percent in 2016 to 15.5 percent in 2017, considerably higher than the national average of 9.5 percent. ...Individuals who identified in the LGBTQ community also reported significantly higher usage rates (34.7 percent) than those who identified as heterosexual (14.5). ...About 19 percent of Colorado high school students and 5.2 percent of middle schoolers reported using marijuana 30 days before the survey, a steady rate compared to 2016 and consistent with the national average.
Despite relatively inspiring data surrounding adolescent usage, the report still notes serious concerns regarding marijuana in homes with children.
...About 5.5 percent of homes with children reported marijuana being smoked inside, meaning an estimated 32,800 homes contained possible secondhand marijuana smoke..." Read on.
"Little Miss Occasional Cortex removed her House Resolution, Green New Deal and the FAQ page which accompanied it. She's now claiming that some of its more outlandish provisions - welfare for those who are unwilling to work, eventual elimination of air travel, implementation of socialized medicine, higher-ed and more - were cooked up by Republican detractors.
NPR evidently did not get the memo right away. Their website is still proudly sporting links to the initial release, the update on Thursday and the FAQ Page.
Green New Deal Demands 'Economic Security' for Americans 'Unwilling to Work' | Breitbart:
The U.S. has long had programs, private and public, to assist those unable to work. But it has never embraced the idea that the role of the government included guaranteeing economic security for those who are unwilling to work.
In fact, traditional American liberalism regarded full employment as its goal because of the importance of work to society and the individual.
Some people (including one of the Members) took issue with the following statement in my testimony:
“Based upon our current assessment of the science, the threat does not seem to be an existential one on the time scale of the 21st century, even in its most alarming incarnation.”
I referred to AR5 WGII:
“Every single catastrophic scenario considered by the IPCC AR5 (WGII, Table 12.4) has a rating of very unlikely or exceptionally unlikely and/or has low confidence. The only tipping point that the IPCC considers likely in the 21st century is disappearance of Arctic summer sea ice (which is fairly reversible, since sea ice freezes every winter).”
In hindsight, I should have hit this a bit harder. See my previous posts:
The IPCC AR5 refers to ‘reasons for concern.’ I won’t rehash my previous posts here, take a look.
Thinking that catastrophes like major hurricane landfalls, massive forest fires etc. will be ‘cured’ by eliminating fossil fuel emissions is laughable.
Well its not really funny.
Thinking that eliminating fossil fuel emissions will ‘solve’ the problem of extreme weather events is very sad, sort of on the level of doing rain dances.
Every thing that goes wrong, they blame on fossil fuel driven climate change.
Imagine how surprised they would be if we were ever to be successful at eliminating fossil fuel emissions, and then we still had bad weather!
Ocasio-Cortez calls to abolish ICE, says Latinos must be exempt from immigration laws because they are 'Native' to US | Fox News

"These are living, feeling, beautiful babies who will never get the chance to share their love and dreams with the world. And then, we had the case of the Governor of Virginia where he basically stated he would execute a baby after birth," the president said during his Tuesday speech.
Christopher’s article is rife with debatable opinions, but two paragraphs in particular stand out as particularly questionable:
College Newspaper Says 'White Boys' Should Not Be 'Allowed To Talk' | Daily Wire "Leda Fisher, a senior and self-identified "black girl" at Dickinson College, whines about "white boys" in her higher education years "incessantly" speaking about issues and sharing their opinions, in a piece titled, "Should White Boys Still Be Allowed to Talk?
The piece was published on Thursday at the student newspaper, The Dickinsonian.
School administration addressed the severe backlash to the openly racist piece on Friday in an email underscoring their position to uphold free speech and condemned prejudice.
"American society tells men, but especially white men, that their opinions have merit and that their voice is valuable, but after four years of listening to white boys in college, I am not so convinced," asserts Fisher in the piece..." Read all.
