Germany to close all 84 of its coal-fired power plants, will rely primarily on renewable energy - Los Angeles Times
"Germany, one of the world’s biggest consumers of coal, will shut down all 84 of its coal-fired power plants over the next 19 years to meet its international commitments in the fight against climate change, a government commission said Saturday.
...Coal plants account for 40% of Germany’s electricity, itself a reduction from recent years when coal dominated power production.
...“There won’t be any more coal-burning plants in Germany by 2038.”
The decision to quit coal follows an earlier bold energy policy move by the German government, which decided to shut down all of its nuclear power plants by 2022 in the wake of Japan’s Fukushima disaster in 2011..."

Birthright Citizenship and Dual Citizenship: Harbingers of Administrative Tyranny - Imprimis
Birthright Citizenship—the policy whereby the children of illegal aliens born within the geographical limits of the United States are entitled to American citizenship—is a great magnet for illegal immigration. Many believe that this policy is an explicit command of the Constitution, consistent with the British common law system. But this is simply not true.

The Ravenna board of education has hired the Michigan Association of School Boards to assist in finding a new leader for the district.

Rep. Collins Releases Lisa Page Interview Transcripts
Rep. Collins Releases Lisa Page Interview Transcripts:
Many details about Page's testimony have already been leaked -- such as her admission that, more than nine months after the FBI launched its "Crossfire Hurricane" counterintelligence operation to spy on the Trump campaign, the Bureau still had no case connecting Trump or his campaign to Russia’s election meddling.
Transcripts from the closed-door interview were also leaked to The Epoch Times in January.
One key finding from Page's testimony indicates that former CIA Director John Brennan was involved with the Steele dossier before the FBI was.

Having rejected religion for themselves,... - Patricia Anthone
"Having rejected religion for themselves, denounced it as practiced by others and now attempting to obliterate its influence on public policy positions, Leftists today are filling the resulting void by treating "Global Warming" as a religion.
Consider:
Adherents are expected to accept the doctrine of "anthropomorphic global warming; a result of carbon pollution emitted by human activity" as an unquestioned article of faith.
They must do so irrespective of the fossil record which offers irrefutable evidence of Earth's historic climate patterns and atmospheric gasses.
The doctrinal construct of this "religion" provides a framework for viewing the world and their place within it.
It is inarguably the most self-destructive worldview ever to gain wide subscription: "Humankind is a scourge upon the Earth and must be greatly diminished lest it sully its own life-support system."
Intrinsic to this doctrine is the "cause" to which an adherent's life may be dedicated.
Adherents must proselytize the religion for new converts and advocate universal observation of the religion's tenets.
In the minds of those subscribed to the Church of Global Warming, only those who are "woke" to the imminent calamity threatened by "global warming" are qualified to make public policy pronouncements."

Waging War Against the Dead – American Greatness
"The 21st century is in danger of becoming an era of statue smashing and historical erasure.
Not since the iconoclasts of the Byzantine Empire or the epidemic of statue destruction during the French Revolution has the world seen anything like the current war on the past.
In 2001, the primeval Taliban blew up two ancient Buddha statues in Afghanistan on grounds that their very existence was sacrilegious to Islam.
In 2015, ISIS militants entered a museum in Mosul, Iraq, and destroyed ancient, pre-Islamic statues and idols. Their mute crime? These artifacts predated the prophet Muhammad.
The West prides itself in the idea that liberal societies would never descend into such nihilism.
Think again.
In the last two years there has been a rash of statue toppling throughout the American South, aimed at wiping out memorialization of Confederate heroes.
There is also a renewed crusade to erase the memory of Italian explorer Christopher Columbus.
...There have been some unfortunate lessons from such vendettas against the images and names of the past.

- ...Third, in the past there usually has been a cowardly element to historical erasure. Destruction was often done at night by roving vandals, or was sanctioned by extremist groups who bullied objectors. So too in the present. Many Confederate statues were torn down or defaced at night. City councils voted to change names or remove icons after being bullied by small pressure groups and media hysteria..."

Dutch Orchestra Walks Out
"There may be hope left for Christianity?
When the most
liberal country in Europe pulls the plug on Islam, the world is beginning to
see the light.
Queen Beatrix of The Netherlands attended a concert in the capital, Amsterdam .
The Guest Conductor, who just happens to be Muslim, proceeded to give the Queen a lecture
on the "beauty" of Islam.
The entire orchestra got up and walked out, refusing to be associated with someone lecturing their Queen.
The staff of the music hall escorted the conductor off-stage, and after questioning, out of the building.
Now that took courage.
Good for the people of Holland .
Watch the walk out at the link below.
Bet you didn't see this on CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN or MSNBC.Would be nice if this got on Facebook and went viral....."

Something rotten in Chicago-----State’s Attorney Kim Foxx asked Chicago’s top cop to turn Jussie Smollett probe over to FBI, texts and emails show - Chicago Tribune
"After being approached by a politically connected lawyer, State’s Attorney Kimberly Foxx asked Chicago police Superintendent Eddie Johnson to turn over the investigation of Jussie Smollett’s reported attack to the FBI, according to communications provided to the Tribune.
Foxx reached out to Johnson after Tina Tchen, former chief of staff to first lady Michelle Obama, emailed Foxx saying the actor’s family had unspecified “concerns about the investigation.”
Tchen, a close friend of Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s wife, said she was acting on behalf of the “Empire” actor and his family.
A relative later exchanged texts with Foxx.
- ...“Spoke to the Superintendent Johnson,” Foxx emailed Tchen back on Feb. 1. “I convinced him to Reach out to FBI to ask that they take over the investigation.”
- “Spoke to the superintendent earlier, he made the ask,” Foxx wrote. “Trying to figure out logistics. I’ll keep you posted.”
- “Omg this would be a huge victory,” the relative replied.
- “I make no guarantees, but I’m trying,” Foxx wrote back..."
