"Back in July of last year, Talia Lavin was fired from her job as a fact-checker for the New Yorker after she misidentified a wounded Marine's elbow tattoo as a Nazi "Iron Cross," and convinced much of the left that the Immigrations and Customs Enforcement agency had hired an actual white supremacist to work on their abuse task force.
Saturday, she was at it again. 
The self-described "expert" on white supremacy, in an effort to defend Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), who flippantly referred to the September 11, 2001 terror attacks in a speech as "some people did something," Lavin asked whether we're supposed to believe that 9/11 is "sacred."

The tweet was a reaction to, of all people, Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), who referred to September 11 as "sacred ground," taking both Omar and President Donald Trump — who posted video of the attacks as a way of reminding Omar why 9/11 commands so much respect — to task.
Lavin, who now works as a reporter for Media Matters tracking "white nationalism," and will teach a course on journalism this summer at New York University, doubled down.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (KOVR) — Hotels in California may no longer be able to provide guests with tiny bottles of shampoo, conditioner, lotion, or other personal care products.
Assembly Bill 1162 passed the Natural Resources committee on Monday by a vote of 6-3 (two Assemblymembers did not vote.)
The bill would ban “lodging establishments”, including hotels, motels, resorts, bed and breakfasts, and vacation rentals, from offering small plastic bottles holding 12 ounces or under of product in rooms or public spaces.
Instead, the establishments could offer “bulk dispensers” that could be used by a number of people. The goal is to cut down on the amount of plastic containers thrown away by guests and operators..."

On June 17, 1972, five men were arrested for burglarizing the headquarters of the Democratic National Committee at the Watergate office complex in Washington, D. C. 
It was never alleged that President Richard M. Nixon knew about the burglary prior to the attempt, but that he tried to use the power of the presidency to obstruct justice in order to protect members of his administration and his reelection committee from facing criminal charges. 

The great irony is that Nixon was going to crush McGovern in the general election without any illegal help. 
Nothing that could have been stolen from the Democrats could have helped the Republican Party win any bigger in 1972 -- Nixon claimed 520 electoral votes and carried 49 states. 
The break-in was stupid and unnecessary.

And most importantly, it was illegal.

The absurdity is how, within an instant, we were all separated into groups that we had not recognized prior to this. 
Some were labeled as victims while others had a superior position just by being born.
From then on, relationships changed.
