Overflow Crowd Turns Out in Blue County to Support Second Amendment

Overflow Crowd Turns Out in Blue County to Support Second Amendment:
"An overflow crowd of gun-rights supporters turned out on Tuesday evening to the Democratic-controlled Fairfax County Board of Supervisors meeting to push the locality to declare it would not help enforce unconstitutional gun laws.
The crowd exceeded the auditorium's 350-person seating capacity, and a few dozen people wearing "Guns Save Lives" stickers were left lining the walls.
The vast majority came to support residents who requested that the northern Virginia county become a Second Amendment sanctuary, meaning it will refuse to enforce gun laws they consider unconstitutional.
After sitting quietly through two hours of discussion about baseball-field lighting, the crowd erupted at the end of each pro-gun speech during the public-comment period..."

Mike Pence: Mocking Barron Trump is 'New Low' for Impeachment:

Image result for flickr commons images Mike PenceVice President Mike Pence said the ongoing impeachment hearings sunk to a “new low” after Stanford law professor Pamela Karlan took a potshot at President Donald Trump’s youngest son, 13-year-old Barron Trump, while testifying before the House Judiciary Committee on Wednesday.
“The impeachment hearings today reached a new low,” Pence told reporters in Holland, Michigan, shortly after the incident. “I just heard at the hearing today, one of the Democrats’ witnesses actually used the President and first lady’s 13-year-old son to justify their partisan impeachment. Democrats should be ashamed.”

A December 7th Story

A December 7th Story
(First written-December 7, 2002)
Sixty-one years ago today a young man celebrated his eighteenth birthday.
Little did he know that date, his birthday, would become "A day of infamy"
.

Six months later when he had graduated high school, he enlisted in the US Army Air Corps and subsequently earned his wings as one of the youngest fighter pilots in the Army Air Corps.
In the next two years he progressed from Stearman biplane trainers to P-40 Warhawks and finally to the beautiful, twin engine P-38 Lightning fighter.
During that time he also found time to marry his high school sweetheart and, while serving in Italy escorting B-24 bombers, he learned that he was soon to be a father.
In Jan. 1944 he had completed his tour and was waiting in Triola, Italy to return to the States when a call came out for volunteers to fly escort for another bombing raid over France.
Fighters and pilots were scarce in those days.
Our bomber crews were getting hammered and our fighter pilots suffered the same fate.
He did not need to volunteer, but of course, like so many others, he cheerfully did his duty.
On January 27, 1944, over Salon de Provence, France their bomber group encountered "a superior number of enemy fighters."
From wingman 2nd Lt. R. E. Hoke: "Being greatly outnumbered by enemy fighters and unable to rejoin the Squadron, we took evasive action from the enemy fighters, by losing altitude.
We dropped from 24,000 feet to the deck.
By this maneuver we lost the enemy fighters but encountered heavy ground gun flak.
Suddenly I felt a terrific concussion.
After getting my airplane under control, I looked back and the Lieutenant had disappeared from the formation."
The young Lieutenant's P-38G just "disappeared" in the great explosion as German antiaircraft gunners found their mark.
His body was never recovered.
He was just 20 years old.
He never held his newborn daughter.
He was only one of the many tens of thousands of American heroes over the last two hundred or so years.
He was 2nd Lieutenant James G. Riley, Jr., USAAC, my Dad's older, and only, brother.
Sixty-one years ago today, Pearl Harbor Day, Jim turned eighteen.
His whole life was ahead of him yet he had barely two years to live.
Those years he gave to his country.
Thank God for all those brave men and women.
God protect our soldiers, sailors and airmen.
May we never forget.
Uncle Jim, we miss you and your fellow heroes.

The Democratic National Committee is criticizing Facebook for supposedly failing to nix misinformation campaigns targeting the party’s presidential candidates, CNN reported Tuesday.
DNC CEO Seema Nanda sent a Nov. 21 letter to the company suggesting a team the committee created after the 2016 election was better equipped to catch internet trolls than Facebook. She said in the letter that the DNC reported numerous troll campaigns to the company, according to CNN.

"Democrats are saying the Kamala Harris campaign was doomed due to the crushing forces of racism and sexism - but do Democrats really think members of their own party are racist and sexist?
Of course not.
Only you are racist and sexist, certainly not a Democrat.
Heaven forbid anyone even think such a thing.
Bless their little pea pickin' hearts.
Racism and sexism have become the universal reasons for just about any failure of a Democrat candidate or policy.

Too dramatic, I wondered?
Too dark?
In the end I went with it because I believe it to be true.

Turley: Under Democrats' 'Abuse of Power' Standard, Obama Could Have Been Impeached | Breitbart

Turley: Under Democrats' 'Abuse of Power' Standard, Obama Could Have Been Impeached | Breitbart:

Image result for wikicommons images obamaGeorge Washington University Law School professor Jonathan Turley testified at the House Judiciary Committee’s first impeachment inquiry hearing on Wednesday that under Democrats’ “abuse of power” standard, it was possible that every U.S. president — including Barack Obama — could be impeached.
Turley’s analysis matches that of liberal law professor Cass Sunstein, a former Obama administration official, who wrote in 2017 that abuse of power was, by itself, an insufficient grounds for impeaching a president because it was simply too broad: “Almost every American president has, on more than one occasion, passed the bounds of his power, in the sense that his administration has done something that it is not lawfully entitled to do.”

"...What prompted me to embark on a novel was the research I had recently been doing on the increasing failure of young males in academic settings.
I cite Kansas as an example here only because the Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE) does a good job of testing its students and making test results available.
Last year, in the best performing public high school in Kansas, 45 percent of the school’s tenth graders tested not proficient in the English Language Arts.
In the worst performing school, an incredible 97 percent of the tenth graders tested not proficient.
In the average suburban high school, inevitably considered “excellent” by town boosters, 60 to 80 percent of the students failed to reach the low bar of proficiency in language arts.
The KSDE does not break the scores out by gender, but if it did, the boys would be the ones pulling the numbers down.
They pull the language numbers down wherever tested..."

NYT sends the message out!-----New York Times writer says Democrats shouldn't pass USMCA because it would help Trump

Image result for Jamelle) BouieNew York Times writer says Democrats shouldn't pass USMCA because it would help Trump
"...In an opinion piece for the New York Times on Wednesday, (Jamelle) Bouie cautioned Democrats against voting in favor of the Trump administration's new trade deal with Mexico and Canada solely because it would be politically helpful for the president:
Bouie wrote, "Passing a bill only validates Trump’s oft-made claim that he’s an expert deal-maker, and as the presidential election nears, bolstering the president means you’re boosting his party."
...This comes, by the way, after most liberals in the media belittled the new trade deal, known as the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement(USMCA), as a slightly tweaked version of NAFTA...
From the Wall Street Journal:

  • The USMCA requires a greater portion of cars—75%, up from 62.5% under Nafta—be made in North America to qualify for tariff-free trade. ...
  • The new deal also requires that 40% to 45% of automotive content be made by workers earning at least $16 per hour, a new provision aimed at shifting production from Mexico back to the U.S. and Canada. U.S. officials say Mexican pledges in the deal to boost the power of its labor unions will have a similar effect.
  • The pact also weakens protections for multinationals investing in other countries, a change Trump officials say will discourage outsourcing. It sets de facto quotas on Mexican and Canadian auto exports to the U.S.
  • It requires the countries to conduct regular reviews of the USMCA, including a prospect for termination.
  • Unlike NAFTA, the USMCA would also penalize governments that manipulate their currency, according to the Wall Street Journal, as China has been known to do.

Image result for stop trumpAll of that would be a needed, positive change to trade with our neighboring countries.
Every working American would win.
But Democrats don't want to do that, because, as Bouie said, certifying the deal "only validates Trump’s oft-made claim that he’s an expert deal-maker."
And they just can't stand to give him the win, even if it's good for the country."

Instead of expressing dismay that a journalist's call logs were obtained by a congressional investigator, media types are piling on Solomon, calling into question his reporting, which was extensively sourced with primary documents from Ukraine and other sources.
On Nov. 18, Politico media reporter Michael Calderone wrote about how The Hill, which published Solomon's reporting on Ukraine, has opened an investigation into that reporting and vows to correct it, if necessary.

The increasing politicization of education curriculum - American Experiment

"Founder and former CEO Steven Wilson of Ascend Learning, a charter school network in Brooklyn, New York, discusses the emergence of anti-intellectualism in k-12 education on Choice Media’s The Learning Curve podcast co-hosted by Bob Bowdon. It is a thought-provoking segment, which you can listen to here (it begins around the 23:30 mark).
Wilson sees the politicization and radicalization of curriculum as a threat to our ability to pursue objective truth and as a way to suppress ideas.
...Below are excerpts from the podcast.
"...One document widely used in diversity workshops, including in the training of all New York City administrators and principals, identifies 13 “damaging characteristics of white supremacy culture.

  • One is “objectivity,” which is manifested as “the belief that there is such a thing as being objective” and “requiring people to think in a linear way.”
  • Anti-intellectualism often takes the position that there are only subjective perspectives.
  • Another is the “worship of the written word,” whereby “those with strong documentation and writing skills are more highly valued.” …

But how tragic it would be if any child was taught that a reverence for the written word was a white characteristic.
What would they make of Frederic Douglass’s Fourth of July speech, Martin Luther King’s Letter from a Birmingham Jail, or James Baldwin’s letter to his nephew, “My Dungeon Shook” in The Fire Next Time?”...

Huge reorganization plan of federal government-----Clarice Feldman - MM:...

Clarice Feldman - MM:...--Clarice Feldman
"Huge reorganization plan of federal government, which is why many bureaucrats are trying to undermine President Trump, if you ask me.
Includes:
  • Privatizing the Postal Service.
  • Merging the Education and Labor departments.
  • Reorganizing safety-net programs into a Department of Health and Public Welfare.
  • Creating a governmentwide public-private partnership office to improve services to citizens, and stewardship of public resources.
  • Relocating more staff and offices outside the National Capital Region.
  • Dramatically shrinking the Office of Personnel Management.
  • Revamping the Army Corps of Engineers."

George Zimmerman files $100 million lawsuit against Trayvon Martin’s family - New York Daily News
Justice for Trayvon"More than seven years after he fatally shot their unarmed teen son, George Zimmerman is coming after Trayvon Martin’s parents — for millions of dollars.
The neighborhood watch volunteer is suing Martin’s parents and others for $100 million in a proceeding filed Wednesday in Polk County, Fla.
Zimmerman was acquitted of a second-degree murder charge in 2013, but the suit contends the only reason he was charged in the first place was due to testimony from a “fake witness” — Rachel Jeantel, who at one point was identified as Eugenia Diamond, a nickname — but who the lawsuit alleges are in fact two people.
See the source imageBoth names are listed as defendants in the suit.
In addition, he is suing Trayvon’s parents — Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin — family attorney Benjamin Crump, Crump’s book publisher and prosecutors who tried his case for the killing of the 17-year-old in Sanford, Fla.
...Zimmerman’s suit claims the so-called fake witness had been coached to testify that she was Martin’s girlfriend and that they had been on the phone just before he was shot.
Neither of these things were the case, the lawsuit alleges..."
