More than 20,000 people marched on Richmond, Virginia, on Monday in a show of unity for Second Amendment rights. The state's Democratic lawmakers didn't seem to care, pushing a gun control bill forward only one day after the rally.
The Virginia Senate, now dominated by Democrats, moved SB240 forward by giving it preliminary approval Tuesday, according to WHSV-TV in Harrisburg.

Looks like New York's getting the crime uptick politicians have been asking for

"Robbery is up almost 30% in New York City since the first of the year.
...Which should not surprise: Not only does government usually get more of what it encourages, when it comes to crime, it also gets more of what it fails to discourage.
...Albany’s bail-reform initiative got off to an ominously comical start.
When the feds had to take custody of alleged serial bank-robber Gerod Woodberry because local judges had to keep turning him loose — well, what else was there to do but laugh?
But consider this: Robbery in the third degree became a revolving-door offense Jan. 1, and this was followed by a dramatic, 29% spike in reported robberies, according to the most recent — albeit very short-term — CompStat numbers..."

"50 Million people dead, 50 MILLION, in a global drought across three continents in 1870's - of course the New Scientist calls it a "freak" of nature...
now when we have all too real and all too inevitable natural disasters, they don't call them "freak", they claim plant food did it....
...plant food at an extra 100 Parts per million does not cause hurricanes or make them worse....
it does not cause BUSH FIRES, mainly people and an arid/semi arid area do... but who cares about facts?
Politicians love this, as they don't have to be blamed for greedy building without paying for needed clearing of extra fuel, and proper stewardship of the land we now live in."

This is classic and disgusting FAKE NEWS.
The headline "John James campaign accused of coordinating with ‘dark money’ group" simply parrots a totally unproven allegation from a left-wing, anti-John James, dark money-funded, political action committee.
Expecting most to read only the headline.
And "they" wonder why so many have contempt for the lyin'-media?
  • And this, hidden in the specious pile of steaming scumbaggery: "...Michigan Campaign Finance Network Executive Director Simon Schuster said the FEC is unlikely to find a violation of law..."

The complaint shows how candidates navigate laws meant to prevent coordination with political groups.

A famous expression goes like this: “Tis better to be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.” Were I explaining this expression to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, I’d need to dumb it down to “You’re an idiot. But people only think you’re an idiot. If you open your mouth and speak, you’ll just prove you’re an idiot. So just zip it and stay pretty.” Hold this axiom close as you watch AOC marvel at how there seemed so few police officers present at Monday’s pro-gun Virginia rally in comparison to more infamous riots.

In fiscal year 2019, the DEA and state agencies estimated they seized more than 1.4 million fentanyl pills in Arizona."

Four Bombshells Revealed in Peter Schweizer's 'Profiles in Corruption'
"...President Peter Schweizer’s latest investigative work, Profiles in Corruption: Abuse of Power by America’s Progressive Elite, contains a trove of egregious findings detailing the backgrounds and connections of a number of progressive leaders, including presidential hopefuls Joe Biden (D) and Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), both of whom have yet to address the reports.
...“Everything we do can be replicated,” Schweizer said during a Tuesday appearance on SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Daily
“We follow the money. We follow the paper trail. So there’s no anonymous sources, and what we simply show you is who’s getting money, when, how, and in what context are they getting that money.”

FORT COLLINS, Colo. -- A small-business owner in Fort Collins says he may be forced to close his candy shop because of a potential tax of $40,000.
The Fort Collins Candy Store Emporium is a walk through history.
The location on Jefferson Street looks and feels like the 1940s.
Some of its candy brands date back to the 1800s.“I don’t really sell candy,” said store owner Tony Vallejos. “I sell memories.”
The candy is just part of Vallejos’ vision. Vintage toys -- including an original Mr. Potato Head -- have been a decorative force of success.
The toys are not for sale.
“It took me 20 years to gather up all these antiques,” Vallejos said.
...Vallejos says his antiques are worth a total of $400,000.
Under state law, the Larimer County Assessor must tax the assets at 10 percent per year— that’s $40,000..."
