F1 allocates 30-second window to anti-racism protest at British Grand Prix:
F1's anti-racism messaging ahead of the last race, the Hungarian Grand Prix, appeared rushed and disorganised.
F1 has responded to that criticism by opening the pit-lane 40 minutes before the start of the race, instead of 30 minutes...
The drivers have also been issued some guidance on what they might want to do in the 30-second window...

- Taking the knee
- Standing on carpet with arms crossed in front of behind them
- Standing on carpet and bow head
- Standing on carpet and pointing to the words 'end racism' on their t-shirts
- Standing on carpet and place their hand on the heart
- Anything else a driver may feel comfortable to do

Judge orders police to stop videotaping Portland protesters following ACLU lawsuit - TheBlaze
Judge orders police to stop videotaping Portland protesters following ACLU lawsuit - TheBlaze:

According to the Oregonian, Portland police have produced dozens of livestreams in recent weeks in apparent attempt to show the public what it is that police are confronting on a nightly basis. But the ACLU contends the livestreams subject Americans who are simply practicing their First Amendment rights to unlawful surveillance.
With the new order, Multnomah County Circuit Court Presiding Judge Stephen Bushong agreed with the civil rights agency, at least for now. The order blocks police from "collecting or maintaining audio or video of protesters demonstrating public spaces, except where the video or audio relates to an investigation of criminal activities."

"Nearly Half Of Young Americans Say It’s Okay To Fire People Who Support Trump
The Cato Institute just released a new report showing that 62 percent of Americans are inclined to self-censor what they say politically “because others might find them offensive.”
Even moderate leftists report they feel increased fear of offending the offendable, while only the most “staunch liberals,” as Cato described them, feel free to speak their minds.
The “very conservative” have been pushed deepest in the closet: they are most likely to refrain from saying what they think politically, at nearly twice the rate of the “very liberal.”
Buried deeper in the report, however, is a stunning data point that might be one of the most troubling current cultural indicators.
Forty-four percent of Americans younger than age 30 believe a company is correct in firing an executive because he or she personally donated to President Trump’s reelection campaign.
The companion finding was also disturbing.
Twenty-seven percent of people under 30 said they were fine with an executive being fired because he or she donated to the Joe Biden campaign...Read all.

- Social Justice Terrorists Now Threatening to Spam Businesses With Bad Reviews Unless They Agree to Racist Blackmail Demands
We need a new one.
Businesses and non-profits in the East Market District of downtown Louisville, also referred to as NuLu (New Louisville), have received letters from left-wing activists demanding that they give in to a list of racial reparations or face having their businesses get negative reviews online. The activists "sent out a three-page contract to NuLu businesses following Friday's protest where LMPD says 76 protesters were arrested and charged with obstructing a highway and disorderly conduct," WAVE 3 News reported."Some also picked up assault charges, accused of throwing bottles at police officers."
WDRB News reported that the "demands came with a deadline of Aug. 17, or else protesters would respond by launching negative reviews and social media posts about the businesses."Local residents that reached out to The Daily Wire were stunned that the story was not receiving more attention in the local media and did not want to be identified because they feared "mob retaliation." One person said that they felt that this was "criminal extortion."

Andy Surabian: Democrat Mayors like LA’s Eric Garcetti Have Failed Where Trump Has Succeeded
Andy Surabian: Democrat Mayors like LA’s Eric Garcetti Have Failed Where Trump Has Succeeded:
If big city Democrats cared about stopping the coronavirus as much as they cared about blasting President Donald Trump, the businesses in their cities would be opened safely and their communities would be thriving. However, leftwing mayors like Eric Garcetti in Los Angeles have unleashed pandemic hell on their populations through their own incompetence —all while scapegoating President Trump for the problems they themselves caused.
Just as Bill de Blasio made all the wrong decisions as the coronavirus ravaged New York City, Garcetti, with nearly every move he has made, has turned the nation’s second largest metropolis into our latest deadly hotspot. Los Angeles County’s death total is nearing 4,000, well over half of California’s total. New shutdown orders are further devastating businesses and workers who often live paycheck to paycheck.

The Truth About Policing and Race Is Too Hot for YouTube | Power Line
"Earlier today, Center of the American Experiment hosted a live-streamed presentation by Heather Mac Donald titled “The Truth About Crime, Race and Policing.” Heather’s talk, which lasted for around 40 minutes, was fact-filled.
It delivered a knockout punch to the Black Lives Matter “systemic police racism” narrative, which can’t stand up to empirical analysis.
Thousands of people watched the livestream on an event page, on YouTube and on Facebook.
We intend that a vastly greater number–hundreds of thousands–watch the archived video on YouTube, Facebook and other platforms.

But within an hour after the program ended, YouTube deleted the video on the pretense that it violated YouTube’s “Community Guidelines.”
We got this email from YouTube:

I appealed YouTube’s banning of the video with this message:
This is obviously a mistake. The speaker is Heather Mac Donald, one of America’s top authorities on crime and policing. She is the author of a bestselling book on the subject, has testified before the House Judiciary Committee on the topic of her speech, and was described by a former Attorney General of the U.S. as “the greatest thinker on criminal justice in America today.” Her talk was data-rich and totally beyond criticism based on YouTube’s “Community Guidelines.” Please reverse this erroneous decision immediately.
Wasn’t it just a day or two ago that there was a Congressional hearing on political bias on the part of Big Tech?
Apparently Google hasn’t learned its lesson.
It obviously intends to suppress any factual critique of the Marxist Black Lives Matter narrative.
We have already begun to notify our friends in Washington of this outrage.

We have re-uploaded the video to YouTube, where you can watch it here, at least for the time being.
We are also uploading the video to Facebook–it is a huge file–and I will add that link when it is ready. [Update: Here it is: https://www.facebook.com/AmericanExperiment/videos/1471714743012938/ ]

"CH: Cook County (Chicago) has changed traffic court so that hearings will be held online, via Zoom.
Trouble is, they forgot to tell the people summoned to court that.
So they're showing up to wait in line at the physical court -- only to be told later that all hearings are done online, and (no, really, this happened) you also missed your online hearing while you were waiting on actual, physical line at the physical courthouse.
A TV reporter went to talk to someone from the office handling notifications about court hearings, to know why notices that hearings are no longer physical but will be held online are being sent out after the date of the hearing, instead of before, as would be the more common process.
The answer?
It's racist white privilege for you to ask a black woman why she's sending out notices days after the hearing the notices are intended to notify about....Read all.

Horror in Portland: Rioters Light Pig Head and American Flag on Fire Near Downtown
"Despite demonstrably false reporting from the leftist media, congressional Democrats, and late-night comedy hosts on HBO, Portland, Oregon has remained the scene of terror and destruction for more than two months.
On Thursday, activists took aim at the city Justice Center creating a horrific display involving a severed pig head wearing a policeman's hat, sitting on an American flag.
The deceased animal's head and flag were both lit on fire.
Andy Ngo of the Post Millennial reported from the Justice Center.
"The display of violence meant to strike fear in the hearts of law enforcement officers in Portland was certainly not part of any peaceful protest. Police found an abandoned pet pig not far from that area in the earlier days of riots..."Read all.

U-M Prof On Sabbatical With $148k Salary Complains About Paying For Home Internet – Michigan Capitol Confidential
"At a time when Michigan’s unemployment rate is 14.8%, two University of Michigan professors took to social media to discuss the impact of COVID-19 on their work lives.
“Just realized that I am being asked to work at home as much as possible until the end of the year and so now I pick up all of the physical cost of my job (electricity, upgrading internet) with no raise or subsidy from the University. Those with child care duties-no compensation,” Pam Davis-Kean, a professor of psychology at U-M, tweeted July 29.
Kean was paid $133,882 in 2016-17 by U-M and saw her salary increase to $148,021 in 2019-20.
Her U-M profile states, “Dr. Davis-Kean is not accepting students for the 2020-2021 year due to sabbatical. Please consider applying for 2021-2022.”
Betsey Stevenson, a professor of economics at U-M’s Gerald Ford School of Public Policy, replied to Kean’s tweet and mentioned a “real wage cut.”

During an appearance on Wednesday’s “Hannity” on Fox News Channel, Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) spoke out against Big Tech, describing Google as “the most dangerous election interference organization in the world.”
However, he acknowledged lawmakers on Capitol Hill would be reluctant to take on Big Tech given they were “bought off” by those companies.
