The Biden Energy Plan Is A Joke — Manhattan Contrarian

The Biden Energy Plan Is A Joke — Manhattan Contrarian
"In any rational world, a candidate proposing the energy plan that Joe Biden has proposed for the United States would be laughed out of the race for President on that ground alone.
The word “unserious” does not remotely begin to describe the situation.
In essence Biden says he will cause a complete transformation of the U.S. energy economy within 30 years — or maybe it’s 15 — with
  • no idea what technology might be able to accomplish that,
  • how much it might cost, or
  • how much poorer the effort might make the American people.
We have moved from the real world into the realm of fantasy and gaslighting.
And yet, at least as of today, Biden continues to lead in most polls.
The Biden campaign calls his proposals the “Plan for a Clean Energy Revolution and Climate Justice.”
A few excerpts:
...As president, Biden will lead the world to address the climate emergency and lead through the power of example, by
  • ensuring the U.S. achieves a 100% clean energy economy and net-zero emissions no later than 2050. . . .
  • He will not only recommit the United States to the Paris Agreement on climate change – he will go much further than that.
  • He will lead an effort to get every major country to ramp up the ambition of their domestic climate targets...
Read through the whole thing, and you will find next-to-no specifics as to how such goals might be accomplished.
However, if you do get deep enough into the document, you will begin to realize that the promises made depend totally on fantasies about the development of technologies that don’t currently exist and in all likelihood never will exist, at least in any economically viable form...Read all.

"The DNC's propagandists are actually attempting to blame "white supremacists" for the summer of riots that have been so destructive to city-center neighborhoods in jurisdictions "governed" by the Left.

  • White supremacists are to blame?
  • In a way, they are right.
The mostly white, suburban and largely female college students/ grads that comprise BLM's rioter-ranks believe themselves more qualified than the residents of those communities to decide how they should be run.
Of course, the residents of city-center neighborhoods dealing with rampant crime want to get criminals, gang-bangers and sexual predators off the streets.
BLM's mostly white SJW's from the suburbs demand defunded police and the elimination of cash bail. They know best.
They've studied "critical race theory" in college.
What better definition of "white supremacy"?

California, Which Entered U.S. as Free State in 1850, to Study 'Reparations' for Slavery

The State of California will study reparations to black Americans, thanks to a bill signed into law Wednesday by Gov. Gavin Newsom.
AB 3121 will create a nine-member “Task Force to Study and Develop Reparation Proposals for African Americans, with a Special Consideration for African Americans Who are Descendants of Persons Enslaved in the United States,” according to the text of the bill.
California was admitted to the Union in 1850 as a free state and has no history of legal slavery.

fSAs you’ve probably already heard, the President and his wife tested positive for COVID-19.
On Twitter, having a blue check mark next to your name means that you are a recognized influencer on the platform. Normally the blue check marked people have thousands of followers with many of them having literally hundreds of thousands of followers. So, when they put out a tweet it goes far and wide.
Here are only a handful of the blue check marked influencers publicly hoping the president dies.

The Absurdity of Covid "Cases" | Mises Wire

The Absurdity of Covid "Cases" | Mises Wire
"As always, the story keeps changing: Today's headlines announced Donald and Melania Trump "tested positive" for covid-19. Another claims nineteen thousand Amazon workers "got" covid-19 on the job. Both of these pseudostories are sure to ignite another absurd media frenzy.
  • Remember ventilators, flatten the curve, the next two weeks are crucial, etc.?
  • Remember Nancy Pelosi in Chinatown back in February, urging everyone to visit?
  • Remember Fauci dismissing masks as useless?
Why should we believe anything the political/media complex tells us now? So what do these headlines really mean? What exactly is a covid "case"?
Since the beginning of the coronavirus outbreak, most US media outlets have been exceedingly credulous and
complicit in their reporting. Journalists almost uniformly promote what we can call the "prolockdown" narrative, which is to wildly exaggerate the risks from covid-19 to serve a political agenda. They may be motivated to hurt Trump politically, to promote a more socialist "new normal," or simply to drive more clicks and views. Bad news sells. But the bias is clear and undeniable.
This explains why media outlets use the terms "case" and "infection" so loosely, to the point of actively misinforming the public. All of the endless talk about testing, testing, testing served to obscure two important facts.
  • First, the tests themselves are almost laughably unreliable in producing both false positives and negatives. And what is the point? Are we going to test people again and again, every time they go out to the grocery or bump into a neighbor?
  • Second, detecting virus particles or droplets in a human's respiratory tract tells us very little. It certainly does not tell us they are sick, or transmitting sickness to anyone.
Take a perfectly healthy person with no particular symptoms and swab the inside of their nose. If the culture shows the presence of staphylococcus aureus, do we insist they have a staph infection? When someone drives to work without incident or accident, do we create statistics about their exposure to traffic?
A virus is not a disease. Only a very small percentage of those exposed to the virus itself--SARS-CoV-2--show any kind of acute respiratory symptoms, or what we can call "coronavirus disease."...Read all! Excellent comments at link.

Facebook bans ads that mention voter fraud or in any way stoke distrust in the upcoming election - TheBlaze

Facebook bans ads that mention voter fraud or in any way stoke distrust in the upcoming election - TheBlaze

Facebook announced strict new guidelines Wednesday prohibiting advertisements on the platform that in any way seek to "delegitimize" an election by stoking distrust in various voting methods, including mail-in voting.
What are the details?
"Last week we said we'd prohibit ads that make premature declarations of victory. We also won't allow ads with content that seeks to delegitimize the outcome of an election," Facebook's director of product management, Rob Leathern, said in a tweet.
He added that the new policy will ban ads that call "a method of voting inherently fraudulent" or use "corrupt isolated incidents of voter fraud to delegitimize the result of an election."

Sometimes, it's best to wait a few days to look back-----The downfall of Fox News's Chris Wallace and John Roberts - American Thinker

The downfall of Fox News's Chris Wallace and John Roberts - American Thinker
"...Wallace also rewrote history, saying both that Biden did answer the question about court-packing (he did not) and that it was Trump who started interrupting (he did not).
Another shameful moment on Wallace's part was his asking Trump to disavow any support for white supremacists.  In fact, Trump has repeatedly done so, including in an interview with Wallace four years ago:
Trump immediately answered "sure" to the question about disavowing white supremacy, but he also pointed out that Biden ought to be asked to disavow Antifa.  Wallace refused to ask Biden that question, relieving Biden of the burden of offending his hard-left base.  Fox News's John Roberts apparently didn't watch the debate, or didn't understand it, or hasn't paid attention to the last few years of Trump's repeated statements disavowing white supremacy.  That's why, during Wednesday's press conference with Kayleigh McEnany, Roberts stupidly asked her whether Trump condemns white supremacy:
Kayleigh, if I could start off, I'd like to ask you for a definitive and declarative statement, without ambiguity or deflection. As the person who speaks for the president, does the president denounce white supremacism, and groups that espouse it in all their forms?
McEnany graciously gave him a straight answer:
This has been answered yesterday by the president himself. The day before by the president himself on the debate stage. The president was asked this, he said "sure" three times. Yesterday, he was point-blank asked, "Do you denounce white supremacy?" and he said, "I've always denounced any form of that."
McEnany then offered other examples of Trump explicitly denouncing white supremacy, only to have Roberts repeat the question as if Trump had never disavowed the ideology.  Irked, McEnany saved her real riposte against Roberts for after the debate, when she put out a tweet:

LANSING, Mich. — The Michigan Supreme Court on Friday struck down months of orders by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer that were aimed at preventing the spread of the coronavirus, saying she illegally drew authority from a 1945 law that doesn’t apply.
The court said the law was an “unlawful delegation of legislative power to the executive branch in violation of the Michigan Constitution.”

"There are (at least) two ways they could have presented this statistic, so you can guess why they chose the first as the headline:
1) Amazon reveals over 19,000 workers got COVID-19
2) Amazon reveals that less than 2% of over a million employees got COVID-19

Or how about this considering 10 of these 19,000+ died :
3.) Amazon reveals that less than .001% of over a million employees got COVID-19 and died.
