Race for Space: China's Quest for World Domination Reaches New Heights - UncoverDC
"China has been violating human rights, stealing intellectual property, and using technology developed by the United States and other nations for years.
And while compared to the U.S., China’s space industry is still in its early stages, the Department of Homeland Security maintains that China is now striving to get ahead by stealing military space technology to advance its international dominance.
  • Senator Joe Biden asserted in the 1990s and early 2000s that embracing China into the global trading system would compel Beijing to play by international rules.
  • In 2000, Biden voted to extend permanent normal trade relations (PNTR) to China, arguing that the move would benefit American workers
  • He contended that an annual review of China’s trade status was an empty threat that no longer served a purpose.
  • Biden went so far as to declare that China’s leaders, after being forced to acknowledge the failure of communism, had consciously undertaken a fundamental transformation of the communist...
...Steve Ricchetti, a current advisor to Biden, helped organize the PNTR effort 20 years ago as deputy chief of staff to President Bill Clinton.
The bill passed 83-15 and secured China’s entry into the World Trade Organization, and solidified the communist regime’s global economic ties...Read all!

Five Unknown Facts About Washington’s Crossing The Delaware On Christmas Day

Five Unknown Facts About Washington’s Crossing The Delaware On Christmas Day

5 Fast Facts You Might Not Have Known About George Washington Crossing the Delaware:

...4. Washington Considered Canceling the Attack

The weather that night grew ever worse as time moved on, with one soldier recording that “it blew a perfect hurricane” as snow and sleet lashed Washington’s army.

George Washington’s men were suffering from poor morale before the crossing of the Delaware. They were tired, hungry, and hardly clothed for the elements.

By the time Washington and his troops got to the other side of the river, they were a full three hours behind schedule. It was another 10 mile march to Trenton.

The Mount Vernon site writes:

With every delay Washington’s fears that his army would be caught in the open magnified. What to do? Contemplating his choices Washington was seen brooding on a crate near a fire. Washington later wrote, when remembering this fateful moment, “…As I was certain there was no making a retreat without being discovered and harassed on repassing the River, I determined to push on at all Events.”...Read all!

Today is Christmas Eve and, despite the strangeness that 2020 has brought to virtually every aspect of our daily lives, thanks to the Coronavirus Pandemic, hundreds of millions of people around the Earth will celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ tonight.

"Another event cancellation driven by state governors acting like “petty tyrants” reminds us of the people who allowed us to live free of major tyrants.
On the Pennsylvania side of the Delaware River, the Washington Crossing Historic Park says that due in part to crowd-size restrictions, the beloved annual tradition of re-enacting Washington’s courageous Christmas crossing into New Jersey won’t happen in front of the usual cheering crowds this year. The park notes:
However, to keep the tradition alive, we will debut a special pre-recorded crossing video on Christmas Day at 10 AM. You can tune in this video on the park’s Facebook page or on YouTube.
Looking on the bright side, Jennifer Martin, executive director of Friends of Washington Crossing Park, tells NJ.com: “We see this as a positive, that the daring crossing and the history is something we can share with people from all over the world.”
Sounds good given the unreasonable limits on liberty imposed by governors on both sides of the river.
But what would Washington think?
NJ.com’s Kevin Shea reports:
Gen. George Washington would have made his daring 1776 crossing of the Delaware River during a pandemic.
In fact, he likely did.
Smallpox was rampant during the colonial era and deadly disease was just another obstacle to overcome when Washington planned the Christmas night crossing from Pennsylvania to New Jersey on his way to defeat the Hessians in the first Battle of Trenton the next morning...Read all!

Donald Trump Excoriates Congress for COVID Relief Bill - Louder With Crowder

Donald Trump Excoriates Congress for COVID Relief Bill - Louder With Crowder

In March, government told you to shutdown for 15 days to flatten the curve. In December, here we all are, pining for a life of basic normalcy. Congress's answer to your sacrifice was to throw you a $600 check and call it "relief." Never have I see so much unity between Democrats and Republicans than when we came together to ask a collective "WTF?" In agreement, President Donald Trump. Not only did The Donald scoff at the 600 smackers, he went so far as to highlight what other piles of garbage the bill contains. You'll get angry watching this, but that's the point.

"Undesirable"? How 'bout suicidal! DAVIDSON: Economic Cancer Delivered In A Sugar Cube

DAVIDSON: Economic Cancer Delivered In A Sugar Cube
Having legions of citizens dependent on the federal government is undesirable.
  • “The lessons of history, confirmed by the evidence immediately before me, show conclusively that continued dependence upon relief induces a spiritual disintegration fundamentally destructive to the national fiber.
  • To dole our relief in this way is to administer a narcotic, a subtle destroyer of the human spirit.
  • It is inimical to the dictates of a sound policy. It is in violation of the traditions of America. Work must be found for able-bodied but destitute workers.”
  • “The Federal Government must and shall quit this business of relief.”
The quotes above by U.S. President Franklin Roosevelt, in his 1935 State of the Union Address, is astounding on many levels.
Roosevelt realized less than three years into his presidency that having legions of citizens dependent on the federal government, long-term, would not benefit anyone.
Yet, he could not put the brakes on the train he had sent running down the track.
Another four years passed when Roosevelt’s close friend, lunch companion, confidant, and U.S. Secretary of the Treasury, Henry Morgenthau, Jr., stated:
“We have tried spending money.
We are spending more than we have ever spent before and it does not work.
And I have just one interest, and if I am wrong, somebody else can have my job.
I want to see this country prosperous.
I want to see people get a job. I want to see people get enough to eat.
We have never made good on our promises, I say after eight years of this administration — we have just as much unemployment as when we started.
And an enormous debt to boot!”
This is a stunning admission, by the top U.S. financial officer coming nearly a decade following the stock market crash of 1929, which reverberates to this day...Read all.

New Jersey Gym Owners Make It Official, Vow to Recall Gov. Murphy - Louder With Crowder

Merry Christmas, New Jersey! This makes up for the abortion that is Jon Bon Jovi's cover of "Fairytale of New York." Ian Smith is the owner of Atilis Gym. Over the course of 2020, he's been in a feud with NJ Gov. Phil Murphy. Smith wants to keep his business open and provide for his family. Murphy says no, because of the pandemic. The governor keeps finding new and expensive ways to prevent Smith from staying open. So Smith, inspired by California, filed to have Murphy recalled.

Rush Limbaugh's Moving Sign Off Today (Video)
"Rush Limbaugh signed off his radio show Wednesday afternoon with a moving thank you to his listeners, capping an emotion-filled show that featured Rush reminiscing about his radio career and family as well as the news of the day.
Rush even spoke about he feels a bit like a failure because he has not persuaded more people away from liberalism.
But the heart of the show was Rush’s gratitude at surviving the year after being diagnosed with terminal lung cancer.
Rush said at one point today he finally understood what New York Yankees legend Lou Gehrig meant when he said, “I consider myself the luckiest man on the face of the earth” after he was diagnosed with a fatal illness in 1939 that cut short his baseball career.
...While Rush did not say this was his last show, many listeners had the feeling it might be.
A listener posted a video clip of Rush closing the the show which had Silent Night performed by Rush favorite Mannheim Steamroller softly playing in the background...Read all.

In fairness to the nation's lawmakers, they were only granted a handful of hours to review the more than 5,000-page document before they were expected to vote for its passage. It's doubtful that anyone outside congressional leadership read it, but nevertheless it received overwhelming support from both Republicans and Democrats in both chambers.

Now that the legislation has been approved, details about what exactly is in it have started to trickle out — and, needless to say, it's not pretty.

Professors face firing for criticizing funding of ‘social justice’ activities at public college

Professors face firing for criticizing funding of ‘social justice’ activities at public college
An ongoing investigation at California’s Bakersfield College could result in the firing of two history professors who are active in a faculty organization that promotes freedom of thought.
Matthew Garrett and Erin Miller are accused of making defamatory statements about two other professors related to the funding of “social justice” initiatives.
...Hine’s report claims the duo (above) accused Oliver Rosales and Andrew Bond of improperly using grant monies at the Social Justice Institute, a “non-partisan” college organization co-founded by President Sonya Christian and Bakersfield Mayor Harvey Hall.
But their lawyer told The College Fix that Garrett and Miller were simply stating their disagreement with how the funds were being allocated.
Even “the investigation concluded that much of what Professor Garrett was saying was protected speech under the First Amendment,” Arthur Willner said. (Miller gave a 12-minute introduction to Garrett’s lecture.)
Exactly what the professors said is not in dispute because video of the event is public.
...“If you view the video, you can see that at no time did Dr. Garrett accuse anybody of such a thing,” Willner said in a phone interview.
“His concern was that funds were being … allocated in connection with a particular political agenda, which he felt, in his opinion, was inappropriate.”...Read all.
