Dr. Seuss Cancels Six Titles Claimed to be Problematic - Louder With Crowder
Dr. Seuss Cancels Six Titles Claimed to be Problematic - Louder With Crowder: Once they came for Mr. Potato Head and the Muppets, I guess it was open season. I'm also shocked to find out I've been exposed to such problematic racist propaganda since around 1978 or so. March 2 is "Read Across America Day" to coincide with the birthday of famous children's author Dr. Seuss. But this is America in 2021. Celebrate anything anywhere and there are people to complain about it. In Dr. Seuss' case, some of his books written decades ago are said to have "racist and insensitive imagery."

We Are Witnessing A Last Minute Mass Exodus Before The Final Collapse Of Our Major Cities | ZeroHedge
"Americans fled the big cities “in droves” in 2020, and one recent survey discovered that even more Americans are planning to move in 2021.
The corporate media is attempting to frame this mass exodus as a temporary phenomenon, but there is nothing temporary about it.
Millions upon millions of people can see that our society is literally melting down all around us, and they want to get somewhere safe while they still can.
In recent weeks, I have written articles about the specific problems that we are witnessing in Chicago and San Francisco, but the truth is that virtually all of our major cities are coming apart at the seams, and this is motivating more people than ever to seek greener pastures.
With so many Americans looking to move, this has pushed up home prices in desirable suburban and rural areas to insane heights.
...Sadly, when things get really bad in this nation, no part of the country will be fully immune.
We will all feel the pain, and the suffering will be off the charts.
But if you do feel motivated to relocate, I would do it as soon as possible, because later this year global events will start accelerating at a very rapid pace...Read all.

Michigan Gov. Whitmer paid top health official massive sum in secret deal after his abrupt resignation: report - TheBlaze:
Whitmer's administration had been using Gordon to issue its pandemic-related emergency orders because the Michigan Supreme Court ruled last October that Whitmer had violated the Michigan state constitution by continuing to issue highly restrictive COVID orders without approval from state lawmakers.
What was the reaction to the deal?
Republicans are using news of the secret deal to draw more attention to Whitmer's handling of the pandemic.
Rep. Steve Johnson (R), chairman of the Michigan House Oversight Committee, told Fox News:

- Texas city says it doesn't have authority to prevent migrants who test positive from traveling elsewhere.
"More than 100 illegal immigrants released by the Border Patrol into Texas since late January have tested positive for the coronavirus following their arrival, officials in a city on the U.S.-Mexico border tell Fox News.
Felipe Romero, a spokesperson for Brownsville, said Wednesday that the 108 positives represent 6.3% of the number of total migrants who have been rapid-tested at the city’s main bus station, where they are being released by the Border Patrol...Read all.

When we allow the other side to the set the terms of discussion, and police ourselves to conform to them, the battle is already lost.
WASHINGTON, DC - FEBRUARY 25: Rachel Levine, nominee for Assistant Secretary in the Department of Health and Human Services, testifies at his confirmation hearing before the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee February 25, 2021 on Capitol Hill in Washington D.C. Levine previously served as Secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Health. (Photo by Tom Brenner-Pool/Getty Images)
"Richard Levine was born in 1957 in Wakefield, Massachusetts, an affluent suburb 20 minutes north of Boston. He went to Hebrew school and had a bar mitzvah...
While still in school, he married classmate Martha Peaslee; the couple would go on to have two children, one boy and one girl.
...To understand how the situation has developed at such a breakneck pace, we have to realize how rapidly and readily social conservatives have ceded ground to the progressive left.
...Even conservative writers, when addressing what was once a controversial subject, tend only to employ the preferred pronouns and new chosen names of the individuals in question.
It would be practically unthinkable for any respectable journalist to use “he” or “him” when referring to Dr. Levine, to say nothing of the gendered birth name Richard.
This proscription results in bizarre constructions like “She has two children from his marriage to Martha,” and this from the Washington Post, which defies parody even as it stabs at something like humor: “The staid office where Rachel Levine works as the Keystone State’s top doctor is lined with family photos, including one perched high on a shelf that was taken on a vacation long ago, when her children were young and she was a broad-shouldered man named Richard.”
Words matter, and not just because it’s nearly impossible to win a fight in which every rule is set by your opponent...Read all.

US academics back in 2016 called for a ban on term 'breastfeeding,' called it 'ethically problematic' for promoting 'gender roles' - TheBlaze:
Academic researchers back in 2016 insisted that people ought to avoid using the term "breastfeeding," as it is "ethically problematic" — because it promotes and enforces "gender roles," according to a recently resurfaced study.
In February, U.K. hospitals came under fire for using the term "chestfeeding" instead of "breastfeeding" in order to be more inclusive for transgender people.

Is It Time to Put Wind Energy on Ice? | RealClearEnergy
"...“(Wind turbine) performance is impacted by major breakdowns that deprive power generation until the turbine is repaired.
...Major breakdowns can be expected in the first eight years of operation in about 80 percent of offshore machines and 20 percent of their onshore counterparts, the report says.
However, more significant is performance decline through age-related wear that reduces within 16 years of operation the output of offshore turbines to 50 percent of their peak performance and that of onshore machines to 63 percent.
Quoting Dr. Hughes, the report says, “(W)hen capital costs, economic life and the cost of capital are combined, the overall capital element of the cost of wind generation per (megawatt) of capacity rose substantially during the decade from 2000 to 2010 for both onshore and offshore wind...Read all.

THE DIGITAL GULAG: WHY TEAM TYRANNY WON’T NEED DOOR-KICKERS TO ENFORCE THE COMING GUN BANS
"There is currently a lot of attention being paid to new Democrat-proposed gun control laws, particularly House Bill 127, which would require national registration and licensing of all firearms, would ban broad categories of semi-automatic weapons, ban most ammunition magazines, and so on.
One of the most frequent replies to these proposed laws is that there are not enough local or federal SWAT Team door-kickers to go house to house on gun confiscation raids, and if they tried, they would 1. soon run out of door-kickers and 2. instigate Civil War Two.
But in the modern digital era, I believe that Team Tyranny won’t have to do much door-to-door gun confiscation.
I think that a few show-piece gun confiscation raids using overwhelming force at 4AM (that are designed for network TV audiences) will be sufficient.
Instead, they’ll just send citizens a notice by text, email and registered snail-mail that they already know what newly-illegal guns they possess.
...All of this information will be knitted together much the way that the IRS does business...Read all!

During times of our greatest need, inadequate natural gas supplies, frozen wind turbines and snow-covered solar panels, left too many shivering in the dark.

Report: Gov. Whitmer Bought Ex-Health Director's Silence with Tax Money
"...The next week, Whitmer struggled to answer questions about the former influential bureaucrat who played a pivotal role in the state’s coronavirus lockdown strategy and placing virus-infected patients in nursing homes with elderly, otherwise healthy residents.
The governor was asked for “specifics” and whether she asked for Gordon’s resignation, NBC 25 reported.
...“I don’t think I have anything to add with regard to my comments about, you know, the former director. I shared with you that I wish him well. I’m grateful for his leadership and we’ve got a wonderful new director at the department,” Whitmer responded.
When a third reporter apologized for asking about Gordon again, Whitmer scoffed.
“Did you ask for Director Gordon’s resignation and was this expected at all?”
“I’ve answered that question. I think the only thing I would say is, you know, it’s been a grueling couple of years and changes in administrations happen,” she said.
“I wish Robert Gordon the very best. I truly do and I am incredibly grateful for the hard work and the way that he showed up every single day over these last two years,” Whitmer said...Read all.

Commentary: More and more Americans are realizing that Dr. Fauci is not their friend - TheBlaze:
Increasing skepticism and even anger about the long-standing COVID-19 advisory role of Dr. Anthony Fauci have filled social media in recent days. Sure, some of us have been pointing out the need to rid the White House and the nation of his presence for nearly a year now, but it turns out Fauci's latest calls for double masking and remaining locked down even after getting vaccinated have pushed a new segment of Americans over the edge.
And to that I say, "Amen."
