Breckenridge plans to require new events to incorporate sustainability, social equity and philanthropy | SummitDaily.com
"Breckenridge (CO.)...is also planning to update its existing event ordinances and rules to require sustainability, social equity and philanthropic components.
...Mamula said going forward, any new event needs to have a “defined give-back provision,” like a portion of the admission ticket sales benefiting a local nonprofit.
Council member Erin Gigliello added that she would like to see sustainability and social equity components included in future events, as well.
She noted that sustainability is already included as a standard for the issuance of an event permit, but social equity is not.
Gigliello said she would like to ask the town’s Social Equity Advisory Commission how this element could be incorporated into the standards, but she said it could be incorporated into the event itself or in the values of the business promoting the event...Read all.

GM CEO Mary Barra blasted as racist in ad by Black-owned media leaders
"Leaders of several major Black-owned media companies including Byron Allen and Ice Cube are accusing General Motors CEO Mary Barra of being racist for what they described as her refusal to meet with them.
...'No one happy with GM'
The Black-owned media group wants GM to allocate at least 5% of its ad budget to Black-owned media companies, said Allen in an interview with the Free Press on Sunday.
The ad says "less than 0.5% goes to media companies owned" by African Americans, calling that "horrendous, considering that we as African Americans make up approximately 14% of the population in America and we spend billions buying your vehicles."...Read all.

Montana A.G.: We're Worried Migrants Will Be Relocated to our State and We Won't Be Able to Keep Them from Being Released

On Friday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends First,” Montana Attorney General Austin Knudsen (R) said he’s worried about the prospect of migrants being transferred from the southern border to northern states and said that his state cannot place and process migrants “and make sure they’re not just released into the interior.”

CBP said in a statement, “CBP continually evaluates possible contingency plans and adjusts its operations as circumstances dictate, but currently there are no plans to transfer migrants from the Southwest border to the Northern or Coastal borders.”

Imagine if they'd helped our President. And our country.

THEY'RE HERE: Biden Regime Is Developing 'Vaccine Passport' Americans Must Have To Engage In Commerce - National File
"...“vaccine passport” that Americans may need to present to prove they have received their COVID-19 vaccine before they will be allowed to engage in commerce in a “return to normalcy” that looks nothing like the past.
...They note that many businesses, “from cruise lines to sports teams,” will require individuals to take the COVID-19 vaccine before they are offered business.
...According to those developing the vaccine passports, they must be entirely unique, and not able to be hacked or tampered with, lest Americans engage in commerce without taking one of the controversial vaccines...Read all.

'Stephen Colbert doesn't understand gun laws at all': Steven Crowder - TheBlaze

On Wednesday's episode of "Louder with Crowder," Steven Crowder responded to Colbert's "ignorance of gun laws" that was on display when Colbert made an analogy meant as a slight directed at Sen. Kennedy. "Okay, I'll take that deal," Colbert said. "Let's regulate guns the way we regulate alcohol and cars." Crowder responded, noting that it seemed "interesting you [Colbert] would take that deal because that deal already exists."

Baltimore Ends Prosecution of Low-Level Crimes Such As Prostitution
"Baltimore will no longer prosecute certain low-level crimes, which include prostitution, drug possession, and minor traffic offenses, State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby said Friday.
“The move was unveiled in a press release from Mosby’s office as it reported ‘one-year success’ of policies implemented last March to not prosecute the nonviolent charges amid the coronavirus pandemic,” the Hill reported.
According to the release, the policies enacted in 2020 “have resulted in a decrease in arrests, no adverse impact on the crime rate, and address the systemic inequity of mass incarceration,” thus the state’s attorney announced the “permanent adoption” of the policies...Read all.

Conservatives need to attack the tech monopolies aggressively - American Thinker

Conservatives need to attack the tech monopolies aggressively - American Thinker
"Conservatives need to acknowledge a paradigm shift has occurred:
Big Tech companies are not “free market capitalists,” but are, in fact, agents of American socialism.
When Michelle Obama tweets out that Twitter and Facebook should deplatform the sitting President of the United States, and they follow that directive within a day or so, we need to realize there is a new power structure in place.
Keep in mind that Hitler rose to power with the support of German industrialists.
He never needed to have his government pass a decree ordering the Final Solution; his followers knew what was expected....
...According to Wikipedia, Google has purchased 241 companies since its inception, most recently Fitbit. Twitter has purchased 65 companies and Facebook 89.
Engines of innovation?
Hardly.
They need these purchases to close off potential competitors before they become a threat and to have new processes to exploit.
As far as pinnacles of capitalistic success, imagine this: American socialism is the castle, and Big Tech and the big banks are the moats defending that castle.
The peasants need to be kept out.
Big Tech oligarchs exist because the Government protects them and they, in turn, protect the Government...Read all.

How Did the Boulder Gunman Obtain His Firearm? by Beth Baumann

How Did the Boulder Gunman Obtain His Firearm? by Beth Baumann
"Anytime a mass shooting takes place, Democrats and members of the mainstream media make assumptions about why the gunman carried out the attack and how gun control proposals could have prevented the tragedy.
The same thing happened following last week's attack in Boulder, Colorado.
...One of the biggest claims is that "universal background checks" or "enhanced background checks" could have prevented the gunman from obtaining his firearm.
This is flat-out false.
Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa purchased his Ruger AR-556 pistol six days before he carried out the attack at the Kings Soopers store in Boulder.
...He went to a "gun dealer," filled out a 4473 form – the form that's used to process a background check through the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) – underwent a background check, he passed, and the sale proceeded.
...The third problem: the gunman was on the FBI's watch list before the shooting.
...Universal background checks sound great on paper, especially to those who are ignorant about firearm policies and legislation, but they do very little to curb "gun violence."
The Boulder shooting is the latest example of where those gun control measures – which proponents guarantee would prevent mass carnage – have failed.
AWR Hawkins from Breitbart listed the other attacks where other gunmen legally obtained through firearms (through background checks conducted at FFLs):
  • Atlanta-area attacker (March 16, 2021)
  • Parkland high school attacker (February 14, 2018)
  • Texas church attacker (November 5, 2017)
  • Las Vegas attacker (October 1, 2017)
  • Alexandria attacker (June 14, 2017))
  • Orlando attacker (June 12, 2016)
  • UCLA gunman (June 1, 2016))
  • San Bernardino attackers (December 2, 2015)
  • Colorado Springs attacker (October 31, 2015)
  • Umpqua Community College attacker (October 1, 2015)
  • Alison Parker’s attacker (August 26, 2015)
  • Lafayette movie theater attacker (July 23, 2015)
  • Chattanooga attacker (July 16, 2015)
  • Alleged Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal attacker (Jun 17, 2015)
  • Muhammad Carton Contest attackers (May 3, 2014)
  • Las Vegas cop killers (June 9, 2015)
  • Santa Barbara attacker (May 23, 2014)
  • Fort Hood attacker (April 2, 2014)

Biden used 'cheat sheet' during first press conference; Fox News host Chris Wallace knocks president for 'reading talking points' - TheBlaze

After 65 days in office to prepare for his first press conference, President Joe Biden relied heavily on notes for certain questions from the media. The 78-year-old Democratic president also had a cheat sheet with photos of White House reporters, which he seemingly used to determine which reporters he would call on during Thursday's news conference. The cheat sheet in question had the faces and names of White House reporters, as well as what news outlets they represented. The guide was organized to show where the reporters were sitting during the press conference.

Biden Administration Urges Supreme Court To Let Cops Enter Homes And Seize Guns Without A Warrant
"The U.S. Supreme Court on Wednesday will hear oral argument in Caniglia v. Strom, a case that could have sweeping consequences for policing, due process, and mental health, with the Biden Administration and attorneys general from nine states urging the High Court to uphold warrantless gun confiscation.
But what would ultimately become a major Fourth Amendment case began with an elderly couple’s spat over a coffee mug...(worth reading in full!)
...Critically, when police seized the guns, they didn’t claim it was an emergency or to prevent imminent danger.
Instead, the officers argued their actions were a form of “community caretaking,” a narrow exception to the Fourth Amendment’s warrant requirement.
First created by the Supreme Court nearly 50 years ago, the community caretaking exception was designed for cases involving impounded cars and highway safety, on the grounds that police are often called to car accidents to remove nuisances like inoperable vehicles on public roads.
....Nevertheless, the court decided to extend that doctrine to cover private homes, ruling that the officers “did not exceed the proper province of their community caretaking responsibilities.”
Siding with law enforcement, the First Circuit noted that a police officer “must act as a master of all emergencies...
In their opening brief for the Supreme Court, attorneys for Caniglia warned that “extending the community caretaking exception to homes would be anathema to the Fourth Amendment” because it “would grant police a blank check to intrude upon the home.”...Read all.
