Judge orders Biden administration to respond to lawsuit against CDC's new eviction ban by Friday - TheBlaze
The White House has defended the new moratorium, which appears to be in direct violation of the law and the Supreme Court's opinion, as a "new, targeted eviction moratorium — focused on counties with High or Substantial (coronavirus) case rates."
The new eviction moratorium is set to expire on Oct. 3 and is estimated to apply to 82% of U.S. counties and more than 90% of the population.
Facing questions from reporters on the legality of the CDC's new order, White House press secretary Jen Psaki said Wednesday that the Biden administration doesn't believe most Americans care whether the order is legal or not.
Election Observers Alarmed Over Newsom Recall: All California Voters Can Download Ballots in the 'Comfort of Their Own Home'
"...California Secretary of State Shirley Weber as a way for voters to download ballots in the “comfort of their own home.”
“For the November 3, 2020 General Election, any voter can request to use Remote Accessible Vote by Mail,” the Secretary of State’s website states...
51% of likely voters in California’s upcoming gubernatorial recall election today would vote Yes to recall incumbent California Governor Gavin Newsom, according to SurveyUSA’s latest exclusive polling for KABC-TV in Los Angeles and KGTV 10News and The San Diego Tribune.
40% would vote No, to keep Newsom in office.
RedState’s Jennifer Oliver O’Connell notes that’s a “pretty huge leap” from an earlier Emerson College Poll.
Republicans support recall by an 8:1 margin; Democrats oppose by a smaller 3:1 margin. Independents support recalling the Governor by 5:3.

Is there ANYTHING these morons don't hate?-----University of Wisconsin-Madison removes massive rock from campus after 'racism' claims | Fox News
"The University of Wisconsin removed a controversial boulder from its Madison campus Friday after the Black Student Union and other activists objected to its description nearly 100 years ago with a racial slur.
Chamberlin Rock, which rests atop Observatory Hill, is named after a 19th Century geologist and former university president, Thomas Crowder Chamberlin, whose work centered on glacial deposits, according to a bio on the university’s website.
But it was a reporter’s reference to the rock in a nearly century-old Wisconsin State Journal article that prompted the push for its removal.

Crews work to remove Chamberlin Rock from Observatory Hill on UW-Madison campus in Madison, Wis., Friday, Aug. 6, 2021. The University of Wisconsin is removing the 70-ton boulder from its Madison campus at the request of minority students who view the rock as a symbol of racism. Chamberlin Rock, on the top of Observatory Hill, is named after Thomas Crowder Chamberlin, a geologist and former university president. (Kayla Wolf/Wisconsin State Journal via AP)
