"...Europe (and the UK in particular) is undergoing an energy crisis – industries are shutting down due to the high cost of power/natural gas, and citizens’ utility bills are going through the roof.
...Yet the organizers of COP26 barred from participation any hydrocarbon companies (though some snuck in to see what would unfold), as noted in Euronews: “COP26 has made it a policy to exclude polluters from the summit.”
So…providers of fuel are polluters, and not welcome.
Hollywood celebrities on private jets are deemed not polluters, and hailed as heroes.
Furthermore, the EU has gone one stupid step further: both private planes and yachts are exempt from the latest EU Carbon Pricing plan...Read all.

If your Amazon or UPS package is long overdue for delivery, it may be among thousands looted from broken-into train cars in LA and discarded by the tracks - TheBlaze

A photojournalist with KCBS-TV said he'd been hearing a good bit about train burglaries in Los Angeles, so he went down to the tracks to have a look for himself.

"There’s looted packages as far as the eye can see," John Schreiber reported in a Thursday tweet, which was followed by others that included videos and images of the carnage. "Amazon packages, @UPS boxes, unused COVID tests, fishing lures, epi pens. Cargo containers left busted open on trains."

The Ongoing Horror of Cuban Socialism | International Liberty

The Ongoing Horror of Cuban Socialism | International Liberty
"Back in 2014, I compared the long-run economic performance of Cuba and Hong Kong.
Both jurisdictions were roughly equal about 60 years ago.
But the data show a dramatic performance gap ever since the communists took power in Cuba, with Hong Kong (which was very pro-market back then) enjoying much bigger increases in prosperity.
Sadly, not much has changed in Cuba since I wrote that column.
The communist dictatorship is still there, and the economy is still socialist (notwithstanding even Castro admitting its failure).
And this means ongoing misery for ordinary people.
Here are some excerpts from a story published by Agence France-Presse.
Cubans are no strangers to queuing for everything from bread to toothpaste, often standing for hours under a blazing sun with no access to a toilet or drinking water, and always with the fear of leaving empty-handed.
It is a daily ordeal Cubans have endured for about 60 years of communist rule…Read all.

Cotton argued that the Democrats’ agenda is “massively unpopular,” and they know it, which is why “they want to take over our elections.”

Biden's COVID Testing Fail - American Thinker
"Depending on how it’s prepared, asparagus provides -- at a minimum -- iron, vitamins C, and B-6, potassium, fiber, and a trace of magnesium and calcium as well. But asparagus can be tricky to prepare, and it can be expensive.
So, what is a health-conscious family to do?
Well, let’s say the government decided to step in.
A president might say, on some random Monday, “I hereby declare that, effective this coming Saturday, every American person -- male, female, and gender-bewildered -- is entitled to eight free servings of asparagus every month.”
But… how to accomplish it?
We have over 330 million people in America (tens of millions more if you count illegal aliens and voter registrations); that’s a heck of a job.
The government certainly doesn’t have the facilities to provide such a service.
No problem, says the president, we will just mandate that restaurants, cafeterias, and fast-food places take care of providing it.
  • The government gets the credit for making some good thing easily available to everyone,
  • without bearing any of the obligation either to handle the logistics of the plan or to pay for it.
Sounds like a win-win for the shortsighted statist, doesn’t it?...Read all!
