Jill Biden book sales embarrassingly low - TheBlaze

Jill Biden book sales embarrassingly low - TheBlaze

Based on book sales, readers are apparently not interested in paying $26 to "better understand" the personality of Jill Biden. Twitter reactions to the disappointing book sales had many commentators asking how the first lady to the most popular president in U.S. history could have such pathetic sales numbers. President Joe Biden set a new record with 81,284,000 votes in the 2020 election. Columnist Tim Young pointed out, "81 million votes, but Jill Biden's new biography only sold 250 total copies in 1 week."

Michigan Schools DEI Director Wants Affinity Spaces With No White People Allowed
"...The director of diversity, equity and inclusion at Holt Public Schools recently circulated an internal memo mentioning his desire to set up private spaces within a school for minority students, with white people not allowed.
This, Matt Morales said, was “equity work in creating a more inclusive learning community.”
Morales said he wrote the post to explain his efforts to set up affinity spaces, or areas where people who share certain characteristics can meet.
His memo stated that an affinity space for Black people had already been created..."

Republicans vow to fight Biden's Disinformation Governance Board - TheBlaze

The Department of Homeland Security announced that it had created a new government entity to tackle online disinformation – especially on key topics of elections, COVID-19, the war in Ukraine, and the immigration crisis at the U.S. southern border.

However, Republicans fear that the new board will attempt to stifle free speech. Several GOP politicians immediately railed against President Joe Biden's Disinformation Governance Board, some have vowed to dismantle the entity.

Leftist loons go nuts over free speech! Embarassingly so!

World to run out of food in 27 years and 248 Days! - American Thinker

World to run out of food in 27 years and 248 Days! - American Thinker
"According to a report in the U.K. tabloid the Daily Star, some scientists are now predicting that the world will run out of food in 27 years.
Twenty-seven years and 251 days, to be more precise...as of Sunday, April 24, 2022. (Start your doomsday countdown at home!)
So that's it — the science is settled, apparently.
We are done by 2050.
..."Sociobiologist" Edward Wilson (known professionally as E.O. Wilson) is quoted in the report saying, "There are limits to Earth's capacity to feed humanity. Even if everyone on the planet agreed to become vegetarian, the world's farmland could not support the need. The world population will be too big to feed itself..."

Serf or Slave? The Tax Man Cometh - Intellectual Takeout

Serf or Slave? The Tax Man Cometh - Intellectual Takeout  link
  • On April 13th I sent a whopping check to the federal government and a lesser one to the government of Virginia. The total of these two checks equaled about 25 percent of my income.
  • Throw in sales tax on food and goods, the tax on gasoline and heating fuel, the property tax I pay through my rent to my landlord, sundry other taxes, and the money I now pay annually for a business license—yep, you read that right, a guy sitting at the dining room table tapping a keyboard is a business—and I’m guessing I pay 35-40 percent of my money to local, state, and federal government.
  • Throw in the hidden tax of inflation, which has risen now to staggering levels, and I’m probably waving goodbye to 50 percent of my earnings.
  • That’s interesting, because as several online commentators point out, a medieval serf paid his lord between 25 percent and 33 percent in labor or in crops. Most of us, particularly those in the dwindling middle class, shell out more than did those European peasants to their masters through the many hidden taxes that Americans pay...

From 2013. It's worse today!

"This is getting seriously out of hand.
On top of the $14 billion already appropriated for Ukraine assistance, Joe Biden is now asking for a supplemental budget allocation of an additional $33 billion for Ukraine.
Good grief, that’s almost $50 billion in aid, plus the billions in distributed weapons.
Biden is asking for U.S. taxpayers to fund the budget, salaries and pension obligations of the Ukraine government..."

Proposal to memorialize Anthony Huber, man killed by Kyle Rittenhouse, tabled after meeting chaos
  • A public meeting in Kenosha, Wis., descended into chaos Monday night as one resident accused the parks commission of quietly trying to approve a proposal to memorialize one of the two men killed by Kyle Rittenhouse in 2020.
"The commission ultimately tabled the proposal after multiple residents showed opposing the placement of a memorial tree and plaque commemorating Anthony Huber at Anderson Park.
Huber was captured on video chasing Rittenhouse and attempting to hit him with a skateboard before Rittenhouse fatally shot him
in the chest during protests on Aug. 25, 2020..."

Texas Man Offers Elon Musk 100 Acres of Land to Move Twitter HQ Out of San Francisco

An Austin-area man is offering Tesla CEO Elon Musk 100 acres of free land to move Twitter’s headquarters from  San Francisco to Texas. The offer comes after Musk’s successful bid to buy Twitter for $44 billion. Texas Gov. Greg Abbott tweeted that he would declare the area a “free speech zone” and added “maybe we can rename it Twitter, Texas.”

"The Open Markets Institute believes the deal poses a number of immediate and direct threats to American democracy and free speech," the organization declared in a statement. Barry Lynn, director of the OMI, claimed that Musk's acquisition violates several laws, most of which are more than 100 years old. But Lynn's chief complaint is that Musk's purchase of Twitter while he owns Starlink, a satellite-powered broadband internet service, violates antitrust laws.

Biden's DHS Confirms Plans to Siphon Healthcare Services Away from Veterans to Illegal Aliens at Border link
  • President Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has seemingly confirmed plans to siphon healthcare services away from American veterans treated at Veterans Affairs (VA) to illegal aliens arriving at the United States-Mexico border.
"During a hearing before the House Homeland Security Committee on Wednesday, DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas confirmed to Rep. Ashley Hinson (R-IA) that the Biden administration is in talks with VA officials to potentially transfer doctors and nurses to the southern border to treat illegal aliens arriving every day in record-breaking numbers.
...Already, Americans are forced to subsidize medical care for illegal aliens to the tune of $18.5 billion annually.
Last year alone, Americans footed the bill for more than $316 million in medical care for border crossers and illegal aliens who were detained in Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) custody..."
