Record homicides, homelessness and property crime paint bleak picture of Portland in 2022
PORTLAND, Ore.....The city set a new homicide record for the second year in a row, with more than 90 recorded killings so far.
The city is considering a proposal to put controversial gunshot detection technology in the five most violent Portland neighborhoods, according to Oregon Public Broadcasting.
Total violent crime increased marginally in 2022, but property crime rose 16% between January and October compared to the same period last year.
Thefts, vandalism and frightening encounters with people experiencing mental health crises have prompted many businesses to leave the city...
The city of Buffalo, New York, has filed a "first of its kind" lawsuit targeting firearms manufacturers, blaming the industry for rising gun violence despite New York's strict gun control regime.
Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown on Tuesday announced the wide-ranging lawsuit would be filed against "manufacturers, distributors, and other local gun shops." Major manufacturers, including Beretta, Smith & Wesson, Bushmaster, Glock and Remington, are named as defendants in the suit, as well as ghost gun retailers Polymer 80 and Arm or Ally.
Vaccine injured must be attended to, say cardiologists
Cardiologists Dr. Peter McCullough and Dr. Aseem Malhotra say the mRNA COVID-19 vaccines have done more harm to the public than good...
Cardiologists say there appears to be cumulative harm from the mRNA shots, especially to the heart.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) V-Safe data, 25 percent of people who took the mRNA vaccine were incapacitated the next day, and 8 percent were hospitalized or went to the emergency room.
“This is the most toxic vaccine by the CDC data that we’ve ever seen in clinical medicine,” McCullough said during a recent dual interview with Malhotra for EpochTV’s “American Thought Leaders” program...
"Germany is desperately fighting for every kilowatt-hour of energy…blames consumers for supply shortfalls!
Here’s a winning political strategy the German government is using: Just blame the voters for the problems you’ve created. If their mastermind green plans don’t work, it’s the citizens’ fault!
Germany energy site Blackout News here reports that this seems to be precisely the strategy German officials are using. “Now it’s the consumer’s fault if gas isn’t enough.”...
The massive $1.7 trillion omnibus bill that was made public by federal lawmakers Tuesday includes a $750,000 earmark for a Los Angeles-based transgender Latina group that wants to "dismantle" the U.S. criminal justice system and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and inject "transgender history and discourse" into elementary schools, among other progressive initiatives.
The release of the bill, which spans 4,155 pages, came after negotiations between Senate Republicans and House and Senate Democrats. The sprawling package, which contains $858 billion in defense spending and $772.5 billion in non-defense discretionary spending, has to pass by the end of the week to avoid a partial government shutdown.
The law firm Hogan Lovells recently fired a partner lawyer with 44 years of experience, Robin Keller, simply because she dared at a company meeting to express some rational reasons why Roe v Wade should have been overturned.
As Keller wrote, “I was invited to participate in what was billed as a ‘safe space’ for women at the firm to discuss the decision. It might have been a safe space for some, but it wasn’t safe for me.”
She recounts how “Three weeks later I received a letter stating that the firm had concluded that my reference to comments labeling black abortion rates genocide was a violation of the antiharassment policy.”
Apparently, “a participant complained that she could not breathe and others called her a racist.” These crybabies then demanded she be fired, and the company quickly acquiesced...

Never in our history have the cartels generated more revenue than they do now. And it all starts by using illegal immigration to overwhelm Border Patrol resources. And while President Biden’s policies have already allowed the cartels to overwhelm resources, the chaos is about to get much, much worse.
(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- ...be advised that cold weather decreases your driving range almost by half. “When it dips to 20 degrees and the HVAC system is being used to heat the inside of the vehicle, the average driving range is decreased by 41 percent,” Hart says. That means instead of getting 100 miles of combined urban and highway driving, the range at 20 degrees would be reduced to 59 miles."
"...There is one overarching and inescapable conclusion drawn from its pages: Johnson was a grotesquely corrupt person willing to say and do anything to accumulate power and enrich himself.
Elected to Congress in his late twenties, Johnson was known for handing out literal bags of cash to politicians in pursuit of the legislative goals of his powerful commercial sponsors...
Johnson proudly made a mockery of his dishonesty, openly referring to himself as “Landslide Lyndon” as he continued his ascension up the US political power ladder.
When Johnson entered Congress, he was dirt poor and obsessed with money...and yet managed to retire with a fortune that would be valued well in excess of $100 million today...
What separates Johnson’s story from other tales of political venality is the vast impact of his legacy.

EXCLUSIVE: New excerpts from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) training videos reveal the challenges faced by border officials due to the Biden administration's relaxed "no processing" immigration policy, which resulted in the government losing track of at least 150,000 illegal migrants in the summer of 2021.
The videos, first obtained by Fox News Digital, show border officials discussing logistical issues they are dealing with after hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants were released into the interior of the country without thorough processing. The training videos span from November 2021 to February 2022 and are included as part of discovery in an ongoing lawsuit by Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody against the Department of Homeland Security and other border agencies.
