Lying, just like humans!-----Confusion about Confabulations

Confusion about Confabulations - Kip Hansen
"...But this intern, Teva D. Brender MD, fantasizes about having an AI ChatBot write some of her reports and discharge instructions and other paper work that increases the length of her work day. In her piece she makes the following statement about AI ChatBots:
“Finally, these programs are not sentient, they simply use massive amounts of text to predict one word after another, and their outputs may mix truth with patently false statements called hallucinations.”
She gives a cite for that statement, a February 2023 NY Times article written by Kevin Roose titled: “A Conversation With Bing’s Chatbot Left Me Deeply Unsettled”.
In that article, Roose said: “[advanced A.I. chatbots] are prone to what A.I. researchers call
‘hallucination,’ making up facts that have no tether to reality.”
Roose is not the only one to notice and worry about this: Google search “AI ChatBot hallucinations“...

Texas university walks back 'premature' decision to shut down DEI offices prohibited under state law - TheBlaze

A Texas university walked back its earlier announcement that it would shut down its diversity, equity, and inclusion offices to comply with Republican Governor Greg Abbott's new law, the Daily Caller News Foundation reported. In May, Abbott signed into law Senate Bill 17, which bans public, state-funded universities from having DEI offices that push differential or preferential treatment of individuals based on race, color, or ethnicity.

"It is being claimed that maintaining the state pension so that it keeps pace with rising prices is no longer possible; that Britain has not the money to pay for it.
In other words, providing a barely adequate income for those who have spent their lives paying National Insurance contributions is a frivolous luxury which we can ill afford.

Rutgers University to disenroll students who don't comply with COVID vaccine mandate - TheBlaze

However, Rutgers has gone back and forth on its COVID policies over the past two years. The Brownstone Institute reported that on March 25, 2021, Rutgers became the first university in the country to announce it would require students to get the COVID vaccine ahead of the fall 2021 school year. But this policy was instituted only after the school retracted a prior statement earlier that year, which said, "With our stance of human liberties and our history of protecting that, the vaccine is not mandatory."

Hawaii Utility Pursued Green Energy Goals While Fire Mitigation Projects Were Delayed | The Daily Wire - By Tim Pearce
"Hawaiian Electric is under scrutiny for allegedly slow-walking modernization and repairs of its electrical grid before the fire that ripped through the island of Maui last week.
Hawaiian Electric is Hawaii’s principle electric utility, providing power to roughly 95% of the state. Financial disclosures and reports show the company worried about the state of its electrical grid, and specifically the risk of wildfires, but devoted resources to building out the utility’s green energy network with limited action to mitigate fire risk, according to The Wall Street Journal...

"Water Requires Conversations Around Equity" - Meet the Radical, Obama-Loving Official Who Delayed Life-Saving Water to Maui for SEVERAL HOURS While the Fires Were Contained (VIDEO) | The Gateway Pundit | by Cullen Linebarger

Transcript:

The commission is responsible…to protect and manage all water resources in the state. One water is … looking at it from a holistic system perspective, and that’s not any different than how Hawaiians traditionally manage water.

You know, in essence we treated — Native Hawaiians treated water as one of the earthly manifestations of a God… and so that reverence for a resource and that reciprocity in relationship was something that was really, really important to our worldview and well-being, right, living in an island and isolated from other civilizations.

...Like, we can share it, but it requires true conversations about equity.

No wonder the Hawaii state government is trying to cover up their actions before and after the fires. Blood is all over their hands.

The Chicago PD and Cook County AG refuse to prosecute.
So will a grant change anything?
Why doesn’t the state just drive semi loads of groceries in and give it away?

anti-white statement by Ilhan Omar should have ENDED career - TheBlaze

Ilhan Omar loves to point the finger at white men.

This isn’t the first time she’s said something overtly racist, although we’re certain she wouldn’t call her statements racist, since racism allegedly doesn’t exist if it’s pointed at white people.
