GROUNDBREAKING:

Instapundit-GROUNDBREAKING:

"Glamour’s ‘Women of the Year’ Are All Women.

What happened: A women’s fashion magazine, Glamour, honored its “Women of the Year” award winners at a swanky gala in London last week.

  • All of the winners were actually women.
  • The magazine’s “Women of the Year” honorees included female actress Millie Bobby Brown, female actress America Ferrera, female singer Leigh-Anne Pinnock, female actress Ariana DeBose...

Why it matters: It’s a courageous (and potentially problematic) departure from contemporary social trends. In recent years, most “women of the year” lists were considered—by the people who care about such things—to be insufficiently “inclusive” if no transgender individuals were represented.

Flashback: Bourgeois is the new transgressive. -

Detroit Police on Samantha Woll Murder: 'Nothing To See Here, Folks. Move Along. - Grateful Calvin
"Detroit synagogue president Samantha Woll was murdered in front of her home over the weekend. Woll was very active in social justice issues, but most specifically worked very hard on improving Jewish-Muslim relations.
From the moment it became public, the media has been downplaying her murder, using phrases in their headlines like 'found dead,' as opposed to, say, 'stabbed to death.'
A suspect has not been arrested in the crime yet, but that didn't seem to stop the Detroit Police from reaching certain conclusions in their investigation.
Excuse us, but how do you make such a statement when you haven't even made an arrest?...

Recognize the bullies!

Guess Where Hamas Is Launching Rockets From Into Israel - Spencer Brown
"New documentation released by the Israel Defense Forces shows more of the barbarism practiced by Hamas terrorists inside the Gaza Strip
In addition to targeting civilian targets indiscriminately across Israel with their rockets, Hamas has continued to launch their attacks from locations intended to endanger civilians in Gaza, including United Nations buildings, mosques, and schools.

Horowitz: DeSantis is right: The overwhelming majority of Gaza Arabs have toxic beliefs - TheBlaze

How is it “tolerant” to import so many people who hate Jews that now Jewish students are afraid to show up for class?

In many respects, mass migration from the Middle East is the point of no return in the destruction of Western civilization. Unchecked political correctness now threatens our whole system of values and our very survival. It’s not like we didn’t have years of fair warning.

Stop Being Shocked—Once and for All

Stop Being Shocked—Once and for All
  • The ideas, institutions, and people that caused the collapse
"None of the horrors you are witnessing this week—
  • not the massacre of Jews,
  • not the betrayal by public figures and popular activist movements,
  • not the moral insanity of our universities and cultural spaces
happened by accident.
For the past decade, an elite consensus began to emerge.
It was marketed as a worldview of optimism, of progress and justice brought about by the dawning of correct morality.
It favored using the power of digital monopolies and elite institutions to reeducate Americans in new and better ways of thinking, writing, speaking, and being...

The Greta Pivot | The Pipeline

The Greta Pivot | The Pipeline - Tom Finnerty
"We've been saying it for years now -- Greta Thunberg, serial truant child activist, is getting desperate...
Consequently, Thunberg has been trying to pivot, transforming her image from the poster child for eco-anxiety to a full spectrum Leftist activist.
Speaking in London last year, Thunberg stated that her ultimate goal is overthrowing "the whole capitalist system," which she claimed is responsible for "imperialism, oppression, genocide [and] racist, oppressive extractionism."..

Will Greta's rebranding work? It's doubtful. She's aged out of her niche, and now she's attempting to fill a role that is already occupied by scores of activists.

Deadline Detroit | After Deadline Detroit's bad cops investigation, city started hiding most officer discipline

Deadline Detroit | After Deadline Detroit's bad cops investigation, city started hiding most officer discipline - Violet Ikonomova
"In early May, a week after we published a lengthy investigation on the Detroit Police Department's struggle to hold bad cops to account, Chief James White touted his department for its transparency, noting it provided the thousands of pages of disciplinary records that underpinned our review.
  • Behind the scenes, however, the city was working to shield such records from the public.
  • That same month, under the direction of a new top lawyer, Conrad Mallett, it implemented a policy that prevents the release of officer disciplinary records older than four years.
Such records helped us uncover the department's habit of letting problem officers off the hook for misconduct.
  • Documents more than four years old told us, for example, that an officer who initiated a bad chase that killed two kids and wounded three more in 2015 had been involved in another deadly chase that violated policy just six months prior.
  • The department, the records showed, did not intervene significantly either time — neither with suspension, nor with retraining...
