The treaty turned over portions of land to the U.S., including Texas, New Mexico, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, California and parts of Colorado and Wyoming. The U.S. gave Mexico $15,000,000 and assumed responsibility of all claims against Mexico by American citizens. Texas had already entered the U.S. on December 29, 1845.
- 1848 - The first shipload of Chinese emigrants arrived in San Francisco, CA.

That would include the replacement of any employees "who do not meet qualification standards."

Structural racism affects all aspects of health in the United States; better understanding the role of structural racism in disparities in end-of-life care for children with cancer will not only improve care for children with cancer but can also shed light on how structural racism shapes care in other areas.
- In the meantime, let’s freeze the funding for studies that purport to advance medicine but are more akin to political opinion writing.
