The European Commission Faces Its Biggest Scandal in 20 Years

It has now come to light that the EU commission gave €1 billion of public funds to green NGOs and lobbyists to promote the policies of the EU Commission. - Paul Homewood
Recent reports from the “Brussels Morning” newspaper said that the Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf had uncovered findings that are now shaking the entire European Union
They discovered that the European Commission had been financing non-governmental organizations (NGOs) lobbying for the policies of former EU Commissioner Frans Timmermans and influencing politicians to push through his “Green Deal.”...
The Report says, “We demand transparency from green NGOs. The European Commission must not use taxpayers’ money to fund studies from affiliated NGOs that conveniently produce results tailored to the Commission’s agenda. That is simply wrong. Studies must be professional and independent. European funds should never be used to serve a political faction or ideology, nor to manipulate MEPs or the public.”

DOGE Won’t Leak Government Data—The Bureaucracy Already Did

The lawsuits against DOGE rest on a flimsy premise: that allowing Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency access to federal data presents an existential threat to privacy and national security.  - @amuse
Yet, these same plaintiffs and judges—almost uniformly aligned with the Democratic Party—have turned a blind eye to real, systemic data breaches that have compromised the personal and financial information of millions of Americans.
The contrast could not be starker: while DOGE’s access is hamstrung over hypothetical risks, the federal government has hemorrhaged sensitive information through negligence, incompetence, and outright criminal acts, often without any meaningful accountability.
  • Consider the staggering breach of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) in 2015, when Chinese hackers infiltrated federal systems, exfiltrating detailed background check data on over 22 million current and former government employees...
  • Fast forward to 2023, and the IRS suffered another massive internal breach—not from external hackers, but from one of its own. Charles Littlejohn, a government contractor, illegally accessed and leaked the tax returns of Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and countless other high-net-worth individuals to left-wing media outlets. His five-year sentence is cold comfort given the irreversible violation of privacy.
Where was the righteous indignation from the very judges and plaintiffs now waging war against DOGE?
They had no interest in reigning in the IRS when it was weaponized to embarrass political opponents...

EPA cancels millions in Biden-era environmental grants | Fox News

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is teaming up with Elon Musk's cost-cutting department to draw back environmental grants issued by the former Democratic administration. The EPA and the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), President Donald Trump's newly formed department aimed at cutting federal spending, recently revealed that the Biden administration earmarked $77.1 million in "environmental justice" grants to 20 recipients. DOGE, as part of its sweep of government "waste," revealed that they are canceling $67.4 million of the unspent funds, the EPA confirmed to Fox News Digital.

With Canada Facing Grueling Tariffs, Trudeau Prioritizes Ukraine in Trump Call

Far-left Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau promised the Ukrainian government $5 billion taken from seized Russian assets and several other forms of aid during a visit to Kyiv on Monday marking the third anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of that country.

The visit was preceded by a phone conversation between Trudeau and American President Donald Trump, who has prioritized brokering an end to the war with Russia directly. Notably, readouts and reports on the contents of that call published this weekend indicated that the topic of conversation was primarily Ukraine, rather than the Canada-U.S. relationship.

DOGE Discovers "Career Civil Service Workers" Filling The Tees At Over 40 DC Golf Courses On The Taxpayer's Dime - The American Tribune.com

On Fridays the tee sheets are filled with the names of career civil service workers. Does your boss let you ‘work’ from the golf course?”  - Ellis Robinson
  • “All federal employees must once again show up to work. is a new phenomena. you know, since covid show up to work in person, like the rest of us, it doesn’t work when you don’t show up,” Trump said.
  • “And I see companies now we’re all going back to it, they’re all going back. It’s great. I watch some of the big business leaders saying we absolutely go back, you can’t work at home, they’re not working.”
  • Calling out government employees for their remote work habits, Trump said, “They’re playing Tennis they’re playing golf or they have other jobs, but they’re not working, or they’re certainly not working hard, you could never build a company or a country with that. So we have a very strong policy and if they don’t show up to work, they get fired.”...

No, BBC, A Small Panamanian Island Is Not Drowning Due To Climate Change | ZeroHedge

The BBC’s recent article “Climate change: The Panama community that fled its drowning island,” claims that the island of Cartí Sugdupu in Panama is being swallowed by rising sea levels due to climate change. -Anthony Watts via WattsUpWithThat.com
This is false.
The reality is that the island’s inhabitants are not being forced to relocate because of rising oceans, but due to overcrowding, poor infrastructure, and a lack of resources—issues that have nothing to do with climate change...
The BBC’s report is misleading at best, deliberately deceptive at worst...
  • Cartí Sugdupu is one of Panama’s San Blas Islands, home to the indigenous Guna people. The BBC’s article, painting a picture of climate-induced displacement, completely ignores the fact that the island is severely overcrowded, with more than 1,000 people packed into a tiny space of just 0.028 square miles. That’s a population density higher than New York City
  • The primary reason the residents are moving is not rising sea levels, but poor living conditions, lack of fresh water, and a shortage of space—issues that have been pressing for decades...
