Climate Expert: Swedish Radio Investigation Unmasks UN’s Widespread Climate Falsehoods

Lapses of scientific integrity in climate science have become normalized. - Roger Pielke Jr.
I was speaking to a non-US non-climate beat reporter yesterday about undeniable issues of scientific integrity in climate science and he asked a question about the climate science community that got my attention [emphasis, links added]:
“And no one cares? Aren’t scientists supposed to care about such things?”
Lapses of scientific integrity in climate science have become normalized.
I no longer expect the community to care about obvious and egregious problems in climate science, even when documented in the peer-reviewed literature.
No one cared then either...

Democrats join House GOP members in censuring Al Green * WorldNetDaily * by Bob Unruh

For one member of the Democrat party in the U.S. House, which already has been condemned as "pathetic" and "petty" for members' outrageous actions during President Donald Trump's address to a joint session of Congress this week, it's getting worse. With a 224-198 vote on Thursday, the House censured Rep. Al Green, D-Texas, for his outlandish stunt in which he stood up while Trump was speaking and badgered him.

His brain gone, your money gone.-----Biden Awarded $28 Million to Mysterious 'Vaccine Company' Run by His COVID Adviser and Based out of a Maryland PO Box

During the final months of the Biden administration, the National Institutes of Health awarded $28 million to a mysterious venture-backed company called Vaccine Company Inc., a biomedical firm founded in 2022 whose chief financial officer happens to be one of former president Joe Biden’s top COVID advisers. - Andrew Kerr
Vaccine Company has left virtually no public footprint showing what it has done with the taxpayer funds, which the Biden administration doled out to a seemingly random post office box in Bethesda, Maryland.
Ernst urged Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in a letter late Tuesday to investigate why the Biden administration awarded millions of taxpayer dollars to the mysterious firm and to consider clawing back any portion of the reward that remains unspent...

Why Schools Need to Go Back to the Basics of Writing - Intellectual Takeout

Once upon a time in America’s schools, teachers were instructed to teach their students the basics of good composition. - Annie Holmquist
According to Bernard Sheridan, a school superintendent in Massachusetts in 1917, these basics included:
  • An absolute mastery of ‘the sentence idea.’
  • Freedom from glaring grammatical mistakes.
  • Correct spelling of all ordinary words.
  • Unfailing use of the commonest marks of punctuation.
  • Some evidence of attention to matters of sentence structure and to the choice of words.
One hundred years later, Americans are slowly waking up to the fact that these basics are no longer being taught...

DC mayor will remove Black Lives Matter mural and plaza over pressure from White House | Blaze Media

The mural will be replaced with a design created by schoolchildren and artists that has yet to be determined. The change will be a part of a celebration of the national semiquincentennial, which is the 250th anniversary of the Second Continental Congress voting for the colonies' independence from Britain in 1776.

Five Ukrainian Fables | RealClearPolitics

Five Ukrainian Fables | RealClearPolitics -  Victor Davis Hanson
Fable one: Trump is appeasing Russia?
  • Who wiped out the Wagner group in Syria? Who sold offensive weapons to Ukraine first? Who warned Germany not to become dependent on the Russian Nord Stream II deal?
  • Who withdrew from an unfair missile deal with the Russians? Who cajoled and berated NATO members to meet their military investment promises made following the 2014 invasion of Ukraine?
  • In contrast, who originally conceived a Russian "reset" in 2009? Who publicly virtue-signaled pushing the red "reset" button in Geneva with the current Russian Minister Sergey Lavrov?
  • Which ex-European leader got a million euros a year working for Russian energy companies?
  • Of the last four presidents, under whose watch did Putin not invade another country?
  • Which American president, in hot-mic style, offered to (and did) dismantle U.S.-Eastern Europe missile defense plans in exchange for temporary Putin quietude ("space") to aid his 2012 reelection?
Fable two: A trade war?...

'MISERABLE': Watch as Dems in Congress blasted as 'demons' or 'gremlins' at Trump speech * WorldNetDaily * by Bob Unruh

"Unfortunately, Congressional Democrats were too consumed by their own hatred of President Trump, refusing to show support for lowering taxes, fighting childhood cancer, capturing terrorists, protecting women and girls in sports, or law and order — to name only a few."

The White House statement noted the comment from former White House spokeswoman Dana Perino, now a network commentator, who said, "The Democratic Party still has no common sense. They have no ideas and they have no heart. They couldn't even stand for the most inspiring moments of the speech."

Should Government Spending Count as GDP? - by Peter St Onge

When we cut government waste, end useless wars, or deport welfare-case illegals, government statistics count it as making us poor. - Peter St Onge
Which is retarded.
Last Sunday Commerce Secretary Harold Lutnick told Maria Bartiromo the Commerce Department — who produces most government statistics — will start counting GDP breaking out government spending.
Last week Elon Musk posted that government spending shouldn't be included in GDP at all because "you could shift everyone who is building cars to working at the DMV and GDP would appear the same."
Musk is right. In fact, it could go up.
Because GDP counts output -- the market price of the car.
But for government there is no output with a market price. So, instead, government statisticians just add up the salaries and other costs.
That means you could close every car factory in America, give them high-paid government jobs looking out the window, and your GDP goes up.
How GDP is Calculated...
Partly for the above reason that GDP counts government spending instead of output.
But there’s a second reason: What government does produce is so bad.
  • Wars in Afghanistan, of course.
  • But consider public schools in Chicago. They spend $28,702 per student -- a princely sum. Yet just 22% of Chicago 11th graders are "proficient" at reading. Just 18% are proficient in math. So you could make a very good case that Chicago school GDP isn't producing anything...

Makin up lies!-----Bill Nye “The Science Guy” said on CNN this morning that forest fires never used to happen in the Carolinas until now.

That sounds scary. Big, if true. - Chris Martz
“There's forest fires, wildfires in the Carolinas—that didn't used to be a thing, everybody.”
That sounds scary. Big, if true.
But, had Nye done any actual research, he might be aware that his DNC talking points don't quite square with the facts.
The South Carolina@ForestryCommish (SCFC) has a wealth of information on their website.
  • Based on the last 30 years of data, ~3,000 fires break out in South Carolina each year.
  • About 18,000 acres are set ablaze annually.
  • 229,908 acres of land burned in 1950 alone, the most in a single calendar year in the Palmetto state. Of the top 10 years with the most fire burn acreage, nine of them were prior to 1970 and seven of them were at least 70 years ago.
  • Annual fire burn acreage has decreased by 72.5% (1950-79 vs. 1994-2023)...

Success of Trump's address makes Democrats' desperate damage control all the more humiliating | Blaze Media

Meanwhile, some legacy media omitted covering Slotkin's address altogether, including Politico Playbook and Punchbowl's morning newsletter. This is just further evidence that Trump's speech was another bright spot for Republicans and MAGA supporters across the country, and Democrats felt it.

New Data-Driven Analysis Shows Improper Payments Likely Far Worse Than Even DOGE claims

The official estimate from DOGE is $2.7 trillion being lost since 2003. - Mark Tapscott
That figure represents losses from improper payments made by both programs, which represent two of the top three most costly federal entitlement programs.
According to federal spending data, Social Security tops that list at $1.3 trillion annually, followed by Medicare at $848 billion and Medicaid at $805 billion, for a total of just less than $3 trillion annually.
  • But the situation may actually be even worse than indicated by DOGE...
  • Officially, Medicaid issued $543 billion in improper payments from 2015 to 2024, but the actual total is almost certainly double that amount...
