While visiting the southern border in Eagle Pass, Texas, Vice President JD Vance gave a hint on how the Trump administration plans on encouraging illegal immigrants to voluntarily leave the United States.
After being asked by Blaze Media to discuss the biggest obstacle to carrying out mass deportations, Vance said, "Rome wasn't built in a day" and that officials are working to rebuild interior immigration enforcement that was "gutted" under the Biden-Harris administration.

I was going to wait until Monday for this but things are developing rapidly so I must inform the public now in a series of tweets. Here is what’s happening:
On Tuesday (SOTU) a House staffer gained entry into one of the House office buildings that leads to the U.S. Capitol. That staffer was in possession of a gun. He was eventually caught and arrested. What makes the problem even worse I’m told the staffer asked (after his arrest) what the problem was with this as no one said anything to him about him bringing the gun in the previous day.
This is the fourth instance of a gun being brought in a building policed by USCP Chief J Thomas Manger since Trump was elected President. What is frightening to me is that both dates that President Trump attended events at the Capitol it was on a date where a gun made it in one of the buildings and I’m told one of the guns made it in a room where President Trump was actually in and only feet away from him.

Officials in New York City have indicated they will ignore an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detainer placed on the illegal immigrant who allegedly burned a woman alive on the subway, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said on Wednesday.
Noem visited the Coney Island subway station where Sebastian Zapeta, 33, allegedlyset Debrina Kawam on fire while she was sleeping in a subway car. In a post on X, Noem said New York officials weren’t cooperating with ICE.

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has uncovered and cancelled a $56,000 contract it was paying to a “plant contractor” to water eight decorative potted plants — with the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) promising to water them “free of charge” from now on.
“The VA cancelled a $56,000 contract to water ~8 plants for 5 years. This is ~$1400/plant/year,” DOGE, led by Elon Musk, said in a Thursday night X post:
