Terrifying Fatal Flight Control Issue Los Banos CA 26 Aug

Instapundit - IT’S A BIG DEAL WHEN THE WASHINGTON MONTHLY IS ADMITTING THIS:

How Florida Universities Became World-Class.

In the Washington Monthly’s 2025 Best Colleges for Your Tuition (and Tax) Dollars, seven Florida universities rank in the top 100 (out of more than 1,400 schools)...And 10 of the top 20 colleges on the Monthly’s Best Bang for the Buck ranking for the Southeast are in Florida.

Why do so many Florida universities do so well on the magazine’s rankings? Part of it is that Florida is a populous state with lots of universities. But Michigan and Pennsylvania have about the same combined population as Florida (23 million). Yet only two Pennsylvania colleges, both private—Haverford (19) and Swarthmore (37)—make the top 100 in the Monthly’s Best Colleges for Your Tuition (and Tax) Dollars, and none from Michigan do.

Of course, they’re quick to inform us that it has absolutely nothing to do with Ron DeSantis. -

beloved franchise was dragged through the mud when customers noticed a change to its recognizable logo, which removed the "old-timer" known as Uncle Herschel sitting on a chair next to a barrel. The brand took it a step further by also removing the barrel itself and erasing the text "Old Country Store."

It's a mental illness!

Certainly worth a look, don't you think?-----President Donald Trump has gone beyond his usual criticism of George Soros—now calling for federal RICO charges against the billionaire and his “radical left son.”

On Truth Social, Trump blasted Soros and his network, accusing them of bankrolling violent protests across the country. - The Hodgetwins
 He wrote:
“George Soros, and his wonderful Radical Left son, should be charged with RICO because of their support of Violent Protests, and much more, all throughout the United States of America.”...

And instead of protecting that little girl, the world tells moms like Sam: “Be quiet.” “Don’t offend.” “You need therapy.”
No. She’s done being quiet — and she’s teaching her daughter to never silence that inner voice.

Fed chair's Jackson Hole speech opens door to potential rate cuts | Fox News

Last Friday in Jackson Hole, Federal Reserve Chairman Jay Powell finally – and grudgingly – admitted what the Trump team has been saying all along: tariffs don’t fuel inflation.
At most, tariffs create a one-time adjustment in prices, not the kind of runaway spiral that demands punishing rate hikes.
And even that one-time bump may be negligible if, as we have long argued, foreign exporters – not American consumers – shoulder most or all of the burden.
  • The implication is clear: whether the impact is zero or merely a one-time step-up in prices, there is absolutely no justification for the Fed to hide behind "tariff uncertainty" as an excuse for overly restrictive interest-rate policy...

Rape Cases Have Skyrocketed Across Europe Since 2000 — But One Country Stands Apart

“They are allowing the rape of Europe because the people in charge sold their own countries out
They tore down borders, let chaos pour in, and told their citizens to shut up and take it.” - Elizabeth Stauffer

  •  Force Americans to buy a product under penalty of law (Obamacare).
  •  Engage the FBI to lie about a laptop they knew was real to sway an election.
  •  Use a federal agency (OSHA) to mandate private company employees to take experimental vaccinations and force military and government employees to take an unproven vaccine or be fired.
  • Mandate residents to remain at home except for essential activities (e.g., California’s Executive Order N-33-20, issued March 19, 2020, by Governor Gavin Newsom). He might even arrest people for paddleboarding alone in the ocean (Newsom), arrest a man with for playing in an empty public park with his own kids (Polis), maybe threaten people for sitting outside on their own front porch (Walz), or padlock public parks and fill up skateparks with sand when being outside was one of the safest places to be.
  • Prohibit loved ones from visiting critically ill or terminally ill people in hospitals or going to funerals while moving sick, high-risk patients back to nursing homes with otherwise uninfected residents (Cuomo).
  • Order closures of businesses deemed non-essential, often without clear criteria (e.g., California and New York enforced widespread closures, impacting small businesses), while allowing “big box” mega-corporate stores to remain open...
