The problem here is not the Insurrection Act or whether we actually invoke it or not. The problem is the fact that the entire media in this country, cheered on by a few far-left lunatics, has made it OK to tee off on American law enforcement. We can not accept that in the United States of America.

And so, Climate Hansenism thrived—not because it was always right, but because it was never wrong...

President Trump Saturday vowed to get members of the military paid Oct. 15 despite the ongoing government shutdown that has prevented nearly all federal employees from being paid.
In a Truth Social post, Trump said he directed Secretary of War Pet Hegseth to find the funds to make good on payday Wednesday, saying, "we have identified funds to do this."
Insisted Trump, " I will not allow the Democrats to hold our Military, and the entire Security of our Nation, HOSTAGE, with their dangerous Government Shutdown."
§252. Use of militia and armed forces to enforce Federal authority Whenever the President considers that unlawful obstructions, combinations, or assemblages, or rebellion against the authority of the United States, make it impracticable to enforce the laws of the United States in any State by the ordinary course of judicial proceedings, he may call into Federal service such of the militia of any State, and use such of the armed forces, as he considers necessary to enforce those laws or to suppress the rebellion.
So first, it’s discretionary to employ:“Whenever the President considers.” This language leaves no room for judicial review, by design; it’s up to the President to determine when the predicates for invoking the Act apply.
Second, this phrase, “unlawful obstructions, combinations, or assemblages, or rebellion against the authority of the United States, make it impracticable to enforce the laws of the United States in any State by the ordinary course of judicial proceedings,” seems to fit perfectly with what’s going on in places like Portland or Chicago.
Third, discretionary language again: “as he considers necessary to enforce those laws or to suppress the rebellion.”
It’s entirely up to the President under the statute...
A serial criminal removed from the United States multiple times for being an illegal alien and arrested for multiple offenses, including drunk driving, was released last year by the state of California despite a federal detainer. He subsequently murdered six people...

This would almost certainly mean smaller course offerings, fewer Division I athletics, and fewer civilian professors without military experience.
