Dutch family has cared for graves of American soldiers for 80 years

But until recently, his family back in New York did not know that his grave site is lovingly tended to by his adopted family in the Netherlands. - Isabel Vincent
Three generations of a Dutch family have been the caretakers of an American soldier’s grave since 1945 — and promise future descendants will do the same.
  • Ernest Francis Fichtl Jr., from the Little Neck neighborhood of Queens, was killed during one of World War II’s bloodiest European battles and is buried at Netherlands American Cemetery and Memorial in Margraten.
  • But until recently, his family back in New York did not know that his grave site is lovingly tended to by his adopted family in the Netherlands.
And it’s not the only one...

Tracking China in the Americas: When Beijing Controls the Capital's Power Grid

China controls 100% of the power distribution in Lima, Peru! - Sarah Anderson
That means that at least 10 million people rely on two Chinese state-owned enterprises (SOE), China Southern Power Grid International (CSGI) and China Three Gorges Corporation, to keep their lights on.
  • This didn't happen overnight.
It started as a series of normal-looking business deals.
  • In 2019, China Three Gorges purchased a hydroelectric dam.
  • In 2020, a subsidiary of that company bought Luz del Sur, a privately owned electricity distribution system.
  • In 2024, CSGI came along and bought Enel Distribución Perú, which was previously owned by an Italian company...

'False, defamatory, disparaging, and inflammatory': Trump threatens BBC with $1 billion lawsuit * WorldNetDaily * by Joe Kovacs

PALM BEACH, Florida – As the head of BBC and its news chief resigned over the weekend amid a firestorm for deceptively editing Donald Trump's remarks on Jan. 6, 2021, the president wasted no time threatening a $1 billion lawsuit if the network does not retract its "false" and "defamatory" statements by Friday.

Fox News reports the president's "litigation counsel sent a scathing notice of intent to bring a civil action lawsuit on Sunday to BBC Chair Samir Shah, along with general counsel Sarah Jones. The letter, which has been obtained by Fox News Digital, demands that 'false, defamatory, disparaging, and inflammatory statements' made about Trump must be retracted immediately."

School Cannot Force Students to Use Trans Pronouns, Federal Court Rules

School Cannot Force Students to Use Trans Pronouns, Federal Court Rules

A federal appeals court in Ohio ruled Thursday that students cannot be forced to use preferred pronouns in school.

Defending Education filed the suit against Olentangy Local School District in 2023, arguing the district’s anti-harassment policy that requires students to use the “preferred pronouns” of others violates students’ First Amendment rights by “compelling students to affirm beliefs about sex and gender that are contrary to their own deeply held beliefs.”

Prosecutor famous for 'Arctic Frost' scandal now in cushy tech job * WorldNetDaily * by Jason Hopkins, Daily Caller News Foundation

Appointed earlier this year as Microsoft's president of global affairs, Monaco previously served as deputy attorney general under President Joe Biden. As a top prosecutor within the Biden administration, Monaco played an integral role in "Arctic Frost," a wide-ranging investigation that Republicans contend used an election interference case as a pretense to essentially target the entire Republican Party. "Given Lisa Monaco's leadership role in weaponizing the Biden Department of Justice against its political enemies, as evidenced in the recently released documents detailing 'Arctic Frost', it is wholly inappropriate and a risk to national security for Monaco to have any role whatsoever in the oversight of DHS contracts at Microsoft," Fitzpatrick said in a statement provided to the DCNF.

'One of the biggest scandals in history': Notorious Obama judge who greenlit secret subpoenas targeting Republicans gets smacked with ethics complaint * WorldNetDaily * by Katelynn Richardson, Daily Caller News Foundation

"Judge Boasberg enabled certain facets of what may be one of the biggest scandals in the history of the country," the ethics complaint filed by the Center to Advance Security in America (CASA) and exclusively obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation states. "Weaponizing the DOJ to surveil political opposition not only violates the rights of the subjects of the investigation, but also the American people who were unable to know the facts of the investigation due to the secrecy of it."
