Total failure!-----Editorial: Democrats passed Obamacare. They own its failure.

Democrats muscled the ACA through Congress in 2010 without Republican input and without a single Republican vote.  - The Detroit News
  • The promise was that it would cut the cost of health insurance and ensure that everyone would get coverage.
  • That, the Democrats vowed, would reduce overall health care spending.
Fifteen years later, those promises have not been delivered.
The experiment has failed, and its enormous costs have become too great to ignore...
  • In 2025, the average annual premium for employer-sponsored family health insurance is $26,993.
  • In 2010, it was $13,770, according to the KFF Foundation...

Sad stats from Chicago. Similar to most democrat-dominated US cities.

#1 This day 1971-----Isaac Hayes - Theme From Shaft (1971)

Researchers at Stanford have finally given a name to something many women have been dealing with for years. It’s called mankeeping.

Instapundit - And it’s helping explain why so many women are stepping away from dating altogether. - Ed Driscoll

Yes, from the pages of Vice, it’s a men-are-the-problem-and-therefore-unnecessary article...

  • Mankeeping describes the emotional labour women end up doing in heterosexual relationships.

Lesbian relationships being entirely free of aggravation and disappointment, you see.

With rates of failure and divorce twice that of heterosexuals, more than double that of gay male couples, and with high rates of alcoholism and spousal abuse. What one might infer from that, I leave to others...

Parasites!

A new tranche of records relating to the 1937 disappearance of aviation pioneer Amelia Earhart was released by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) on Friday. The new documents include 4,624 pages related to Amelia Earhart, including filings from the U.S. Navy recording the search for Earhart, documents detailing preparations for Earhart's globe-spanning flight, news coverage of Earhart's disappearance, and other materials.

Due process WAS given to everyone who was given a court date. To no-show is to WAIVE one's own hearing.

And every illegal immigrant who is caught and released gets their due process the moment they are given a court date. - Patricia Anthone

That court date IS the process.
They’re told:
• the charges,
• the time and place of their hearing,
• the judge’s location,
• their right to bring an attorney,
• and the consequences of not appearing.
That satisfies the constitutional requirement.
Due process = notice + opportunity to be heard.
They got both.
  • But here’s the part nobody on the Left ever talks about:
After Biden released millions into the country…
Roughly 97%-98% never showed up for their court hearing...

Newsom Again Avoids Accountability amid Palisades Fire Fallout

Newsom Again Avoids Accountability amid Palisades Fire Fallout

Newsom’s remarks arrive as victims and lawmakers continue to question his leadership and accountability in the wake of a fire that destroyed nearly 7,000 structures and killed 12 people in the Pacific Palisades and Malibu areas alone. Newsom has faced scrutiny from federal officials, legal challenges from displaced residents, and intense criticism from those who accuse his administration of negligence, obstruction, and policy exploitation in the aftermath of the blaze.

In the days immediately following the fire, Gov. Newsom deflected responsibility during a visit to the evacuation zone, placing blame on residents who had not yet fled. “The fact that people were still not evacuated, still did not heed the warning, were just coming down the canyon,” he remarked, “is a reminder of how serious this moment is, and how important it is you listen to these evacuation orders.”

Healthcare costs drive America's growing national affordability crisis | Newt Gingrich Fox News
Healthcare transparency could unlock savings for working families, but interest groups might oppose it
Healthcare now consumes nearly one-fifth of our economy...
There are three truths both parties must face.
  • First, the system is already too expensive and locked in a pattern that guarantees it will grow more unaffordable every year.
  • Second, 60 years of bureaucratic control — public and private — have utterly failed to contain costs.
  • Third, we must build a new model that relies on patients, doctors and employers — not massive government and insurance-company bureaucracies — to achieve the change Americans want...

Century-Old Bottle Carries Soldiers' Messages from the Past

Century-Old Bottle Carries Soldiers' Messages from the Past

More than a century ago, two bored World War I Australian army recruits passed the time during their unit’s voyage to war-torn France by scrawling cheerful messages in pencil on scraps of paper.

They sealed up both notes in a single glass soda bottle and tossed it overboard, sailing away to their respective destinies — one to a graveyard, the other to a field hospital and ultimately back home.

Last month, as a family patrolled Wharton Beach in Western Australia on a mission to clean up trash, they made a shocking discovery: an antique Schweppe’s bottle containing the century-old letters.
