- •Gas prices: Aggressive environmental taxes and regulatory premiums keep California’s gas prices much higher than in the rest of the country.

The Death of Cross-Examination - Kurt Schlichter
If you’re wondering why lies can go on and on and on, apparently unchallenged, you can go no further than the death of cross-examination. - Kurt Schlichter Legal scholar John Henry Wigmore famously observed, "Cross-examination is the greatest legal engine ever invented for the discovery of truth,” and he’s right...
But its utility is not limited to the courtroom.
- Cross-examination should be part of all our debates, but it’s not, and that is no accident.
- Cross-examination makes it that much harder to lie, and when the only way you can win is through lies, you know what you have to do.
- Look around at our "debates" today. They aren’t debates.
- They are a series of monologues where the speaker never has to defend what he is saying...
And there are a lot of lies...
And when everyone lies, it makes it that much more important to get to the truth.
And when everyone lies, it makes it that much more important to get to the truth.
But you can’t get to the truth unless you can confront people with the holes in their argument...
Look at the Epstein thing...
Many of the alleged victims are just begging to be asked the question, “How old were you anyway when you first got with Epstein, and did he give you money?” And in many cases, an honest answer would be “18 or over” and “yes.”
Well, there’s another word for someone like that, and it’s not “victim.”...

It turns out I was (happily) wrong and Navarro was right, much to the relief of the 62% of American adults who own stocks.
The Dow not only closed past the 50,000-point milestone for the first time in history on Feb. 6, but the Dow, S&P 500 and Nasdaq indexes have each gained more than 10% in the past year.
I hear what you’re thinking: The stock market isn’t the economy.
- In April 2025, as U.S. stock markets were melting down in reaction to Donald Trump’s so-called Liberation Day edicts, the president’s top adviser on tariffs, Peter Navarro, proclaimed that not only would markets rebound but that the Dow Jones Industrial Average also would soar past 50,000 points.
It turns out I was (happily) wrong and Navarro was right, much to the relief of the 62% of American adults who own stocks.

I hear what you’re thinking: The stock market isn’t the economy.
That cliché is both true and false.
- True in that not all dinghies rise when the markets swell.
- But false because of what the markets do measure – the financial health of companies that cut paychecks for the vast majority of Americans.
The data is clear: Trump's economy is strong...

Nancy Krause, a retired nurse, admitted making the report, claiming the Calvert County Club America had banned adults who were not volunteers from a Dec. 17 event featuring two members of the Calvert County Board of Education.

Europeans who lived under communism hate it. Those spared pursue it.
“We do not want allies shackled by guilt and shame. We want allies who are proud of their culture and heritage, and are willing to help us defend it.” - —Marco RubioSecretary of State Marco Rubio’s speech at the Munich Security Conference shook up the European leadership by reminding them of the dangers of communism.
