Just what do they stand for??!!

Just to sum up the night, Democrats refused to stand for:
• A 99-year-old WWII veteran
• A service member who saved a girl from deadly floods
• A 5-year-old girl who got rammed by a criminal illegal alien truck driver
• A little girl receiving life-changing help for a severe disability
• Iryna, stabbed to death on a train, and her grieving family
• Team USA gold medal champions
• Law enforcement and Border Patrol agents
• American heroes
• Americans over illegals

"Senator Mullins FIRED BACK after Bernie Sanders took a cheap shot, and it did NOT end well for the octogenarian socialist...

Markwayne: "God forbid we change and go after and try to fix our broken system. - Andrew Kolvet@AndrewKolvet
...Anyways, I ranted too long."
Sanders:
"Yes, you did."
Markwayne:
"I'm sorry, I didn't ask your opinion on that.
And if I cared about you, I would ask you, but I don't care about your opinion.
Well, you're part of the system.
You're part of the problem.
You've been sitting here longer than I've even been alive.
This is your problem.
You should have fixed this a long time ago."

When the Right found out Alysa Liu is woke, they celebrated her. When the Left found out the U.S. men's Olympic hockey team is partial to Trump, they turned on them.

You don’t hate the media enough. You think you do, but you don’t. - Batya Ungar-Sargon
The media coverage of the Olympics has been atrocious, dripping with disdain for the patriotism the Olympics exist to fan.
  • Athletes who trashed the U.S. became heroes to the liberal media.
  • Athletes who covered themselves in the American flag were immediately suspect.
But nothing beats the way the liberal media has turned on the U.S. men’s Olympic hockey team after they took a phone call from the President.
Of course, it started before then.
There was the heinous Huffington Post article, whose headline read, “If waving the American flag or chanting “USA!” turns you off right now, you're not alone.”
  • Just take a minute to compare the way the New York Times’ sports vertical, The Athletic, covered Eileen Gu, an American-born traitor who chose to compete for China, and the way the same publication covered our boys on the men’s hockey team, who brought home the gold in the last sporting event of the Olympics.

Here’s how they describe Eileen Gu in an absolutely fawning piece: “The scientist, politician, skier, model, and student is like a magician, the audience dazzled by her mastery but somewhat irked by how she does it.”

For real? “Scientist, politician, skier, model, and student”? Are you kidding me?

Maybe the audience isn’t “irked.” Maybe they think it’s an utter disgrace to be raised an American, to be granted all the benefits this great nation has to offer, then turn around and compete for our greatest adversary. Maybe they think competing for one of the globe’s worst human rights abusers is beneath contempt.

Compare that to how the same publication covered the U.S. men’s Olympic hockey team, which brought home the gold and then covered themselves in American flags, telling the world in interview after interview how much they adore their homeland.

Here’s the New York Times: “The U.S. men’s hockey team won Olympic gold for the first time since the ‘Miracle on Ice’ 46 years ago, and for a time, the joy belonged to everyone. By the next day, it didn’t.”

Why? What happened? How did they manage to lose all that joy?

They took a call from the President of the United States, laughed at a dumb joke he made, and accepted an invitation to attend the State of the Union as his guests.

That’s it. That was enough to lose them the love and respect of the New York Times.

So just to recap: For the New York Times, if you are a traitor to your homeland and represent a regime committing genocide and jailing dissidents, you will get called a scientist, politician, skier, model, student, and magician who “irks” people due to your outrageous fabulousness.

But if you are the men’s hockey team of the United States of America, win an incredible Olympic gold medal in overtime, and unite the nation around this glorious win, you will get trashed as divisive losers by the New York Times for taking a call from the President of the United States.

It’s just appalling.

On Sunday, I wrote about a funny meme on the Left, where Leftists were mocking conservatives for praising women’s figure skater and Olympic gold medalist Alysa Liu because Liu has liberal politics. “Don’t you know she’s woke?” they kept posting, incapable of even conceptualizing that to the Right, her politics just don’t matter, because she competed proudly for her country. In fact, I wrote, I love Alysa Liu even more if she’s woke—because she left her personal politics at home, outside the Olympics, so we could all cheer her on.

When the Left came out mocking conservatives for praising Liu, they were telling on themselves, I argued: The Left cannot fathom cheering on an athlete or really anyone who they know conclusively does not share their politics. Such people don’t get cheered—they get hounded.

This New York Times article about the men’s hockey team is exactly that: Having discovered that these guys probably like Trump, the New York Times turned on them.

That’s what we learned this week:

When the Right found out that Alysa Liu was a liberal, they celebrated her.

When the Left found out the hockey team liked Trump, they turned on them.

And yet, they stayed seated.

'Insufferable scum': Watch Democrats in Congress refuse to stand for all these things that make America great * WorldNetDaily * by Bob Unruh

"Illegal immigration was one of the defining issues of the 2024 election. And yet, on national television, with the whole country tuned in, Democratic lawmakers couldn't bring themselves to affirm that the government's first job is to protect their own constituents over illegal immigrants," the report noted. "This wasn't a political miscalculation on their part; it was a confession."

How Apple News and other tech giants change the narrative for Democrats

Remember that time before the 2020 election when everyone was focused on social media election interference?Douglas Murray
Apple has set up a sneaky little system of its own, to make sure that its customers get indoctrinated in one political direction.
  • A study showed that out of 166 articles pushed by Apple News over a two-week period, exactly half came from left-leaning outlets.
  • Most of the rest came from “centrist” news sources.
Not one of the stories in the carefully curated “top news” stories section came from an outlet that would be classified as “right-leaning.”
  • In January, Apple’s top stories consisted of 620 stories from left-leaning and other news sources.
  • Exactly zero stories came from any outlet that could be described as right-leaning.
Among other tricks, Apple tries to justify this by rating news sources on their “trustworthiness.”
  • And who could have guessed that conservative or other right-leaning outlets are consistently graded as “untrustworthy”?
  • While almost any left-wing news site will be graded as the most trustworthy news sources of all time.Apple never seems to offer any stories from right-leaning news sites...
