forget to talk about the change in its quality.- Dr. Randall Bock is a brilliant physician - i think he'd be known as a GP, though he clearly has some specialties too - who now writes a column on substack.
- His latest piece concerns a recent doctor visit - one in which he was the patient, visiting a (prospective) new primary care physician for his own personal health insurance plan.
- So this piece isn't about his other patients; it's a doctor's perspective on the experience of a first visit with a doctor, from the knowing eye of a doctor himself.
I can't recommend it strongly enough. This is one of those issues that hits home with virtually every reader: we've all been to the doctor, we've all suspected that
care is often no longer what it once was, and we all suspect that something political has changed the nature of the doctor-patient relationship and the quality of that care.
