Judge Napolitano Says Hillary Clinton ‘Should Be Terrified’ of New Revelation in Email Scandal — and the Answer to This Simple Question | Video | TheBlaze.com:

"Napolitano argued that the revelation that former Clinton aide Bryan Pagliano, who set up Clinton’s private email server in 2009, is reportedly being offered immunity means he will likely be called to testify against someone much higher on the “totem pole.”

Pagliano will likely be asked how he was able to “migrate a State Department secure system onto her private server.” He then presented this theoretical question: “Mr. Pagliano, did Mrs. Clinton give you her personal Secretary of State password to enable you to do that?”

“If he answers, ‘yes,’ "

So the New York Times’ Vivian Yee’s take on the fake hate crime at Albany is this:
“It was a turnabout tailor-made to delight conservative media outlets and to ignite social-media recriminations.”
Ann Althouse calls this “scurrilous” and comments:
“Why invent delight in the minds of conservatives?
That’s really a repackaging of what seems to be your own disappointment that a terrible racist attack didn’t happen!
Shameful.”

Border Crime Taking A Toll On Residents In Southwest New Mexico, Arizona

Border Crime Taking A Toll On Residents In Southwest New Mexico, Arizona | KRWG
"Residents of New Mexico's Bootheel and parts of southern Arizona say human smuggling and drug trafficking is taking its toll on the region.
The Deming Headlight reports that residents are scheduled Thursday to express their concerns to federal officials during a meeting at the Animas Community Center in Animas, New Mexico.
Judy Keeler, a longtime resident of the rural border region, says her home was recently burglarized and it's not an unusual episode for other residents.
Residents have said state Highway 80 has become a favorite for Mexican cartel drug runners who manage to navigate out of the Peloncillo Mountains along the Arizona-New Mexico border.
They want an even more increased presence from the U.S. Border Patrol.

Carpenter Makes The Most INTRICATE Radial But When You See It... - World War Wings:
How Long Did That Even Take?
We’re having a hard time discerning what’s more impressive; the original design of a radial engine or a lone carpenter who made his own WORKING replica of one.
By working we mean that when he turns the shaft, all the gears and cylinders work to show you exactly what’s going on inside.
This guy should be a show host somewhere, because his delivery on this seemingly boring subject is on point and really keeps you interested.
For those of you who are interested in this type of engine that powered many World War II era warbirds, this is heaven.
Ian Jimmerson, the highly skilled carpenter, removes all the parts step by step and explains what they do.
You can listen to the whole video yourself and really get to know these amazing engines, but we do want to make an observation however.
How did he do that and how long did it take?
When he cranks the engine everything seems to be moving exactly as it should and without a hitch.
It is beyond impressive.
Just want to give him a shout out and say “amazing work!”
There are two separate videos in these series.
The one you’ll see below here is part one where he explains everything in detail.
Part two below that is a bit more detailed too, but that’s when he takes a drill to it and shows us that it actually works.
Amazing stuff!

Glenn’s Dream Team | Glenn Beck

Glenn’s Dream Team | Glenn Beck:

"Trump’s next move? Do all he can to pitt the other candidates against each other and against Ted Cruz. If he can to feed the animosity between them, making sure they stay in their current places, they won’t unite and come together.

But, if the candidates do unite behind Ted Cruz — because he’s the only one with the numbers to beat Donald Trump — there is a pathway to victory.

Glenn outlined his dream team to accomplish just that."

Inside the Cunning, Unprecedented Hack of Ukraine’s Power Grid

Inside the Cunning, Unprecedented Hack of Ukraine’s Power Grid | WIRED
"IT WAS 3:30 p.m. last December 23, and residents of the Ivano-Frankivsk region of Western Ukraine were preparing to end their workday and head home through the cold winter streets.
Inside the Prykarpattyaoblenergo control center, which distributes power to the region’s residents, operators too were nearing the end of their shift.
But just as one worker was organizing papers at his desk that day, the cursor on his computer suddenly skittered across the screen of its own accord.
He watched as it navigated purposefully toward buttons controlling the circuit breakers at a substation in the region and then clicked on a box to open the breakers and take the substation offline. A dialogue window popped up on screen asking to confirm the action, and the operator stared dumbfounded as the cursor glided to the box and clicked to affirm.
Somewhere in a region outside the city he knew that thousands of residents had just lost their lights and heaters.
The operator grabbed his mouse and tried desperately to seize control of the cursor, but it was unresponsive.
Then as the cursor moved in the direction of another breaker, the machine suddenly logged him out of the control panel..."

Pitt Students 'In Tears' and Feeling 'Unsafe' After Milo Yiannopoulos Event

Pitt Students 'In Tears' and Feeling 'Unsafe' After Milo Yiannopoulos Event - Breitbart
"The University of Pittsburgh’s Student Government Board held a public meeting on Tuesday to discuss the traumatizing visit the night before from “dangerous” homosexual and Breitbart Tech Editor Milo Yiannopoulos, during which students described themselves as feeling “hurt” and “unsafe.”
“During his talk, Yiannopoulos called students who believe in a gender wage gap ‘idiots,’ declared the Black Lives Matter movement a ‘supremacy’ group, while feminists are ‘man-haters,’” according to the student paper The Pitt News, prompting a handful of twenty-something-year olds to feel upset.
“Just because we have to be neutral with our funding doesn’t mean we’re personally neutral,” announced board member Jack Heidecker at the meeting. “I hurt yesterday, too.”
“So many of us shared in our pain.
I felt I was in danger, and I felt so many people in that room were in danger,” proclaimed Marcus Robinson, student and president of the Pittsburgh Rainbow Alliance.
Robinson also suggested that councilors should have been provided in another room to protect students who felt “traumatized by Yiannopoulos’s opinions.
“This is more than hurt feelings, this is about real violence.
We know that the violence against marginalized groups happens every day in this country,” claimed social work and urban studies major Claire Matway.
“That so many people walked out of that [event] feeling in literal physical danger is not alright...”

February Gun Sales Numbers Are In – Gun Grabbers Aren’t Happy At All

February Gun Sales Numbers Are In – Gun Grabbers Aren’t Happy At All:
"The number of background checks ran for gun purchases during the month of February has been released and gun grabbers, along with the current administration, is likely not too happy about it.
According to FBI data, over 2.6 million background checks were made for firearms purchases in February, making it the ninth month in row that gun sales have set a record.
Of course, background check numbers don’t tell the whole story.
One background check could mean multiple firearms were purchased.
Also, in numerous states, millions of concealed carry permit holders are exempt from background checks, so their purchases are not reflected here.
Hundreds of millions of firearms have been purchased by Americans in the last decade, likely pushing the number of privately owned firearms somewhere over 400 million."

Duggan unveils $40 million fund to help Detroit homebuyers - Crain's Detroit Business
"Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan on Thursday unveiled a $40 million fund to help 1,000 buyers obtain mortgages in Detroit and overcome a gap in property appraisals that is thwarting neighborhood revitalization.
The Detroit Home Mortgage fund, the first of its kind nationwide, stems from a public-private partnership that includes five banks, community foundations, nonprofits and the state.
The money will provide second mortgages to qualified people who otherwise would be unable to buy a home and is aimed at boosting home ownership, property values and reinvestment in Detroit.
The goal is to provide mortgages to 1,000 buyers, a target that would double the number of mortgages issued in Detroit last year.
Buyers have had trouble obtaining mortgages in Detroit because loans were limited to the low, appraised value of a home..."

The chief justice’s decision comes despite an earlier 5-4 ruling that the whole Mercury and Air Toxics Standards scheme is basically illegal."

Why are GOPers going to Detroit? Are they just dumb. Or just stupid?-----Detroiters in no mood to be entertained by presidential debate at Fox Theatre

Detroiters in no mood to be entertained by presidential debate at Fox Theatre | MLive.com:
DETROIT, MI -- ...But some Metro Detroiters looking to choose a candidate before the March 8 primary are in no mood to be entertained Thursday.
Detroit is in the middle of a grueling battle to recover from rock-bottom calamity of historic proportions.
And Thursday's debate at the Fox Theatre in the heart of Downtown Detroit comes days before a another presidential forum in the only other U.S. city that has faced comparable levels of poverty, violence, economic stagnancy and educational struggle: Flint.
...Rev. Oscar King III, on the other hand, supports none of the candidates who will be on stage Thursday, but has just as little patience for unsubstantial debate.
..."To come to the city of Detroit, I think is just a show, and I'm not sure they're going to gain anything from it... Republicans for years have pretended the city of Detroit did not exist."
...But King argued that much of the improvement and economic development Detroit is seeing has been limited to the city's central Downtown and Midtown areas.
"The rest of the community, we consider stranded development," King said.
"If they're looking to change hearts and minds out in the greater Detroit community, I hope great is their faith...
"With the changes in the demographics of Downtown, moving from black to white, maybe that's the new treasure trove for them, but the folks in the communities have little rapport or connection with the Republican Party...
The improvement in the city of Detroit is divided among too groups.
The perception is that some people are included in everything, and others are left out..."

Why colleges are banning hoverboards from campus | MLive.com
GRAND RAPIDS, MI – West Michigan universities are among a growing group of colleges that have banned hoverboards from campus over concerns about fires and injury.
As of January, the two-wheeled, self-balancing scooters have been banned from more than 30 colleges either campus-wide or partially, such as from residential halls.
..."We believe that many of the reported incidents, and the related unreasonable risk of injuries and deaths associated with the fires in these products, would be prevented if all such projects were manufactured in compliance with the referenced voluntary safety standards," according to the letter.
In addition to some hoverboards catching fire, the agency said people have fallen and received concussions, fractures, contusions and abrasions, and internal organ injuries."

Notre Dame Prof: Our Schools are Committing ‘Civilizational Suicide’

Notre Dame Prof: Our Schools are Committing ‘Civilizational Suicide’ | Intellectual Takeout
"...So what’s his assessment of America’s best students?
“My students are know-nothings.”
“They are exceedingly nice, pleasant, trustworthy, mostly honest, well-intentioned, and utterly decent.
But their brains are largely empty, devoid of any substantial knowledge that might be the fruits of an education in an inheritance and a gift of a previous generation...
...Usually, people assume that this distressing situation is due to the failures of the modern education system.
But according to Deneen, that is not the case.
On the contrary, he writes that modern students’ ignorance is the education system’s “crowning achievement… the consequence of a civilizational commitment to civilizational suicide.”
He explains:
“What our educational system aims to produce is cultural amnesia, a wholesale lack of curiosity, history-less free agents, and educational goals composed of content-free processes and unexamined buzz-words like ‘critical thinking,’ ‘diversity,’ ‘ways of knowing,’ ‘social justice,’ and ‘cultural competence.’
...Deneen is no pessimist.
He cares deeply for his students, and is frustrated that they haven’t been taught “what is rightfully theirs.”
But he is no false optimist either:
“But even on those better days, I can’t help but hold the hopeful thought that the world they have inherited—a world without inheritance, without past, future, or deepest cares—is about to come tumbling down, and that this collapse would be the true beginning of a real education.”
As Alasdair MacIntyre lamented in After Virtue,
“[T]he barbarians are not waiting beyond the frontiers; they have already been governing us for quite some time.”..."

Gun Grabbers Don't Get It. When The "Economy Falls Apart, Crime Increases." That's Why You Need Guns.

Gun Grabbers Don't Get It. When The "Economy Falls Apart, Crime Increases." That's Why You Need Guns.:
"...Here in America, it will very likely be the last line of defense as the infrastructure crumbles and the economy bottoms out.
People who lose everything lose control; and while they deserve better opportunities, turning to wanton acts of crime and threatening the life of your family is not acceptable.
Only an armed populace can defend itself against a society that has abolished dignity and incited waves of crime in government and institutions, and on the streets.
If you want to see gun control in action, just go to inner city Chicago and witness the worst scenes of violence in the entire country.
...In other words, there is a strong correlation between gun laws and gun deaths, but almost no correlation between gun laws and the overall murder rate.
...The truth is, the real drivers of crime are incredibly murky.
The only thing we know for sure is that when the economy falls apart, crime often increases, but only most of the time.
Crime rates continued to decrease in the US even during the Great Recession.
And perhaps that is why this argument that the gun grabbers are always trying to make, is so stupid. Like everyone else, they desperately want to find a single simplistic cause for all the murders that happen; a cause that fits their world view.
But in the real world there isn’t just one reason, and if there were, it certainly wouldn’t be guns since there isn’t any convincing data.
Remember that the next time the gun grabbers go on about “decreasing gun murder rates.”
What they’re really saying is, “give up your rights, even though it won’t benefit you or your community in any way.”

The 9 most troubling quotes from Gov. Rick Snyder's office e-mail dump
March 3, 2015 e-mail from Dennis Muchmore, the governor's chief of staff:
"I have become increasingly concerned about the situation in Flint and the lack of empathy for the residents.
I'm not sure that buying water from Ice Mountain or Bill Young makes sense and I don't know about (redacted) since they buy it from Bill or local sources and repackage.
But, it would seem to me that buying some and giving it to residents who are having discoloration or smell issues would be fair and prudent until it gets ironed out.
Maybe this doesn't make sense to you and if not just chalk it up to the delirium I'm feeling fro the sun and drop the idea....
I worry that swooping in may reinforce the idea that there is something wrong with the water after all.
But, it seems to me that that would be small issue compared to blowing off these ministers and their concerns.
Of course, we can't supply the water forever so maybe working with Wayne (Workman in Treasury) something can be figured out."

ANN ARBOR, MI — Plans for a two-story community bath house in downtown Ann Arbor are headed to the City Council for approval.
The Ann Arbor Planning Commission voted 5-0 Tuesday night in favor of the 12,398-square-foot Sun Baths proposal for a vacant site at 319 N. Main St.
The building would contain a mix of common bath and sauna areas, as well as smaller private bath spaces.
There would be a larger pool area that is the "Main Waters" area for bathers to rest and relax in between other bath areas.
There also would be three private spas that fit one to eight people, along with restrooms, offices, a staff break room and storage.
...No onsite automobile parking is proposed, though plans indicate there would be seven bicycle parking spaces.

John McAfee unlocks an iPhone and does not eat a shoe- The Inquirer
SHOE CONSERVATIONISTS should be glad that colourful security character John McAfee has lived up to his word and managed to unlock an iPhone.
Such people will be interested because McAfee mentioned shoes when discussing the Apple privacy and security case.

At least one shoe was due to be eaten by McAfee should he and some fans of hair dye and reggae fail to crack the passcode.
Yeah, Dan Brown this ain't.
But it makes for a good distraction.
McAfee, a not-camera shy man, took to the telly to show off the exploit and let off the espadrille.
This is a win for McAfee, mono-phobic shoes and TV, but perhaps not for privacy, people and Apple.
The presidential candidate and FBI-taunting antivirus pioneer reckons that any hacker or software and hardware engineer could pull off the same trick.
He used a disassembler and looked for evidence of the log-in, and claimed that it took only 30 mins.
...He said that he has not been approached by the FBI but would gladly walk them through the procedure.
We are pretty confident that the agency is well aware of McAfee and his work in this area.
McAfee suggested in a later television interview that former FBI officer Steve Rogers and his peers were clueless about technology, and that unlocking the iPhone would not aid the American people. Rogers countered that the US is "at war"..."

"On the Difficulties of the Movie Star"

National Review Online | Print:
"On the Difficulties of the Movie Star"
"...The diversity racket — and it is a racket — depends entirely upon keeping prestigious, powerful, and, above all, wealthy institutions in a state of political agitation and moral panic.
It’s Hollywood’s turn this time around, and the manufactured controversy is the lack of black nominees for the top honors at the Academy Awards.
...The problem for the proponents of minor diversity, meaning black and Latino Americans, is the emergence of major diversity in Hollywood, which is a fully global enterprise.
African Americans may constitute 12 percent of the U.S. population, but Academy Award nominees are drawn from the population of the entire world, of which African Americans constitute something less than a rounding error.
If we were to assume a random distribution of Academy Award nominations, then we would expect to find no African American nominees in many years, just as we would expect to find no Ukrainians or Comorians in many years.
If African-American actors, writers, and directors are nominated in numbers lower than their presence in the industry would suggest, it reflects the fact that black Americans, like white Americans, are wildly overrepresented in Hollywood.
But that fact is changing.
No one will admit to being annoyed by it, but more global diversity in Hollywood will mean less local diversity, which is a problem if you want to define “diversity” in such a way as to include two ethnic groups instead of . . . well, there are 213 different ethnic groups identified in the New Zealand census alone.
There are many more ethnicities on earth than nation-states.
The convolution of thinking necessary to maintain #OscarsSoWhite–type thinking is substantial.
If excessive whiteness is the offense, then “white” needs to be defined in such a way that it includes Alejandro González Iñárritu and Pato Escala Pierart.
But Hollywood has in fact been pressing in precisely the opposite direction, insisting that Latin Americans must not be considered white.
...When they get around to casting the lead in The Barack Obama Story, they’ll probably just cast Harry Lennix.
But if they don’t, what is the ethnically correct thing to do?
Find a half-Luo, half-daffy American-hippie actor?
Tell every actor from each of Africa’s 3,000 ethnic groups that they’re all interchangeably black in the eyes of Hollywood liberals?
In fact, a film about the Obamas’ early courtship has just been released, with Parker Sawyers of Zero Dark Thirty as the future president.
His professional material identifies him as generically “African American.”
Close enough?
The activists will never be satisfied, because being unsatisfied — being outraged — is their business. It’s a good business:
Universal Studios’ “chief diversity officer” holds the rank of executive vice president.
The money in the diversity racket is big:
Google is spending $150 million to increase the diversity in its work force, in which whites are slightly underrepresented while Asians are dramatically overrepresented — again, if we’re using U.S. demographics for our point of comparison.
And it is by no means clear that we should: Google, like Hollywood, is global..."
