"Judicial Watch asked a federal court for additional discovery over the Clinton email issue.  In addition to document requests, the new Revised Discovery Proposal asks for depositions from Clinton, Clinton aide Cheryl Mills and eight other State Department officials in order to explore “evidence of wrongdoing or bad faith with respect to State Department’s response” to Judicial Watch’s Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request as well as some earlier FOIA requests.

The January 10 filing is the latest move in a July 2014 FOIA lawsuit by Judicial Watch seeking records related to the drafting and use of the Benghazi talking points (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of State (No. 1:14-cv-01242)).  This lawsuit forced the Clinton email issue into the public eye in early 2015."

Mollie's first example is the New York Times' #FakeNews claim that Rick Perry only recently came to understand that as Secretary of Energy, he would be in charge of safeguarding the US' nuclear arsenal...
Mollie's third example is this amazing headline. A Yale professor of computer science, widely considered an actual genius in his field, criticized unexamined liberal assumptions choking the academy.

"The National Education Association is urging students and teachers to skip school Thursday to protest the presidency of Donald Trump at school.
Promoting a "National Day of Action" on Thursday, the NEA said, "On Thursday, January 19, the day before Donald Trump assumes the presidency, thousands of students, parents, educators and community members from across the nation will hold rallies in front of school buildings to inclusively stand up for all students."
The protests are being organized by the Alliance to Reclaim our Schools. 
On its website, it details the plan:
— A rally at a school, or district offices calling for more investment in public education.
— Actions targeting billionaires or corporations that receive tax breaks from the city and deny public schools the revenues they need to be successful.
— A group meeting with your U.S. Senator to demand that he/she vote NO on the nomination of billionaire Betsy DeVos for Secretary of Education.
— "Walk-ins" at local schools around the city in the morning in support of public education.
 Visits to / rallies at the offices of state legislators or members of Congress to demand full investment in public education and ask them to vote NO on vouchers and charter expansion..."

Ironically, Ayers, a former associate of Obama’s, was on his way from Havana, where he wrote that he was celebrating the 75th birthday of his wife, fellow Weather Underground member Bernadine Dohrn.

Like the FALN, Ayers’ Weather Underground was also linked to bombings in U.S. cities, including those targeting the U.S. Capitol building, the Pentagon, and numerous New York police stations."

John Lewis stated that he does not believe Trump is a “legitimate president,” that he is “wrong” for the nation, and that this is the first inauguration at which he will not be present.
However, soon after he made his comment, a report surfaced that Lewis had skipped George W. Bush’s inauguration because he did not believe Bush was the true elected president, thus it would be hypocritical for him to attend.

For eight  years, it was virtually impossible to get reporters interested in legitimate Obama administration scandals. 
Now, they are so eager to run scandal stories about the incoming Trump administration that they are making them up.
Two stories from major news outlets demonstrate this.

  • First is the New York Times hit piece on Trump's pick for Energy Secretary, Rick Perry. It claimed that until days after Perry accepted the job, he "knew almost nothing about" the fact that a key function of the Energy Department is the stewardship of the nation's nuclear arsenal. The story spread like wildfire, with journalists falling over each other to tweet out clever Perry put downs. What was the Times' alarming claim based on? Nothing more than a twisted interpretation of a single quote from one person: Michael McKenna, a Republican energy lobbyist who was canned form the Trump transition team before Perry was picked. McKenna himself has since said the Times misinterpreted what he said. ..The story was so egregiously wrong that even the liberal New York magazine took the Times to task for spreading a false rumor.



  • Just days before, CNN ran a hit piece on Rep. Tom Price — Trump's pick to head the Health and Human Services Department — for supposedly engaging in insider trading last year. A "bombshell" story published on Tuesday — titled "First on CNN: Trump's pick invested in company, then introduced a bill to help it" — said Price had bought as much as $15,000 worth of shares in Zimmer Biomet (ZBH), a company that makes knee and hip replacements. Then, the story goes, he introduced the HIP Act, which would have delayed an ObamaCare regulation that would, if implemented, hurt Zimmer Biomet and other device makers. This, CNN reporter Manu Raju asserted, raised "new concerns among ethics experts that Price may have inappropriately used inside information while purchasing shares in a company." "When you look at the timeline, this raises significant questions," CNN's Erin Burnett said about the story. Sen. Charles Schumer responded to the CNN report with a call to delay Price's confirmation hearings until the congressional ethics office does a "thorough investigation." It's not as though this sort of self-dealing hasn't gone on in Washington. Peter Schweizer's 2011 book, "Throw Them All Out," was full of such examples, including lucrative stock trades by Nancy Pelosi, John Kerry and other prominent Democrats. Schweizer's book led to the STOCK Act in 2012, which tried to combat insider trading by lawmakers. The rest of the CNN story falls apart with just a cursory look at the facts. First, Price didn't buy those shares. His portfolio was managed by Morgan Stanley, which designed the account's investment strategy and directed all trades. As part of a routine rebalancing of Price's account in early 2016, Morgan Stanley bought 26 shares in Zimmer Biomet, worth a grand total of $2,697.74. (Price's net worth is on the order of $10 million.)..."

Trump has already delivered: Glenn Reynolds:
"So the Trump presidency begins Friday at noon, and though plenty of people have been happy to offer predictions, nobody really knows how it will go.
(If it’s like pretty much every other presidency in my lifetime, the answer is “disappointingly.”)
But Trump’s transition — his “pre-presidency” — is just about over now, so let’s see how that’s gone, and if that offers us any guidance on how things might go in the future.
And, actually, Trump has accomplished some stuff. 
So far, in his pre-presidency, Trump has:
(1) Killed off dynastic politics, at least for now.
If Hillary had won, 4 of the last 5 presidents would have come from two families.
Before the election got underway, when everybody thought it would wind up as Clinton v. Bush, some of my friends from less developed countries were making fun of the United States trading the top slot between two connected families, as something less than an example of developed democracy. And they were right.
That’s not healthy.
(2) Kept Hillary out of the White House...
...(6)  The press. As Politico’s Jack Shafer pretty much admits, the White House Press Corps has been asleep for eight years, serving more as lapdog than watchdog under Obama.
Now, just as I predicted, they’re starting to cover the presidency critically again.
That didn’t happen under Obama, and it probably wouldn’t have happened under Hillary.
But under Trump, the press will be making investigative journalism great again!
Whether Trump can match these accomplishments once he’s actually in office, I don’t know.
It may be that he’s peaked already.
But he’s already outperformed my (admittedly modest) expectations.
I hope he’ll keep doing that in the four (or eight) years to come."

"In our ongoing lawsuit against President Obama’s State Department over the Iran lie, we have received definitive evidence that the Obama Administration intentionally manipulated the public video record of a press briefing – deleting a portion in which it admitted lying to the American people about the Iran nuclear negotiations.

The document – a “sensitive but unclassified” internal review of the matter by the U.S. State Department – contains a section expressly notated: “Evidence of Purposeful Editing.”

The State Department’s own internal evidence shows that a technician in the Public Affairs (PA) office of the State Department “received a request to edit the video"

Waters struggled to find a valid answer, so went with the following remarkable utterance:
“If we discover that Donald Trump or his advocates played a role to help provide strategy — if they’re the ones who came up with ‘Crooked Hillary,’ if they’re the ones who came up with, ‘she’s ill, something’s wrong with her energy,’ and the way that he basically described her during the campaign — I think that is something that would put the question squarely on the table whether or not he should be impeached.”

CNN is dreaming up scenarios whereby the Obama administration can keep power if President-elect Donald Trump and Vice President-elect Mike Pence were blown up as they prepared to take to oath of office.

On the Wednesday, January 18 broadcast of CNN’s The Situation Room, host Wolf Blitzer aired a segment with a chyron featuring the headline “Developing Now.” 
During that “developing” segment, Blitzer and correspondent Brian Todd discussed what would happen if the unthinkable occurred on January 20. 
Blitzer introduced the segment, saying, “What if an incoming president and his immediate successors were wiped out on day one?” and from there, CNN contributor Brian Todd took over to outline the line of succession if an attack blew up the inaugural dais, killing both Trump and Pence..."
