Dec. 22 Arctic Ice Nearly Normal | Science Matters

"The image above, supported by the table later on shows that in December ice has recovered in the central Arctic with open water found only on the margins, as is typical this time of year.
The animation shows progression of ice extent from Dec. 1 to Dec. 22, 2019.
Most dramatic is Hudson Bay on the left filling in over these 3 weeks, from 445k km2 up to 1214k km2, 96% of maximum.
At the top, Chukchi Sea also ices over, from 589k km2 to 933k km2, 97% of max.
Above Chukchi is Bering Sea just starting with fast ice, and Okhotsk upper right growing ice as usual.
The two places lagging behind in ice recovery are Bering Sea and Baffin Bay.
The graph below shows the ice extent growing during December compared to some other years and the 12 year average (2007 to 2018 inclusive)..."

More democrat class-action lawyer extortion!-----The Roundup Stickup - WSJ - World's Breaking News Journal | TDBN |

"Tort lawyers often use the threat of jackpot verdicts to extort settlements from business targets.
But when does a shakedown become criminal extortion?
Last week the federal government charged Timothy Litzenburg for allegedly crossing that legal line.
Mr. Litzenburg, 37, made a name for himself at the Miller Firm in Virginia, where he was part of a team suing Bayer on behalf of a groundskeeper who said the weed killer Roundup caused his cancer.
Trial lawyers profit by taking a hefty chunk of a settlement or damages.
But when Mr. Litzenburg opened his own law firm last year, he allegedly had a different business model in mind.
...Instead of agreeing to Mr. Litzenburg’s alleged offer, the company called federal prosecutors.
Mr. Litzenburg did not respond to our request for comment, but his lawyer told the press last week that his client isn’t guilty and that the charging document may contain inaccuracies.
Mr. Litzenburg will get his day in court, but the entire Roundup litigation is a stickup.
The Environmental Protection Agency and international regulators have conducted extensive research and concluded that glyphosate, the active ingredient in Roundup, isn’t carcinogenic.
That evidence hasn’t stopped three juries from imposing more than $2.4 billion in penalties.
...Mr. Litzenburg may have figured he could get away with his alleged extortion because he’s seen first-hand the damage that junk-science litigation can do regardless of the truth."

Because we want more addicts?

Silencing dissent!-----Aspen newspaper dumps ONLY conservative voice!-----And the Beaton goes on | Power Line

See the source imageAnd the Beaton goes on | Power Line
"The Aspen Times deposited the metaphorical lump of coal in conservative columnist Glenn Beaton’s Christmas stocking this year.
After a seven-year run as the paper’s one and only conservative columnist as well as its most widely read columnist, period, the editors terminated him.
The reason given for Glenn’s abrupt firing was that his “values” conflict with those of the newspaper.
Glenn is a Trump supporter and has been critical of the Democratic candidates for president, as in this November 17 column
As it turns out, Glenn’s Christmas column was his last for the newspaper.
Glenn has forwarded a copy of the message he sent his Aspen Times editor in response to the notice of termination:
See the source imageDave,
I want to thank you, your other editors and Swift Communications for publishing my column the last seven years. It was a privilege for me.
...I was under the impression that the column was successful. That’s despite — or perhaps because — it was outside the comfort zone of many of your readers. You yourself complimented my column on numerous occasions. It obviously generated far more clicks and commentary than other columns. It was sometimes picked up by national outlets such as RealClearPolitics. And other newspapers within Swift often reprinted it.
I was therefore surprised by your email. Unpredicated on any discussion between us, you announced that after seven years my column is contrary to the newspaper’s values. And then you took some parting shots at me and my writing.
I was also disappointed that this endeavor for which I never accepted any payment, and on which I spent literally thousands of hours over the last seven years and never missed a deadline, was terminated in an email rather than in person or at least by telephone. And without even a perfunctory “thank you for your work.”...

Glenn can be reached at theAspenbeat@gmail.com.
We wish him the best as he carries on after his close encounter with the Orwellian face of liberation on the left."

Pollak: Pelosi's Delay, By Itself, Violates the 6th Amendment and Denies Trump a 'Fair Trial' | Breitbart:

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) insists that she will not appoint House managers for President Donald Trump’s impeachment trial, nor transmit the articles of impeachment to the Senate, until she is satisfied that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) will provide a “fair trial.”
Her logic completely inverts the concept of a “fair trial,” which applies to the accused and not to the accuser. However, by her actions, she has already made a fair trial impossible.

Mass Blade Fail Means Early ‘Retirement’ for Hundreds of Danish Wind Turbines – STOP THESE THINGS

Mass Blade Fail Means Early ‘Retirement’ for Hundreds of Danish Wind Turbines – STOP THESE THINGS
  • Offshore wind turbines have the lifespan of a gnat in summer.
"Among the lies pedalled by the wind industry is that wind turbines run on the smell of an oily rag and last for more than 25 years.
The pitch is made to beguile the gullible (read, ‘planning authorities’, ‘politicians’, ‘bankers’ and ‘investors’) into believing that their operating costs can be covered out of petty cash – which fits with the other great line about there being nothing as ‘free’ as the wind.
Mechanical wear and tear, including bearing failure is one of the most common reasons for turbines to be put out of action; and is one of the key factors that accounts for the fact that the ‘economic’ life of wind turbines is 10-12 years, which runs contrary to wild claims about them lasting for “25-plus years” (see our post here and this paper).
Top flight German turbine maker, Siemens booked a €223 million write down (ie loss) in 2014 due to the fact it had to replace bearings in a fleet of turbines that were less than 2 years old.
...The blades at several British Ørsted offshore wind farms must also be repaired after just a few years on the water.
As Jo Nova put it:
We are trying to collect dilute erratic energy, spread over hundreds of square kilometers in windy, salty, and wet conditions with machines that’s blade tips spin at 330km/hour. What could possibly go wrong?

Early retirement in an industry that was never designed to last.

For at least the second significant time, an organization financed by billionaire activist George Soros released material playing a central role in directly fueling the impeachment narrative targeting President Trump.
The news media and Democrats are seizing on emails released to the Soros-funded Center for Public Integrity on Friday showing the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) requested the Pentagon withhold military aid to Ukraine the same day as Trump’s phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

100 scientific papers: CO2 has minuscule effect on climate - WND

100 scientific papers: CO2 has minuscule effect on climate - WND:

  • Increasing evidence destroys primary claim of alarmists

From comments: "Electroverse noted that today's "global warming science" is built on the work of a few climate modelers who claim to have demonstrated that human-derived CO2 emissions are the cause of recently rising temperatures "and have then simply projected that warming forward."

"Within the past few years, more than 50 papers have been added to a compilation of scientific studies that refute the primary claim of climate-change activists that CO2 causes global warming.
The papers compiled by the NoTricksZone website, now numbering 106, find that CO2 has a minuscule effect on climate.
Words such as "negligible" are used to describe CO2's effect on the climate.
A 2019 paper, for example, noted that the "enhancement of the atmospheric greenhouse effect due to the increase in the atmospheric greenhouse gases is often considered as responsible for global warming."
...So, why are so many people panic-stricken, including some who are warning the world has only 12 years left to save itself?
He points to politicians, activists and media.
"Global warming provides them, more than any other issue, with the things they most want," he said.

  • For politicians, it's power and money.
  • For activists, it's money for their organizations and "confirmation of their near-religious devotion to the idea that man is a destructive force acting upon nature."
  • For the media, Lindzen says, it's ideology, money and headlines.

NEVER trust the UN!-----Rebel News - United Nations refugee camps put Christians last for food, shelter, baby items

Rebel News - United Nations refugee camps put Christians last for food, shelter, baby items
"Christians often languish in the United Nations refugee camps in Iraqi Kurdistan.
...The shortcomings in relief efforts are because the United Nations is completely inept but also because the bigotry against Christians doesn't stop at the fence that wraps around the enormous camps.
Christians refugees inside the UN camps can be the last to get food, shelter, diapers for their babies, and clean clothing and bedding.
And their refugee paperwork can mysteriously get “lost”, leaving them no way out..."

The entire impeachment saga has become detached from reality. Here are the facts: Democrats do not have the votes to remove Trump from office. They never will have the votes to remove the president. The point of impeachment is to remove a president. They cannot do that. This process is doomed. By the way, they don’t have the votes because voters don’t support it. The irony is that our democracy is working just fine. Voters support it. After a full month of watching public hearings on impeachment, Democrats have not gained support. They have lost it.

Excellent read!-----We gave our rulers the greatest gift that we can give - Fabius Maximus website

We gave our rulers the greatest gift that we can give - Fabius Maximus website
"Summary: We gave our elites the greatest gift that America can give.
Understanding this, we can make a powerful resolution for the New Year – and change the course of history.
The difference between ordinary epidemics and horrific pandemics is in their frequency, duration, and size.
This applies to social ills as well as diseases.
For example, America has been wracked for generations by an extraordinary series of moral panics.
These are an ordinary illness of societies...
...America has an amazing number of moral panics of extreme size and duration.
See the source imageIn the 1980s and 1990s we had the Satanic Abuse hysteria and Day Care Child Abuse hysteria
Both were huge and long.
These put people in jail after trials that made those of the Salem witches look like models of rationality (they also helped make Janet Reno Attorney General of the USA).
...Now we are in the midst of two moral panics that made those before look penny-ante: RussiaGate and the Climate Emergency.
Although neither has much factual foundation, both continue to burn today, with no end in sight.
...While causes are useful to know, only results matter.
These massive moral panics show that Americans are no longer capable of self-government.
We lack the rationality, balance, and self-discipline necessary for this most difficult and rare of tasks.
We have given our elites the greatest gift we can bestow: proof that we are unfit for democracy.
America is theirs now, until we prove that we can retake control of our affairs – and our destiny.
“Every nation has the government it deserves.”
— Dark words said by Joseph de Maistre (lawyer, diplomat, philosopher) in a letter dated 13 August 1811, published in Lettres et Opuscules.

Canada has a secret program that grants visas to war criminals, terrorists, security threats - National | Globalnews.ca

"...Canadian security officials deemed retired Brig.-Gen. Khaled Saber Abdelhamed Zahw “inadmissible” to Canada because of national security concerns.
An inadmissibility finding would keep most people out of Canada, but it didn’t stop Zahw and his wife from obtaining valid visitor visas from the Canadian embassy in Egypt in April 2015.
...This is because, according to internal government documents obtained by Global News, Canada has a secret program that allows certain “high-profile” foreign nationals who would otherwise be barred from entering the country due to national security concerns, war crimes, human rights violations and organized crime to be granted special “public policy” entry visas so long as it is in Canada’s “national interest.”
But exactly what “national interest” means in relation to this policy and how the government decides who gets this kind of visa is unclear.
That’s because there’s almost no information available about the program, and the government refuses to answer questions..."

VIDEO: Muslim kids in Philly chant 'we will chop off their heads' for Allah
"American Muslim children at one Pennsylvania school celebrated “Ummah Day” (Earth Day) with aspirations of jihad, and it was all caught on video.
The video features students at the Muslim American Society (MAS) Islamic Center in North Philadelphia during a performance on April 17 in which they called out nonbelievers and vowed to chop off their heads for Allah.
A young girl said, “We will chop off their heads, and we will liberate the sorrowful and exalted Al-Aqsa Mosque. We will lead the army of Allah fulfilling His promise, and we will subject them to eternal torture.”

Details revealed in the Justice Department’s inspector general report raise immediate questions about disgraced ex-FBI Director James B. Comey’s repeated decision to push back against requests from President Donald Trump to investigate the origins of the infamous “pee” claim made inside the anti-Trump dossier.
The IG report relates that the FBI not only investigated those salacious claims but divined the origins of the outlandish charges, finding serious sourcing problems and poking major holes in the already wild and unsubstantiated storyline.
