Friday on his nationally syndicated radio show, conservative radio icon Rush Limbaugh revealed behind-the-scenes details of President Donald Trump surprising him with an invitation to the State of the Union Tuesday, where he was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
The bias and censoring impulse that we observe in our news coverage isn’t incidental.
"...The great irony in the media’s hatred, of course, is that his rise would not have been possible without them and their vain attempt to hijack the Republican presidential primary process to ensure Hillary Clinton had the weakest opponent possible. With the 2020 election less than nine months away and with all the laughs silenced and the tears shed, we have enough distance to assess whether the media learned the lessons of 2016. They have not. Alarmingly, it seems as though the only adjustment most media elites are making is to reject even more stridently the traditional standards and principles of their profession. This was perhaps the main takeaway from the Columbia Journalism Review’s “Sleepwalking into 2020,” a recent survey of major media figures examining how they can avoid making the mistakes of 2016 in their coverage of 2020. The results aren’t pretty. Many of the respondents emphasized the need for a bolder rejection of the standards of neutrality and objectivity..." Read all.

An academic's proposal for ending climate change: Human extinction
"...An Australian academic named Patricia MacCormack has a new book out titled, “The Ahuman Manifesto: Activism for the End of the Anthropocene.”
The idea is that the earth would be better off without us and, therefore, it’s time to start an activism whose goal is our own extinction.
“The basic premise of the book is that we’re in the age of the Anthropocene, humanity has caused mass problems and one of them is creating this hierarchal world where white, male, heterosexual and able-bodied people are succeeding, and people of different races, genders, sexualities and those with disabilities are struggling to get that.”
“This is where the idea of dismantling identity politics comes in – they deserve rights not because of what they are, but because they are..." Read all.
"Every week it’s the same story with these people…
And at this point, I’ve just had enough.
Their relentless assault on Canada’s energy industry is based on fabrications, misinformation and outright lies and it’s about time they’re called out for it.
And using First Nations (WHO SUPPORT THE PROJECT) as pawns in their apocalyptic PR campaign, is just the latest iteration of their inexhaustible hypocrisy.
This charade has gone on for far too long.
Canadians deserve to know the truth. Pass this video along to spread the word."
Report: White House Fires Alexander Vindman From NSC:
Lt. Col Alexander Vindman, a key witness in the House Democrats’ partisan impeachment inquiry, was fired from the National Security Council and escorted out of the White House on Friday, CNN first reported.
Vindman’s attorney, David Pressman, confirmed his client’s termination and subsequent removal from the White House.
"The Michigan Department of Education recently asked residents to complete a survey as part of its developing a “strategic education plan.”
But some of the questions resembled a political “push poll” where a specific response is prodded by the pollster.
The survey asked: “For each item below, indicate its level of importance for inclusion as a GOAL in Michigan's UPDATED strategic education plan OR indicate if it shouldn't be a goal but rather an OVERARCHING PRINCIPLE to the ENTIRE plan.”
For example, one section was labeled, “Addressing teacher shortage.”
The wording implies it as a factual statement rather than the Michigan Department of Education’s viewpoint.
Notably, the respected Citizens Research Council of Michigan researched the claim and found it could not be supported.
“The simple fact is that anecdotal and media reporting is not sufficient to establish that a statewide crisis exists,” the CRC report states. “To do so requires a broader examination of the teacher pipeline, something that has not garnered as much attention or analysis by stakeholders, either at the local or state level.”
The government survey also asks about “Providing adequate and equitable funding” for K-12 schools,.. Read all.
From comments:
"We saw "Created Equal: Clarence Thomas in His Own Words" last week.
So it made me really think more than I ever had about his hearings. Seeing him both in the film footage of the hearings and talking about them in the interviews for the film, I am absolutely convinced he was telling the truth, which means, of course that Anita Hill was lying.
And I have to wonder why anyone with any integrity could do such a thing.
I don't really count Blasey-Ford--she is a When I brought up the question in post-film discussion, my husband said that Ms. Hill must have been all in for the cause, too."
"Let me preface my question with a disclaimer...I am not a basketball fan, and knew nothing about Kobe Bryant other than that he was a b-ball star.
My question: Why is it that those who even mention the rape charge against him have to quit their jobs, make apologies, etc...even powerful people like Gayle King?"
"I would say it's simply because that's how totalitarians operate.
You won't see that in response to the Left's treatment of Rush or Sarah or Carrie Prejean, because we're not the totalitarians.
The people who are doing what you're describing are mostly Leftists and Democrats, and it's just a fact that liberalism is a totalitarian ideology and Democrats are totalitarians.

Report: Missing $1.8 Billion in Aid Linked to Corrupt Oligarch Who ‘Bankrolled’ Ukraine Revolution – American Greatness
"In a live video presentation, Thursday night, conservative radio host Glenn Beck accused the Obama administration of funneling $1.8 billion in taxpayer dollars to Ukraine in order to fund the Ukrainian revolution against Russia.
Calling the scandal bigger than the Reagan-era “Iran Contra” scandal, The Blaze founder said that his research team made the discovery while looking into the phone call between President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Zelensky, which spurred the Democrats’ now-failed impeachment charade.
Beck explained that there were “things in the phone call that just didn’t make sense to us” and that prompted them to do a deep dive into what happened to the $1.8 billion in aid that went missing in PrivatBank, the largest commercial bank in Ukraine, which is owned by the corrupt oligarch Ihor Kolomoisky.
After former president Barack Obama made then-Vice President Joe Biden his “point man” in Ukraine, the Veep sent $3 billion in aid to Ukraine, and Burisma Holdings—where his son Hunter sat on the board—was implicated in the disappearance of $1.8 billion of that money..." Read all.
Glenn Beck unveils money laundering scheme linked to Hunter Biden and Burisma - TheBlaze:
During the special, Beck explained that in 2014, $23 million was sent to a bank in London via wire transfer by Mykola Zlochevsky, the head of Burisma. British authorities immediately froze the accounts and began tracing the funds back to their origins.
According to Beck, the evidence suggests that the money had been laundered through the minimally regulated Latvian banking system and transferred into an array of shell companies.
"Not only did Biden not seem to care about his new company being investigated for stealing and laundering money," Beck said, "he also apparently didn't mind that the primary owner of Burisma [Valeriyovych Kolomoyskyi] was on a U.S. visa ban list for — get this — murders and beheadings."
