Every paragraph in the nearly 10,000-word New Yorker article has significant problems.
Taken together, it is just one long string of innuendos insinuating that William Barr is evil.
"Some days it seems as if Attorney General William Barr is one of very few adults in Washington, D.C. ...Partisan media vehemently oppose Barr...mostly for admitting and expressing concern about the Department of Justice’s role in the Russia collusion hoax that undermined the Trump administration.
Nearly the entire political media establishment worked with anonymous sources inside the government and Democratic offices to spread the false conspiracy theory that Trump was a traitor who had colluded with Russia to steal the 2016 election from Hillary Clinton.
...As the media did with Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.), who accurately raised the alarm about Russia collusion story, they have put out a series of attacks and hit pieces on Barr and John Durham, the federal prosecutor Barr appointed to investigate the FBI’s spying on the Trump campaign. The playbook is for the media and Democrats to discredit whomever they decide is a threat.
...One Washington Post headline: “John Durham has a stellar reputation for investigating corruption. Some fear his work for Barr could tarnish it.”
As in, if Durham’s investigation doesn’t match the false narrative set by the Post and other media outlets, they’ll rewrite the story about his reputation. Nice reputation you have, Durham. Shame if something happened to it..." MUST READ ALL!!
"Global economic conditions are really starting to deteriorate quite rapidly. Economists were projecting that Japan’s GDP would shrink by 3.8 percent on an annualized basis in the fourth quarter, but instead it greatly surpassed expectations by plunging 6.3 percent. ...But of course the outlook for China is even worse. At this point, economic activity in China has come to a standstill, and this has thrown global supply chains into a state of chaos. It certainly appears that the entire global economy will shrink during the first quarter, and that will be the very first time that has happened in more than a decade. And if this coronavirus outbreak continues to intensify in the months ahead, the economic consequences are going to be absolutely catastrophic. Even though the experts were anticipating a slowdown in Japan, nobody had any idea that it would be this bad…"
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is under fire for meeting with Iranian leaders on Friday.
Trudeau met with Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif while attending the Munch Security Conference.
Trudeau’s handshake and quick bow were broadcast over Iranian state television and brought condemnation from many as the meeting came roughly a month after Iran shot down a Ukrainian aircraft killing 57 Canadians on board. Trudeau said he was seeking updated information on the crash.
Who is organizing former government employees to the point that they can get 1,100 to sign off on their opinion letter on demand? And all from one department!
If you didn't believe in "the deep state" before. This pretty much seals it."

Obama uses Presidents Day to take credit for Trump economy, draws fierce backlash - WND:
But his attempt to claim credit for the booming economy during President Donald Trump’s three years in office sparked a social media backlash that showed many Americans were all too awake during the abysmal eight years of Obama in the Oval Office.
Obama kicked off festivities with a typically vainglorious post, essentially bragging this it was his actions as president that have led to the current boom the country is enjoying.
Jorge Ramos took Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden to task over the Obama administration’s record of putting migrant kids in cages at the border.
The Univision News anchor critiqued Biden’s immigration record in an interview posted Friday night. Ramos took issue with a statement Biden made in a debate over the summer, where the former vice president falsely claimed that the Obama administration never put kids in cages.

In the hours and days after Gregory Timm plowed his vehicle into a tent of Republican Party volunteers registering voters in the parking lot of Kernan Village Shopping Center in Jacksonville, Florida, national coverage of the event has been alarmingly lacking. ...No teams of reporters were sent to uncover his dark motivations, upbringing, or political leanings. No psychological profiles have been written up, nor have any experts weighed in on how this is a growing threat. These are all tools that would have been used by an army of reporters if Timm had been a Trump supporter plowing into Democratic Party volunteers registering voters....There would have been a week’s worth of cable news coverage, several nationwide protests, and someone calling for a national conversation by now had the victims of Timm’s attack been supporting anyone but Trump.
It’s simply a fact that the journalistic class for the most part sees Republicans as deplorables whose death, silencing, or oppression is largely to be approved of, or at least not made a big deal of. This is why the deplorable class, in turn, regards the press as enemies of the people. Because they’re the people the press is inimical to. Flashback: Bernie Bro James T. Sean Hannity voiced his frustration with former South Carolina Republican Rep. Trey Gowdy over whether or not those caught up in FISA abuse would face jail time.
Gowdy joined Hannity for a segment of his Fox News show Friday and said that, while he believed those responsible for abusing the FISA court would ultimately be held accountable, he wasn’t sure that they would all go to jail.

Global warming stopped 16 years ago, reveals Met Office report quietly released... and here is the chart to prove it
The figures reveal that from the beginning of 1997 until August 2012 there was no discernible rise in aggregate global temperatures
This means that the ‘pause’ in global warming has now lasted for about the same time as the previous period when temperatures rose, 1980 to 1996
The world stopped getting warmer almost 16 years ago, according to new data released last week. The figures, which have triggered debate among climate scientists, reveal that from the beginning of 1997 until August 2012, there was no discernible rise in aggregate global temperatures. This means that the ‘plateau’ or ‘pause’ in global warming has now lasted for about the same time as the previous period when temperatures rose, 1980 to 1996. Before that, temperatures had been stable or declining for about 40 years..." Read all.
How to Cope with Trump-Era Depression – Kirschner's Korner:
"If you care about animals, people, and the planet, you’ve likely battled feelings of depression during the Trump presidency.
His cruelty, immaturity, lying, law-breaking, and harmful policies invade our daily routines and shock us every day.
Every headline makes our heart race, and we feel sick that he remains in office. We wonder what happened to our fellow Americans that they would elevate such a bad person to a position of power. We thought we shared a common set of values with Republicans and could at least agree that Trump’s sociopathic behavior, sordid past, and lack of experience would disqualify him from office.
We wonder how Republicans continue to support someone who is so antithetical to all that is good in our country.
We worry they don’t realize they’re being hoodwinked and we worry about the future.
The psychological impact of Trump’s presidency is real and lasting..." Read all.
