Denver Broncos Declare If You Are Not Virtuous Enough To Support Their Antifa Politics Then Get Lost… | The Last Refuge
"The NFL has been moving further and further toward the political left for several years.
Many NFL players and teams openly castigate their fans and denigrate anyone who doesn’t conform to their political correctness.
Overall, the NFL has become a toxic stew of identity politics and divisive intollerance.
However, the Denver Broncos are taking division up a notch today by declaring if their fans do not stand with their brand of virtue signaling politics, then you stand against them.
(Official Team Position Source:  If you ain’t with us, you against us.”)
Quite a remarkable position.
Apparently, in the endless quest to be the most virtuous, the team has decided to eliminate over half of their potential support base.
Against the recent pressure upon NFL quarterback Drew Brees to apologize for supporting the U.S.A flag; it appears the NFL is a lost cause.
Let the market decide."

It's our education failure, stupid!

Every Democrat in the Senate has refused to acknowledge the violence caused by antifa throughout the protests and riots that have occurred since the death of George Floyd.
The Daily Caller contacted every Senate Democrat asking if they would consider legislation to label the group a terrorist organization. Each office was given over 24 hours to respond to the question. The group has been participating in riots since Floyd died while in police custody after an officer put his knee into the back of his neck for over eight minutes while he was handcuffed and on the ground.

There might not be as many microplastic fibres in oceans as we feared | New Scientist

See the source imageThere might not be as many microplastic fibres in oceans as we feared | New Scientist:
"Most of the microfibres polluting our oceans – which have long been assumed to be plastic – are actually natural fibres like cotton and wool.
But we don’t yet know whether these fibres pose the same health risks to marine organisms.
Textile microfibres are major contributors to marine pollution because they are readily shed from clothes during general wear and tear and laundering, and drift through the air or wash down drains into waterways.
...Previous ocean surveys have tended to count all microfibres as plastic, based on the assumption that natural fibres like cotton and wool biodegrade too quickly to persist in marine environments...

‘Abolish The Police’ Is A Slogan For The Destruction Of America

‘Abolish The Police’ Is A Slogan For The Destruction Of America:
  • Calls to defund or abolish the police are not about restoring an open and liberal society, they are about tearing it down and seizing power.
"If you thought “abolish the police”—or it’s more moderate iteration, “defund the police”—was just some asinine slogan blue-check journalists, woke academics, and pandering public officials post on Twitter to show they support the Black Lives Matter movement, then you’re not keeping up with the revolution.
This week Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, announced the city would be slashing the police department’s budget by $100 to $150 million and instead “reinvesting in black communities and communities of color.”
The cuts to the LA police will make up the bulk of $250 million in funds to be reallocation to “end racism in our city,” Garcetti said.
How exactly those millions will be spent remains unclear, but the mayor has in mind investments “in jobs, in education, and healing.”

"...In a June 2 Facebook post, the student government, the Associated Students of MSU (ASMSU), shared a website with “Educate Yourself” material.
The post stated, “Black Lives Matter. WE ALL have a part in this movement of change.”
In the resource they shared, looting is called “one of the most righteous anti-white supremacist tactics.”
An article titled “In Defense of Looting,” claims the ruling class defends their basis of power, property, by saying “looting is violent and non-political."
A similar  article, “Forget ‘Looting.’ Capitalism is the Real Robbery” claims white supremacy, capitalism, and government “work together to violently repress people who defend Black life.”...

The request comes despite Frey openly admitting that city leaders allowed violent protesters to destroy the Minneapolis Police Department's third precinct building.

Editorial: Whitmer's sweet deal for state workers bad for taxpayers
"...for thousands of state workers, occasional furlough days are turning into a pretty sweet deal.
The shutdown shouldn't be a windfall for state workers who have kept much of their pay, while also seeing much of their workload drop with everyone stuck at home the last two months.
Last month, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer announced that more than 31,000 state employees would take two furlough days per pay period through July 25, “saving” the state about $80 million.
When you delve into the details, however, it’s not a good deal for those taxpayers who aren’t on the state payroll.
Many of these state workers will be making more money while taking their three-day weekends since they can tap the additional $600 a week in federal unemployment assistance, which was part of the CARES Act...

CNN host Chris Cuomo is a law school graduate and licensed attorney — but he apparently does not know what the First Amendment says.
Speaking on his show Tuesday, Cuomo rebuked those who "see the protests as the problem" and demanded that riot critics show him where it says demonstrators must protest peacefully.
"Now too many see the protests as the problem. No, the problem is what forced your fellow citizens to take to the streets: persistent, poisonous inequities and injustice," Cuomo said. "And please, show me where it says protesters are supposed to be polite and peaceful. Because I can show you that outraged citizens are what made the country what she is and led to any major milestone. To be honest, this is not a tranquil time."
