Gone With The Wind: Power Shortages Are Becoming The New Normal | Climate Dispatch
Von Spakovsky & Smith: Trump and supporters wage legal battles across US to defeat Biden — here’s a rundown
- First, gathering the evidence of misconduct, fraud and other problems that may have compromised an election is extremely difficult and expensive. As an Indiana state court pointed out in an election fraud case in 2004, “the time constraints that govern election contests, primarily designed to serve important interests and needs of election officials and the public interest in finality, simply do not work well in those elections where misconduct” is widespread and multifaceted.
- Second, courts are usually very reluctant to overturn election results even with substantial evidence of possible problems that raise questions about the legitimacy of the outcome...Read all.

Save our Democracy!
ROGER KIMBALL: Save our Democracy!
Trump presumably will fight it in court. But I think he should take a page from his own playbook and hold rallies the contested spots over the next couple of days.
I suspect that such Save Our Democracy rallies would attract tens of thousands of people, just as Trump’s campaign rallies did these past weeks. There is no way that Sleepy Joe Biden could compete with them. Not only would they dramatize the extent and enthusiasm of Trump’s support, they would also serve as a salutary reminder that Trump, unlike so many Republican politicians, is willing to fight to assure a free, open, and fair election. They would have the additional attraction of driving the Left even more beyond the pale than than they already are. It’s not nice to take pleasure in the sufferings of others, but I am willing to make an exception in the case of the anguish such rallies would cause among the people who have spent the last four years trying to destroy the president and anyone who came into his orbit.
Save Our Democracy! It has a ring to it. I hope team Trump will consider organizing a bunch of them now, today...Read all.
REMINDER: Sorry, there will be no return to normalcy under Joe Biden
Trump was big on the national stage long before he was president. Why would he go away after the election is over? He’ll still have tens of millions of (probably angry) followers, deep pockets and a huge megaphone.
There has already been some talk of Trump starting his own television network to rival Fox News, and/or his own social media platform — the latter made more plausible by the heavy censorious hands of those running Twitter and Facebook — and I suspect that Trump would regard a 2020 loss as a setback, not a defeat. Grover Cleveland came back to win a second term after losing the White House, Trump might reason. Why not me? He’ll probably hold campaign-style rallies around the country starting right after the election.
Democrats want to get rid of Trump because they think it will get rid of Trump voters.
But they’ll still be around no matter what happens in the election, and they have legitimate grievances — lots of them — with the way the country has been run...--Posted by Glenn Reynolds"...Read all!

Facebook censorship board is comprised mostly of foreign nationals with ties to George Soros
"The recently appointed Facebook oversight board tasked with deciding which posts get blocked from the world’s most popular social networking website is stacked with leftists and foreign nationals who will be functionally regulating the speech rights of American citizens in the United States.
András Sajó was one of the ECHR judges in an Italian case (Latusi v. Italy) that ruled unanimously that the display of a crucifix in public schools in Italy violates the European Convention on Human Rights.
...At least ten other members of the censorship board are connected to leftist groups tied to Soros — groups that have directly benefitted from his funding commitments and donations...Long list of anti-Americans. Read all!"

"IN COMMUNIST CHINA’S FACE:
My latest Creators Syndicate column.
…the Trump administration’s American domestic economic revival and its hard-nosed trade agreements with China demonstrated that the U.S. could and would counter China’s economic hegemony. Washington used legal, financial and diplomatic instruments to penalize Chinese intellectual-property theft. It also targeted Chinese spying, which penalized lucrative Chinese companies like Huawei linked to espionage.
