"MSNBC anchor Nicolle Wallace said Wednesday on her show “Deadline” that former President Donald Trump was “inciting violent extremism” by meeting with the mother and husband of Ashli Babbitt, the rioter who an officer inside the Capitol fatally shot on January 6.
Wednesday after the meeting, Trump put out a statement saying Babbitt was “murdered at the hands of someone who should never have pulled the trigger of his gun,” adding, “We know who it is.”

"DENVER (CBS4) – Officials with the Colorado Rockies say they investigated claims that a fan yelled a racial slur at a Florida Marlins player on Sunday at Coors Field, and found it was a mistake. The fan was heard shouting during the ninth inning of the Rockies 13-8 win in Denver, when Lewis Brinson was at bat, but Rockies officials say the man was actually yelling at the mascot.

Aug. 10 (UPI) -- More than two-thirds of calories consumed by children and teens in the United States come from ultra-processed foods, a study published Tuesday by JAMA found.
- ...Ready-to-eat or ready-to-heat meals including takeout foods, as well as frozen pizza and burgers, accounted for 11% of caloric intake among those age 2 to 19 in 2018, up from 2% in 1999, the researchers said.
- Packaged sweet snacks and desserts made up nearly 13% of the calories consumed by this age group in 2018, an increase from just under 11% in 1999, according to the researchers.
..Ultra-processed foods include frozen foods, sugary snacks and beverages, and takeout or delivery meals that often are high in added sugar, sodium and carbohydrates and low in fiber, protein, vitamins and minerals, according to the American Heart Association....Read all.

- Nor was it about guaranteeing the right of rebellion against an unjust authority, a right that the Declaration of Independence had clearly claimed on behalf of Britain’s North American colonies.
- Nor was it about assuring the states that the federal government would not be so overweening as to stop them from organizing men to defend against threats from Indians and European powers on much of what was still contested, frontier territory.
