"The Muslim call to prayer will soon be heard regularly in parts of Minneapolis.
Minneapolis mosques can now publicly broadcast the adhan, or call to prayer, over loudspeakers without acquiring a permit and so long as they abide by the city's amplified noise ordinance.
...Council Member Jamal Osman announced this week that mosques will be allowed to play the adhan several times between the hours of 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. daily and all year round...

“The Floor Was Shaking” – Yale Law School Speaker Disruption Worse Than Originally Reported
"The disruption of a debate at Yale Law School by students protesting the appearance of Kristen Waggoner of Alliance Defending Freedom continues to reverberate...

...I would not downplay the role of faculty and administrators.
...In almost every law school attack on speakers and law professors we have covered, faculty and administrators are as much a part of the problem as the students.
It’s a culture of intolerance and a sick symbiotic relationship in which students, faculty, and administrators feed off each other...Read all!

Climate Change Is About Control, Stupid – Not The Environment

Climate Change Is About Control, Stupid – Not The Environment
"The apocalyptic talk about climate change is nothing more than a
diversion tactic
by the government, the radical Left, and their mainstream press.
  • The many laws, the trillions in federal appropriations and tax credits, and the unworkable proposals to address climate change will not slow the rise of the oceans or heal the planet.
  • Lobbying for more climate regulation is to enhance the power of the authoritarian state, not protect the environment.
  • The radical Left has the world obsessing over whether we have 10, 20, or 50 years before the eve of destruction.
  • The hysteria gives the government the excuse it needs for more controls over the energy we use, the products we purchase, the homes we live in, the food we eat, and since the pandemic when we can leave our homes.
  • However, the data supporting the climate studies are rarely made public so that scientists can test the reproducibility of the studies...Read all.

Joe Rogan Blasts SNL for Turning Into Woke Crap - Louder With Crowder

Joe Rogan took a trip down memory lane many of us oldhead comedy fans have had. When "SNL" used to be funny or, to use more precise language, when "Saturday Night Live" used to be funny. You wouldn't know it if you stay awake in 2022, but "Saturday Night Live" used to be must-watch TV long before it turned into the woke crap we see before us now.

Fun read of the good old days.-----When the Oscars got the Best Picture winner wrong

"The Oscars are coming up this weekend and while I probably won’t watch the show because it’s often insufferable, I do try to see some of the Best Picture nominees so I can form my own opinion about them.
...Back in 2016 the Washington Post published a piece about all of the Best Picture winners since 1976 along with their picks for the films that should have won
This week they updated that.
I spent some time looking over their list and I agree with some of their choices.
For instance, 1979:

Nominees: All That Jazz, Apocalypse Now, Breaking Away, Kramer vs. Kramer, Norma Rae

Best Picture winner: Kramer vs. Kramer

The actual best picture: Apocalypse Now

What a bonkers roster. “Kramer vs. Kramer” is a gorgeously spare, simple movie about divorce and parenting — can you believe that 105 minutes of talking without CGI or explosions was not only the Oscar winner but the box-office champ for 1979? But it’s hard not to love every shot of “Apocalypse Now,” which routinely makes Top-10 lists of the best films ever. If this lineup were voted on today, “Apocalypse” would win in a landslide...Read all.

'You are a disgrace': European MPs trash Justin Trudeau to his face during Brussels visit over 'trampling' of Freedom Convoy protests - TheBlaze

The MEP said Canada was once a symbol of the modern world but has recently become a "symbol of civil rights violation" under Trudeau’s "quasi-liberal boot."

“We watched how you trample women with horses, how you block bank accounts of single parents so they can’t even pay their children’s education and medicine, that they can’t pay utilities, mortgages for their homes," he charged, adding, "To you, these may be liberal methods, for many citizens of the world, it is a dictatorship of the worst kind."

Important read!-----Trans-Lysenkoism - by Peter Venetoklis

Trans-Lysenkoism - by Peter Venetoklis
"...Concurrently, DeSantis roiled the waters when he rejected transgender swimmer Lia Thomas's victory in the NCAA women's 500 yard freestyle finals, recognizing the runner up (Emma Weyant, a Florida native) as the "rightful" winner.
This engendered the usual screams of trans-phobia.
No matter that every rational person knows that biologically male athletes competing against biologically female ones is fundamentally unfair.
Growing up with XY chromosomes and male hormones coursing through your body results in different skeletal structure, greater musculature, and greater aerobic capacity than growing up with XX chromosomes and female hormones.
No amount of hormone suppression treatment will undo these differences.
...Yet, here we are, and it's the result not of a broad "tolerance and acceptance" movement...but of a small subset of activists, who have made it so clear that they want to wipe out our natural cultural understanding that men and women are different that they've alienated former allies in the feminist and the LGB movements.
...This all echoes the Soviets' Lysenkoism of nearly a century ago...Read all!

"Whenever the White House says it is working on a plan that would transform a vital part of the U.S. economy, and that the administration is doing so with the “highest urgency,” it should go without saying that the press should pay close attention to what’s going on.
  • Even more importantly, the press should eagerly and comprehensively inform the public of the potential risks associated with such a proposal.
  • Unfortunately, that’s not happening today, and the effects of the media’s negligence could reverberate for decades to come.
...But there is an even more important part of the EO: President Biden has instructed the federal government and Federal Reserve to lay the groundwork for a potential new U.S. currency, a digital dollar...Read all!!!

A large solar storm could knock out the power grid and the internet – an electrical engineer explains how
  • On Sept. 1 and 2, 1859, telegraph systems around the world failed catastrophically. The operators of the telegraphs reported receiving electrical shocks, telegraph paper catching fire, and being able to operate equipment with batteries disconnected
...What the world experienced that day, now known as the Carrington Event, was a massive geomagnetic storm
These storms occur when a large bubble of superheated gas called plasma is ejected from the surface of the sun and hits the Earth. This bubble is known as a coronal mass ejection.
...The Carrington Event of 1859 is the largest recorded account of a geomagnetic storm, but it is not an isolated event.
  • ...Today, a geomagnetic storm of the same intensity as the Carrington Event would affect far more than telegraph wires and could be catastrophic.
  • With the ever-growing dependency on electricity and emerging technology, any disruption could lead to trillions of dollars of monetary loss and risk to life dependent on the systems.
...A geomagnetic storm three times smaller than the Carrington Event occurred in Quebec, Canada, in March 1989. The storm caused the Hydro-Quebec electrical grid to collapse...Read all!
