“Green” Hydrogen Subsidies Are 1,900x Larger Than What’s Given To Nuclear - Robert Bryce - Substack

Hydrogen producers can get up to $25B per EJ in federal tax credits! That’s 9x solar, 47x wind, & 1,800x hydrocarbons
The late Charlie Munger ... was the vice chairman at Berkshire Hathaway, the conglomerate headed by his friend and colleague, Warren Buffett. Munger, a native of Omaha, had many pithy sayings, but among his most memorable was: “Show me the incentives, and I’ll show you the outcome.”
Whenever you wonder why the U.S. isn’t building more nuclear power plants and is instead lavishing hundreds of billions of dollars on politically popular forms of alt-energy, remember Munger’s line.
As I noted in May in “The H Stands For Hype,” few segments of the energy sector have gotten more media hype in recent years than hydrogen.
  • That hype has gone into overdrive because of fat government subsidies.
The German government has earmarked some $14.2 billion for investment in about two dozen hydrogen projects.
I continued:

Here in the U.S., the 45V tax credit in the Inflation Reduction Act provides lucrative subsidies for hydrogen production. Big business is lining up to get those subsidies. In February, energy giant Exxon Mobil warned that it might cancel a proposed hydrogen project at its Baytown, Texas refinery depending on how the Treasury Department interpreted the “clean” hydrogen rules in the IRA. Regardless of tax credits and subsidies, making and using hydrogen is a high-entropy, high-cost process. As a friend in the oil refining business told me last year, “If you like $6-per-gallon gasoline, you’re gonna love $14-to-$20-per-gallon hydrogen.”…Hydrogen is insanely expensive, in energy terms, to manufacture. It takes about three units of energy, in the form of electricity, to produce two units of hydrogen energy. In other words, the hydrogen economy requires scads of electricity (a high quality form of energy) to make a tiny molecule that’s hard to handle, difficult to store, and expensive to use.

Why not fix it now??!!

The Obama Effect - American Thinker

The problem for us is that the string puppets Obama handpicked make Stalin, Lenin, and Karl Marx seem like harmless frat boys. - By Jeannie DeAngelis
  • A coincidence is, “the occurrence of events that happen at the same time... but seem to have some connection.”
  • That seems to be the case whenever Barack Obama is in close relationship with left-leaning world leaders or directly involved in an American election. ..
  • The problem for us is that the string puppets Obama handpicked make Stalin, Lenin, and Karl Marx seem like harmless frat boys.
In addition to election interference, this is the ultimate blueprint:
Alinsky’s rules attempt to stifle free speech, individual rights, new ideas, and any critique of Marxist (Trotskyist) ideology, gagging all opposition with consensus methods, political correctness, critical race theory, censorship, intimidation, and, finally, violence. ‘They have the guns and therefore we are for peace and reformation through the ballot. When we have the guns then it will be through the bullet…’
America is within a hair’s breadth of accomplishing all those goals...

LEAKED video footage Planned Parenthood selling organs worse | Blaze Media

“So Kamala had no problem helping out Planned Parenthood when she was AG in California, but you know what? We should come to expect that from her because when she was DA of San Francisco in 2010, she very strangely gave this interview where she was just like, ‘I love having the power to ruin people's lives’ — like David Daleiden, I guess,” says Sara, playing Harris’ 2010 interview.

“The power I have as a prosecutor is that with the swipe of my pen, I can charge someone with a misdemeanor,” she said, “and by virtue of that swipe of my pen, you will have to go to a courthouse and stand in line; you will have to come out-of-pocket and hire an attorney; you may get arrested for a few hours; you will be embarrassed in your community; you will miss time coming onto the Google campus — all because with the swipe of my pen, I've charged you with a crime, which I may choose to dismiss two weeks later.

OLD AND BUSTED: “Democracy Dies in Darkness.”
The New Hotness? Why did a Washington Post reporter urge the White House to censor Trump?
...Earlier this week, a Washington Post reporter took it to the next level by openly suggesting the government get in on the game.
During a White House press briefing, the Washington Post’s Cleve Wootson asked if the government has a “role” in tackling “misinformation” and if President Joe Biden planned to “intervene” in Trump’s X Space.
“I think that misinformation on Twitter is not just a campaign issue.
It’s a — you know, it’s an America issue. What role does the White House or the president have any sort of stopping that or stopping the spread of that or sort of inter — intervening in that.
Some of that was about campaign misinformation, but you know it’s a wider thing, right?” Wootson asked....

Ukraine Will Spend $20 Billion in US Aid to Build Green Energy David Strom

This is, of course, totally insane. Imagine how easy it would be to destroy an entire field of solar panels with a few artillery shells, not to mention the problem of having to build backup power plants to run when the wind doesn't blow, and the sun doesn't shine.
  • I, for one, am excited that in the midst of a U.S.-funded war with Russia, Ukraine has committed to spend $20 billion it doesn't have to green up its energy sector.
  • Will all that diesel fuel being expended to run tanks and transport trucks, the country really has to offset its carbon emissions.
  • What I don't yet know is whether Ukraine will close down farms, transition to insect protein, and build 15-minute cities to save planet Earth as Ukrainians get slaughtered on the battlefield.
  • Perhaps announcements regarding these other Gaia-friendly measures will come soon. Or, perhaps they can go all Soylent Green on us using battlefield casualties...

Kamala Harris Copies One of Trump's Signature Campaign Promises, But Her Past Betrays Her

Vice President Kamala Harris has an authenticity problem that would disqualify her from high office anywhere outside the Democratic Party.

For instance, according to The Washington Post, the 2024 Democratic presidential nominee held a campaign rally Saturday in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she copied one of former President Donald Trump’s more recent ideas by pledging to “eliminate taxes on tips for service and hospitality workers.”

On the social media platform Truth Social, Trump responded by reminding Harris of an inconvenient truth.

Biden – Harris plan to expedite removal of illegal migrant families was a colossal failure - Kevin Haggerty

Drawing another curtain back on the Biden-Harris administration’s border crisis, a new report revealed how dramatically bragged-about enforcement had failed.
  • In the waning days of Title 42, the Trump administration policy that used COVID as cause to expedite the removal of foreign nationals who’d illegally entered the country,
  • President Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security assured the border wasn’t open and eligible illegals would continue to be ejected “in a matter of days.”
  • Now, according to a report from the New York Post, of the roughly 24,000 aliens that had been placed into the Family Expedited Removal Program since May 2023, a vast majority of the over 22,000 had been permitted to remain in the United States...

#1 This day 1974-----The Night Chicago Died

The modern pentathlon is getting too soft - that's why people aren't watching it.

Michael Smith - It took me a minute because I had not seen the modern pentathlon in a couple of Olympic cycles.
Boy, they have really soy-boyed it.
The pentathlon was launched in 1912 with skills important to soldiering. It was designed to simulate the experience of a 19th-century cavalry soldier behind enemy lines: he must ride an unfamiliar horse, fight enemies...they condensed it from five days to one, and includes these skills:
- Swimming: This is a single 200 meter freestyle swim
- Laser-run: ...Athletes run 3000 meters, stopping four times to shoot at targets with a laser pistol...
  • Here’s what I propose:
- Swimming: Loaded with a fifty-pound rucksack, the competitors must trudge through a course designed after a Florida swamp, swim an alligator infested river...
- Swordsmanship: A fight to first blood draw with cavalry sabers. Contestants to be ranked by severity of injury or death...
- Riding: Athletes must enter a paddock with wild horses, lasso one, saddle break it and ride it one hundred meters across a finish line...
- Shooting: Each athlete is issued a flintlock pistol, lead shot and a horn of black powder. They each contestant must run a one hundred meter fenced in lane from the start to the shooting station. Three seconds after the starting gun is fired, an angry Grizzly bear with a taste for humans is released from a cage at the starting line...
- EOD Challenge: the athlete is faced with an improvised explosive device with three minutes on the timer and must disarm it. No need for ranking here, the winner will be obvious.
I think my version is more watchable.

Eco-logic!
