Professor flees Yale, U.S. for Canada due to ‘rise in fascism’

The seemingly perpetually angry philosophy professor who once exclaimed “fuck those assholes” to those who differed with his views on homosexuality is leaving Yale and his country — because fascism is coming. - Dave Huber - Associate Editor
PBS and NPR this past week gave Jason Stanley wide berth to air his complaints about the still-fledgling Trump second term, during which he compared the current situation to “Jewish intellectuals fleeing Nazi Germany in the 1930s.”...
“[T]he federal government, this fascist regime, has figured out a way to target funds to universities,” Stanley told NPR. “And what we’re seeing are democratic institutions across the United States, including universities, capitulate to these demands.”
Stanley said fighting antisemitism was an “entirely fake reason” to pull funding from universities, and claimed it’s actually increasing anti-Jewish sentiment...

Daniel Jupp - If you are on my friends list and bleat and whine about the poor Palestinians I have made my position clear lots of times.

But since some choose to quote Hamas declarations of casualty rates while rhetorically asking why the Palestinians are the ‘bad guys’ I’ll share my response here:
“Yes the Palestinians are the fucking bad guys
  • because they START every single round of violence,
  • because their death rates are increased by them using their own people as human shields,
  • because they try to maximise civilian casualties including their own for terror (Israeli civilian casualties) and propaganda (Palestinian civilian casualties),
  • because they fire thousands of rockets and Israeli casualties are only lowered by the protective measures Israel takes that people like you call tyranny and apartheid.
  • They are the fucking bad guys because they engage in the most brutal, vicious, depraved, animalistic evil imaginable. They are the fucking bad guys because they rape women and children and torture children to death while laughing.
  • It’s not about the numbers, it’s about who is responsible for the numbers and who behaves like filthy disgusting animals.
And people who believe Hamas numbers while ignoring the filthy disgusting behaviour of the Palestinians are scum.
I hope that clarifies it a bit for you.”...

George Soros and radical groups funding anti-Trump protests | Blaze Media

George Soros and radical groups funding anti-Trump protests | Blaze Media:

One of these groups is called “Indivisible.”

“Indivisible is sort of the ringleader in a lot of this, and their biggest refrain that they always are pumping through the airwaves is that they are a grassroots organization, that they are people-funded and people-powered,” Winters explains.

“But if you dig into their financials,” she continues, “from the 990 files, where you can see, again by design, not exactly who’s funding them, but overwhelmingly the majority of the funds that support this group come from big dark money-type foundations or philanthropic organizations.”

Melting glaciers confirm modern warming predated increases of CO2 - CO2 Coalition

Melting glaciers and rising sea levels are the direct result of warming.  - Fact #11 - Temperature
Download This Resource
The evidence shows that the global warming causing the rise in sea levels and the retreat of the glaciers began long before any significant man-made CO2 increases could have influenced either.
Both are directly the result of the natural warming that began in the late 17th-century.
Glaciers could not begin to retreat and seas to rise until the atmosphere had warmed sufficiently to allow summer ice loss to exceed winter accumulations.
  • That glacial “tipping point” occurred around 1800, with full-on retreat by 1850.
Thus began more than 150 years of worldwide glacial retreat and sea-level rise that continues at about the same rate today as it was 150 years ago...

Why people are 'missing the point' on Trump's tariffs | Blaze Media

Why people are 'missing the point' on Trump's tariffs | Blaze Media:

The mainstream media have been in a state of doom and gloom over President Trump’s tariffs, but as usual, they’re missing the point.

And while the mainstream media fearmonger over the tariffs, Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts has faith that Trump’s plan will work.

“Just to be really objective about this, there will be an economic quarter or two where things are choppy. The treasury secretary has said as much, because what Trump is trying to do is reset the world economic order,” Roberts tells Sara Gonzales on “Sara Gonzales Unfiltered.”

Stay the course on tariffs - Don Surber

The Donald is saving us from imports and the federal government.
Billionaire Bill Ackman’s feet got cold over tariffs. He’s calling for a 90-day delay on imposing tariffs on the world because the Dow fell precipitously. He wants to avoid Trump taking the blame for a global economic meltdown.
He tweeted late Sunday...“The President has an opportunity on Monday to call a time out and have the time to execute on fixing an unfair tariff system.
“Alternatively, we are heading for a self-induced, economic nuclear winter, and we should start hunkering down.
“May cooler heads prevail.”
I don’t know about that.
Countries are lining up trying to cut a deal on tariffs.
The only people challenging Trump today are on cable TV...

SHOCK: Terrorism How-To Guide Being Distributed to American College Students By Ward Clark

Just when we assume things couldn't get worse, along comes Worse to remind us that we should be careful about assuming.
American college students, at Columbia University and, presumably, other institutions as well.
This little blood-red guide, we note, was produced by a group that celebrated the Hamas Oct. 7th attacks on Israel. It contains tips like:

Step 1 - Create a cell. A cell is an autonomous group taking actions without detection as part of Palestine Action Underground...

And then what is this cell to do? Read on:

Step 2 - Pick a Target. A starting point for research is to make sure your (sic) using a secure browser when looking into complicit companies.

And here's the goal:

Step 5 - Take Action. Adrenaline and nerves will be pumping through you at the same time. This is normal. Make sure you run through your plans right before taking action another time, to make sure everyone is on the same page. Then go for it.

Here's the cover; you see what we mean by "little red pamphlet."...

We've been warned!-----The Looming Electricity Crunch Facing The US

Major US grid operators are raising the alarm about the looming capacity crunch. - From NOT A LOT OF PEOPLE KNOW THAT - Paul Homewood
“Six major U.S. grid operators have raised a unified alarm about an impending capacity crunch, warning that the pace and scale of explosive demand—including from data centers, manufacturing, and electrification—poses a precarious misalignment with accelerating generator retirements and transmission constraints...
All of the ten regional grids seem to be facing the same problems of increasing demand and closure of dispatchable capacity...
The US still relies on gas and coal for half of its power:

The US grid has been neglected for many years now, all in the naive belief that reliable coal and gas generation can be replaced with wind and solar...

The looming crunch may be even worse than the grid operators think.

European Union offers to remove all tariffs on industrial goods after Trump demands reparations from Europe | Blaze Media

European Union offers to remove all tariffs on industrial goods after Trump demands reparations from Europe | Blaze Media:

President Donald Trump issued an economic threat to European nations as the U.S. trade war continued to roil global markets, and European officials responded by offering industrial concessions Monday. The president told reporters Sunday that Europe needed to pay the U.S. for past grievances in order to alleviate the tariffs he imposed on them. The stock market has been in turmoil since Wednesday, when he announced across-the-board economic sanctions against various nations.

Transportation secretary says feds won't invest if cities 'don't clean up' act * WorldNetDaily * by Hailey Gomez, Daily Caller News Foundation:

"Our position is, if you don't clean up your act, we're not going to invest in you. If you do it well and you have beautiful trains that are on time, that are safe, we'll make those investments as taxpayers. But if you don't, we're going to pull the money and we'll put it somewhere else," Duffy added.

2 Wonderful stories!-----The High School Kids from Kansas Who Found the Female Schindler - Intellectual Takeout

Sendler’s story made history come alive for a handful of girls from Kansas who learned to apply the lessons of the past to their present struggles. - Annie Holmquist
...a handful of girls from Uniontown High School who introduced the world to Irena Sendler, the female version of Oskar Schindler, of Schindler’s List fame...
As student Megan Felt explains, Sendler’s name intrigued the girls in her history project group.
Yet despite extensive searching, they were unable to find out much about her, due to Communist suppression of the story after the war. Megan Felt remembers:
“Irena’s story was very much a light in my life, something that gave me encouragement that I need as a 14-year-old, that if she could walk into the Warsaw ghetto every day, not even being 5 feet tall, walking pass the German officers with a child sedated in a gunny sack over her shoulder saying, ‘They are dead from disease, I’m going to go get rid of the body,’ what if the baby would have whimpered a cry? She would have been shot immediately along with the child. … So, Irena’s story, I think very much impacted all of us in a very special, deep way.”
In other words, Sendler’s story made history come alive for a handful of girls from Kansas who learned to apply the lessons of the past to their present struggles.
That’s a rare occurrence these days.
  • Many Americans have become convinced that history is no longer relevant to modern life, a fact reflected in the scores of American high school seniors, which show that 88 percent are not proficient in history.
  • Is it time we made the past more of a priority in today’s public schools?

Cutting emissions: hairdressers and barbers will be trained to talk about climate with customers | Irish Independent

Can I get a cut, blow-dry and a crash course in climate please?
University College Cork is overseeing the project and Dr Maria Kirrane of the university’s office of sustainability said the idea was to tap into places where chat flowed naturally...
The participants will also practice how to counteract some of the myths and misunderstandings that people have about climate change and how to help turn negative attitudes into positive action...
The Brush With Climate scheme is being supported by a €63,000 grant from the Research Ireland Discover Programme funded by the Department of Education.

'Equity' Cameras Go Live in California - If You're Not Low Income, Prepare to Pay

'Equity' Cameras Go Live in California - If You're Not Low Income, Prepare to Pay:

San Francisco launched a controversial new traffic camera program through which residents with low incomes or receiving government assistance will receive substantial discounts in fines. City authorities turned on 33 new cameras last month, according to KABC-TV in Los Angeles, yet they will not give out citations for the first two months of the program. Instead, drivers will receive warnings during that time. Once citations do start, however, the income level of the driver will determine how much he or she will pay.

To all the "Hands Off" Protesters...

Time is of the essence—instead of being in the way, let’s act together before it’s too late. If not... - Wendy Sue Berry Ensing
We are currently at a critical juncture with a national debt of $36.5 trillion, increasing by $2 trillion each year.
This is a critical issue, and most experts are warning us that we have relatively few years left to take decisive action before America faces a financial crisis that would have catastrophic consequences for this country and the world.
  • Amid all your protests, the burning of Teslas, and your petulant vitriol, one crucial element is glaringly missing: any plan to cut government spending.
  • Instead, your goal appears to be to spend even more...
Time is of the essence—instead of being in the way, let’s act together before it’s too late.
If not...
  • HANDS OFF - my tax dollars, which were not intended for your pet projects and the corrupt, virtue-signaling Socialists who spew the garbage you all take as gospel. It’s not a slush fund and a money laundering operation through left-wing NGO's to make politicians rich.
  • HANDS OFF - my child at school. Teach them the basics of reading, writing, and arithmetic. They are not there to be indoctrinated into your Marxist ideologies...READ ALL!
