Boosted by nuke deal, Iran ups funding to Hizb’Allah, Hamas | Pamela Geller
More of the poison fruit of Obama’s nuke deal, and a stunning indictment of his presidency as a whole.
Obama is directly responsible for this increased funding of these bloodthirsty jihad terror groups.

“Boosted by nuke deal, Iran ups funding to Hezbollah, Hamas,” by Avi Issacharoff, Times of Israel, September 21, 2015:

"...Since the deal was signed, Iran has significantly increased its financial support for two of the largest terror groups in the region that have become political players, Hamas and Hezbollah. In the years before the deal was signed, the crippling sanctions limited this support, which had significantly diminished along with Iran’s economy.
But Tehran’s belief that tens, or hundreds, of billions of dollars will flow into the country in the coming years as a result of sanctions relief has led to a decision to boost the cash flow to these terror organizations.
This support, for example, has enabled Hezbollah to obtain highly developed new armaments, including advanced technologies that many militaries around the world would envy..."

Gen. Petraeus on the 'Geopolitical Chernobyl'

Jordan Candler: Gen. Petraeus on the 'Geopolitical Chernobyl' — The Patriot Post:
"During congressional testimony Tuesday, Ret. Gen. David Petraeus didn’t mince words about Barack Obama’s strategy in the Middle East.
“We are not where we should be at this point,” he said in regards to Iraq.
He had particularly strong words for the situation in Syria, which he called a “geopolitical Chernobyl — spewing instability and extremism over the region and the rest of the world.”
The fight, he declared, will come to us whether we like it or not:
“The Middle East is not part of the world that plays by Las Vegas rules:
What happens in the Middle East is not going to stay in the Middle East...”

A National Disgrace: Green Beret Who Defended Boy Against Rape in Afghanistan Loses Appeal

Disgrace: Green Beret Who Defended Boy Against Rape in Afghanistan Loses Appeal - Katie Pavlich
In case you missed it earlier this week, the New York Times published an extensive piece detailing how U.S. soldiers serving in Afghanistan have been told to ignore rampant sexual abuse of young children, mostly boys, by Afghan allies because "it's their culture."
U.S. soldiers were not only told they would be punished for intervening or stopping a sexual assault, they have been punished for doing so.
Green Beret Charles Martland was discharged from the Army after roughing up an Afghan military commander who admitted, and laughed about, being a child rapist.
After an Afghan police commander admitted to repeatedly raping a little boy after chaining him to a bed for seven days, he was brought on base for questioning by Army Special Forces.
When the commander laughed about his atrocities, in addition to beating the boy's mother when she tried to intervene and stop him from assaulting her son, he got roughed up.
Now Sgt. 1st Class Charles Martland, a Green Beret with 11 years of outstanding Army service, is being kicked out of the military as a result of doing the right thing.
Now, according to a Fox News exclusive, Martland has lost his appeal.
Even as the U.S. military denies reports that American troops were told to ignore Afghan child abusers, an 11-year Green Beret who was ordered discharged after he confronted an alleged rapist was informed Tuesday that the Army has denied his appeal.
Sgt. 1st Class Charles Martland earlier this year was ordered discharged by Nov. 1. He has been fighting to stay in, but in an initial decision, the U.S. Army Human Resources Command told Martland that his appeal “does not meet the criteria” for an appeal.
“Consequently, your request for an appeal and continued service is disapproved,” the office wrote in a memo to Martland..."

German Police Covering Up Rapes so as ‘Not to Legitimize Critics of Mass Migration’

» German Police Covering Up Rapes so as ‘Not to Legitimize Critics of Mass Migration’ Alex Jones' Infowars: There's a war on for your mind!:
"Police in Germany are keeping quiet about a spate of rapes targeting children committed by Muslim migrants in and around refugee camps so as not to “legitimize” critics of mass migration, according to local media reports.
The Gatestone Institute has compiled a list of the innumerable rapes committed by predominantly Muslim asylum seekers over the last few months.
One of those cases involved a 13-year-old girl who was raped at a migrant camp in Detmold, a city in west-central Germany.
The girl and her mother originally fled the Middle East to escape from sexual abuse in their home, only to be targeted by an asylum seeker from the same country.
Fearing that public knowledge of the rape could lead to “right-wing demonstrations,” the police buried the incident.
“Although the rape took place in June, police kept silent about it for nearly three months, until local media published a story about the crime,” writes Soeren Kern.
“According to an editorial comment in the newspaper Westfalen-Blatt, police are refusing to go public about crimes involving refugees and migrants because they do not want to give legitimacy to critics of mass migration...”

Massive diversity requirement planned for University of Missouri, taught by 'army' of TAs

Massive diversity requirement planned for University of Missouri, taught by 'army' of TAs - The College Fix:
Guaranteed jobs program for women and gender studies, black studies and others
The University of Missouri is working on a “diversity requirement” that could be imposed on all 6,000 freshmen and require “an army” of teaching assistants (TAs) to implement, by the reckoning of the committee developing it.
Its aim? To socially engineer students to think and behave in certain ways related to race and culture, and have its TAs “export” the program to other universities when they get faculty jobs.
...The proposal is unabashed in its aims: not only changing how students think and behave, but making its participating TAs “extremely marketable” for future faculty positions where they will “export the program,” and having “a massive influence on undergraduate education, and even high school education, throughout the country.”
It would resemble a congressional appropriation that crosses several districts, creating a small but vocal group of beneficiaries that advocates for the program’s continued funding.
The proposal envisions the diversity requirement as a massive jobs program that will prop up departments across the university.
Because the College of Education likely doesn’t have enough TAs to supply on its own, the program would need to recruit TAs in sociology, anthropology, women and gender studies, black studies, philosophy, political science, German and Russian studies “and beyond...”

Migrant crisis: EU has 'lost control of borders and is in danger of collapse'

Migrant crisis: EU has 'lost control of borders and is in danger of collapse' | World | News | Daily Express:
Donald Tusk, president of the European Council, warned the EU was now facing a "critical point" and that the migrant crisis hadn't even reached its peak.
As he chaired an emergency meeting of EU leaders in Brussels last night Mr Tusk painted a bleak picture of the EU's future, saying the 28-member bloc was on the verge of breakdown with "recriminations and misunderstanding" pitting nations against one another.
The future of free movement was at stake, he said, as the continent had lost control of its borders as well as a "sense of order".

Why are Climate Models so Estranged from Reality

Why are Climate Models so Estranged from Reality | al fin next level
Why do climate models predict apocalyptic levels of warming that do not match up with reality?
It comes down to assumptions being made about numerous unknown dynamic quantities that are included in — and excluded from — the models.
Here is a list of some of these unknown dynamic parameters that are “guessed at” (or conveniently omitted) when computer modelers of climate generate their apocalyptic predictions:
Ocean Oscillations : What about the larger and longer ocean effects like the AMO (Atlantic Multidecadal Oscillation), PDO (Pacific Decadal Oscillation), IOD (Indian Ocean Dipole), etc. Understood? No. Contribution in the models : 0%.
Ocean Currents : Are the major ocean currents, such as the THC (Thermohaline Circulation), understood? Well we do know a lot about them – we know where they go and how big they are, and what is in them (including heat), and we know much about how they affect climate – but we know very little about what changes them and by how much or over what time scale. In summary – Understood? No. Contribution in the models : 0%.
Volcanoes : Understood? No. Contribution in the models : 0%.
Wind : Understood? No. Contribution in the models : 0%.
Water cycle (ocean evaporation, precipitation) : Understood? Partly. Contribution in the models : the contribution in the climate models is actually slightly negative, but it is built into a larger total which I address later.
The Sun : Understood? No. Contribution in the models : 0%. Now this may come as a surprise to some people, because the Sun has been studied for centuries, we know that it is the source of virtually all the surface and atmospheric heat on Earth, and we do know quite a lot about it. Details of the 11(ish) year sunspot cycle, for example, have been recorded for centuries. But we don’t know what causes sunspots and we can’t predict even one sunspot cycle ahead. Various longer cycles in solar activity have been proposed, but we don’t even know for sure what those longer cycles are or have been, we don’t know what causes them, and we can’t predict them. On top of that, we don’t know what the sun’s effect on climate is – yes we can see big climate changes in the past and we are pretty sure that the sun played a major role (if it wasn’t the sun then what on Earth was it?) but we don’t know how the sun did it and in any case we don’t know what the sun will do next. So the assessment for the sun in climate models is : Understood? No. Contribution in the models : 0%. [Reminder : this is the contribution to predicted future warming]

Much more at the article linked above.
What we seem to be left with, is that computer climate models exclude many of the most important parameters contributing to real world climate.
Of the parameters that are included, several of them appear to be based upon sloppy — even faith-based — assumptions.
No wonder they fail the test of observation.
They are no better than the predictions of psychic grifters.
Thus, it looks as if the great green climate apocalypse movement and associated green energy scam, are nothing more than a money-grab by political cronies and a power grab by political insiders — of the governmental, the inter-governmental, and the non-governmental varieties . . .
… When we talk about the lefty-Luddite green dieoff.orgiasts, we are referring to the groupthinking echo choirs pulling the strings of governments in Europe and the Anglosphere.
These miscreants also control much of media, academia, foundations, many religious entities, and several other cultural institutions.
What kind of society and people would stand back and allow these abominations to destroy their lives, livelihoods, and their futures — and the minds of their children?
We’re going to need a lot more guillotines! ;-)

Maybe Pope Francis Doesn't Understand Capitalism Because He Confuses It with Argentine Corporatism

Maybe Pope Francis Doesn't Understand Capitalism Because He Confuses It with Argentine Corporatism - Hit & Run : Reason.com:
"...The folks at Human Progress, a site operated by the Cato Institute's Marian Tupy, suggest that the pope's Argentine origins might be one source of confusion.
Argentina is not a capitalist state but a corporatist one.
For if you mistake corporatism for capitalism, you would surely have a bad view of the latter.
HumanProgress.orgA century ago, Argentina and the United States were about equally wealthy (which is to say, in many ways, that they were equally poor).
Over the past 115 years, the divergence is striking.
And it's not accidental.
As Ronald Bailey explained in a review of Hernando de Soto's 2002 book, Mysteries of Capital,

"In the 1920s Argentina's was one of the largest economies in the world, with an average income about the same as France's.
Rich as an Argentine was a catch phrase often used in Paris cafés to describe an especially wealthy person.
Since the 1940s Argentina has embarked on a series of policies—nationalization of industries, expansion of state services, and vast overseas borrowing—that has eroded its rank in the world.
In recent years, Argentina's per capita income has collapsed, falling from $8,909—double Mexico's and three times Poland's—in 1999 to $2,500 today, roughly on par with Jamaica and Belarus."

No one is using "rich as an Argentine" these days, that's for sure.
The country's economy lurches from one crisis to another, so much so that residents now are turning to Bitcoin as a way to escape Argentina's constantly inflating and deflating currency..."
