Called On The Carpet

By Tammy Derouin

It is really getting tiring to see so much hate being generated and encouraged by the Left.  If they truly embraced tolerance, as they claim they do, they wouldn’t be trying to destroy those who do not share their beliefs.  We have learned, all too well, over the course of the past eight years, that there is a double standard when it comes to tolerance, our rights and freedoms.

The scandal ridden Obama administration is full of examples of how individuals were targeted for having differing opinions or beliefs.  It is also full of examples of how beliefs, and apparently rights were far from equal.  The rule of man, rather than law, began to establish itself during this administration.  It became transparently clear that your rights were limited if you didn’t agree with the ruling party.

Lives and livelihoods were destroyed as a war was launched against American citizens as attempts were made to rule by fear and with an iron fist.  There were continuous efforts to hijack our founding principles and our government, as established in our U.S. Constitution.  The fundamental transformation of America was well underway.  And, they may have gotten away with it, had it not been for the will of the American people......

College basketball coach rips 'everybody gets a damn trophy' generation - The American MirrorThe American Mirror

College basketball coach rips 'everybody gets a damn trophy' generation - The American MirrorThe American Mirror:

University of Louisville’s head women’s basketball coach, Jeff Walz, recently ripped into the participation trophy mentality of Millennials, and a video of his epic rant is going viral online.
In a video posted to YouTube by Elite Basketball Training, Walz explained his take on the problem and why he thinks kids should learn how to lose during a press conference following a recent loss to Maryland.
“You gotta have a will,” Waltz said.
“ … Right now the generation of kids that are coming through everybody gets a damn trophy, okay. You finish last, you come home with a trophy. Are you kidding me? What’s that teaching kids? It’s okay to lose,” he said.
“And unfortunately, it’s our society. It’s what we’re building for and it’s not just in basketball, it’s in life. Everybody thinks they should get a job. Everybody thinks they should get a good job. No, that’s not how it works, but unfortunately that’s what we’re preparing for,” Walz continued.
“Because you finish fifth, you walk home with this nice trophy and parents are all excited? No. Not to be too blunt, but you’re a loser. Like we’re losers. We got beat. We lost. There is no trophy for us. But unfortunately the ways these kids are brought up today, there is a trophy. Because nobody wants anybody to have hurt feelings. Nobody wants to get their feelings hurt,” he said.
“Unfortunately, in the real world – and I don’t know how it is with your all’s jobs – but with mine if you lose enough you get fired. And that’s just the way it is. I’m trying to explain to our kids like hey, I’m trying to prepare you for the real world, because when you go to get a job there’s competition. And what are you going to do to stand out? Unfortunately, we’re not preparing these kids, before they get to us at least, to be ready for that.”
Walz explained that when he played basketball, winners took the trophy and the glory and the loser went home. Consolation brackets for losers didn’t exist.
“When you play three or four … games in one day and you lose three of them and win the last one and everyone goes home happy. You’re one in three,” Walz said. “I know it’s a long time ago, but … days we played when you lost you went home. There was no friendship bracket. Oh, let’s go on the left side to the friendship games so everybody can play two more games. No, you went home. You went home a loser and you worked at it if you wanted to be good.”
The video received well over 38,000 views in the four days since it was posted to YouTube. It’s also been shared nearly 4,000 times on Facebook.
Of course, the vast majority of folks on Facebook commended Walz for highlighting the issue.
“My oldest son, 9, plays baseball. We had him in a league that gave participation trophies. This year we moved him to one that doesn’t and when the season ended and he didn’t get one he asked me why and I told him they didn’t win it all and only winners got a trophy,” Patrick Gordon posted. “He says to me in the infinite wisdom that children often have ‘well, you know dad that makes more sense.’ Kids get it.”
“That’s what’s wrong with these crybabies today,” John Beauford added. “They all expect to be rewarded.”
“These kids have been coddled,” Connie Kiser wrote. “If you want to win, play harder and do the best you can. That’s how people get ahead. Teach kids to have some initiative. We’ve got spoiled brats who have no idea how to work and don’t want to work because it’s all been handed to them.”

University's 'Whiteness Forum' takes 'critical look at whiteness'

University's 'Whiteness Forum' takes 'critical look at whiteness' - The College Fix:
"Students at Cal State San Marcos on Thursday hosted a “Whiteness Forum” as part of a communications class they are enrolled in, setting up more than a dozen displays that highlighted what they contend is how white privilege has oppressed people of color in a variety of ways.

Image result for university Whiteness Forum
  • A “white beauty standard” display stated “we are studying the white hegemonic ideals of the beauty industry.”
  • Another asked “who does whiteness say that you are,” noting “whiteness studies” is defined as “the study of the system of white dominion in our society with a focus on ideologies of white supremacy as collective, rather than white individuals.”
  • A “Make America White Again” display included an image of Donald Trump’s baseball hat and argued his campaign has led to a wave of hate crimes.
  • A “Whiteness in the Court” project explained “the law is a tool used by dominant groups, those that have the social, political and economic power, to represent their interests and reflect their values to maintain their privileged position over subordinate groups.”

It cited stats that “blacks are five times more likely to go to prison over whites of similar conviction” and “Latinos are three times more likely to go to prison over whites of similar conviction.”

  • Other displays: “Gentrification is the new Colonialism,” “Stand up for Standing Rock” and a “Wheel of Whiteness.”

During the two-hour event, students who created the displays talked to guests about their projects, explaining their studies and quizzing passersby on facts and figures relating to race.
One group had guests spin the “Wheel of Whiteness.”
Another passed out “gentrification is the new colonialism” stickers..."

Democrats Prepare to Bork Tom Price | The American Spectator

Democrats Prepare to Bork Tom Price | The American Spectator:

"If confirmed, Tom Price will be the best qualified HHS secretary in a generation. His nomination has been received enthusiastically by the health care industry, and he has received endorsements from the American Medical Association, the Association of American Medical Colleges, and the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons. Moreover, unlike Kathleen Sebelius and Sylvia Burwell, he spent twenty years actually treating patients. He knows the system and why Obamacare isn’t working. If the Democrats successfully Bork him, it means that they can’t be trusted with even a modicum of power."

Only 30 Percent of Aliens Admitted Under Obama “Minors” Program Are Minors

Only 30 Percent of Aliens Admitted Under Obama “Minors” Program Are Minors
"Only 480 (or 30 percent) of the 1,600 aliens who have traveled to the United States under the Obama administration’s Central American Minors (CAM) program are actually minors — that is, under the age of 18.
...The report from State also noted that, so far, more than 10,600 Central Americans from Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador have applied for refugee status or humanitarian parole under the CAM program.
...When it was first created, the stated goal of CAM was bring Central American minors safely to their parents in the United States.
This was sold as a humanitarian measure, designed to eliminate the need for these minors to make the long, dangerous trek all the way through Mexico to the U.S. border.
However, noted CIS, the expansion of the program created an entirely new situation:
In other words, individuals from El Salvador, Guatemala, or Honduras who made it to the U.S. — illegally for the most part — can now have their extended family members flown to them with U.S. taxpayers’ money. And those on the other side, who considered crossing here illegally, could be spared the trouble and given legal status. This seems to be this administration's idea of enforcing immigration laws.
The MRCTV report, citing an e-mail from the State Department, noted that more than 10,600 Central Americans from Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador have applied for refugee status or humanitarian parole under the CAM program, to date.
If the current ratio of adults-to-children continues, 7,400 of those will be adults and not minors, for whom the program was originally created.

Iranian Man Stabbed Multiple Times In Dutch Migrant...

Steve Russo - Iranian Man Stabbed Multiple Times In Dutch Migrant...:
"Iranian Man Stabbed Multiple Times In Dutch Migrant Center By Peaceful Muslim Migrants For Being Gay
It's a good thing that the Muslim Refugees coming here, are peaceful and don't go on stabbing sprees.... oh wait!
Excerpt: An Iranian was almost stabbed to death in a Dutch migrant centre after fellow asylum seekers reportedly found out he was gay.
Police initially thought the attack on the 25-year-old in the town of Bellingwolde in the north-eastern part of the Netherlands was drugs-related.
But an LGBT organisation says it has witness statements confirming that the assault was because the victim is gay. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/…/Iranian-stabbed-death-Dutch-mi…
And the so called, tolerant Hollywood left, who claim to be gay rights advocates, yet have no problem flooding America with hundreds of thousands of 7th century savages in the name of diversity and compassion... say what?
Crickets!
Unfortunately a lot more of the LGBTQ community will have to be sacrificed on the altar of multiculturalism before the progs are even willing to discuss the possibility that Islam just might, perhaps, be a tad bit homophobic and intolerant, not to mention... unable to "Coexist" with anyone other than Muslims..."

Half of Detroit votes may be ineligible for recount

Half of Detroit votes may be ineligible for recount:

"One-third of precincts in Wayne County could be disqualified from an unprecedented statewide recount of presidential election results because of problems with ballots.

Michigan’s largest county voted overwhelmingly for Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton, but officials couldn’t reconcile vote totals for 610 of 1,680 precincts during a countywide canvass of vote results late last month."

Pearl Harbor plus 75 years

Pearl Harbor plus 75 years | New York Post:

It’s the 75th anniversary of the “date which will live in infamy,” the early morning peacetime attack on Pearl Harbor that in just 30 minutes claimed 2,043 American lives — a one-day death toll that would not be exceeded until 9/11 — and unleashed a war in the Pacific that would kill millions more.
This is likely the last milestone commemoration of Pearl Harbor: The few remaining survivors are all well into their 90s.

All too soon, Americans’ last first-hand links to The Greatest Generation will be gone.
But Americans should never forget what happened on that bloody day: the perfidy, the tragedy and, most of all, the bravery and unbelievable heroism.
Still, the Japanese sank 18 ships — most notably the USS Arizona, which lost nearly 80 percent of its crew of 1,511. Even today, oil — dubbed “black tears” — still leaks from the ship’s remains, which have been turned into a somber but stirring memorial.
America suffered an undeniable military disaster: Japan had hoped to wipe out our naval capability before the war had even begun. That it didn’t is only thanks to the fact that no US aircraft carriers, the prime target, were at Pearl.
The treachery of the attack, and the huge losses suffered, stunned Americans — but it also unified and galvanized them into a grim determination to persevere at all costs until total victory was won.
The nation saw much the same immediately after 9/11 — but, unlike Pearl Harbor, that unity was short-lived.
So, as we pay tribute to the heroes of Dec. 7, 1941, let us all remember also how America pulled itself up from that dark day and secured the ultimate revenge: victory.

Obama’s Last Stand

Obama’s Last Stand - WSJ:
"The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on Sunday delivered a symbolic victory to the environmental left by denying a permit to complete the 1,200-mile Dakota Access oil pipeline.
The political obstruction illustrates why it’s so hard to build anything in America these days.
Construction is almost complete on the Dakota Access, which aims to transport a half million barrels of oil each day from the Bakken Shale in North Dakota to Illinois for delivery to refiners on the East and Gulf coasts.
About 99% of the pipeline doesn’t require federal permitting because it traverses private lands.
But the Corps must sign off on an easement to drill under Lake Oahe that dams the Missouri River.
After an exhaustive consultation with Native American tribes, the Corps in July issued an environmental assessment of “no significant impact.”
Image result for enviro nazisConstruction is unlikely to harm tribal totems because the Dakota Access would parallel an existing gas pipeline.
The route has been modified 140 times in North Dakota to avoid upsetting sacred cultural resources.
After largely refusing to engage in the Corps’s review, the Standing Rock Sioux sued.
A federal court in September rejected the tribe’s claims, only to be overruled by the Obama Administration, which ordered a temporary suspension to work around Lake Oahe.
Although the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals in October refused to enjoin construction on the pipeline, the Corps has maintained its administrative injunction.
...Energy Transfer devised the least intrusive route to expedite permitting but it still got caught between the Standing Rock tribe and no-fossil-fuels greens who have turned the Dakota Access into a Battle of the Alamo.
If Mr. Trump wants to build more infrastructure, a top-to-bottom renovation of permitting regulations is a good place to start."

YouTube bans Prager U video of Muslim denouncing anti-semitism and promoting peace – TheBlaze:

"Popular conservative/libertarian channel Prager U is once again being censored by Google and YouTube for a video deemed too “hateful.”

The video is titled “Born to Hate Jews,” and while the title seems dark, the message is the exact opposite. The speaker this time around is Kasim Hafeez, founder of the Israel Campaign, and in the video he tells the story of his journey from being a Muslim who came very close to being a terrorist against Israel, to a man whose first hand education led him to stand with country he previously hated."

Italy Referendum Results Illustrate Sense of Alienation Electorate Has From Governing Elites

Italy Referendum Results Illustrate Sense of Alienation Electorate Has From Governing Elites - Reason.com:
"On Sunday evening, I watched as Matteo Renzi acknowledged the negative outcome of the constitutional referendum and resigned, as promised, as Italy's prime minister.
Renzi called the plebiscite in order to streamline Italy's baroque governing bureaucracy—a necessary prerequisite, he claimed, for much-needed economic reform.
By a margin of close to 20 percentage points, the Italians said "No" and Renzi threw in the towel.
As he spoke, I emailed an Italian friend of mine to gauge her reaction.
As a professor of economics and a free marketer, I expected her to be horrified by the events.
Instead, she responded on Monday morning by saying that she too voted "No."
"Nothing ever changes in Italy, anyway," she continued.
I guess that I should not have been surprised.
It is 2016, after all, and, in the political arena, anything seems possible.
Thinking about my friend's response more carefully, however, I have come to see some parallels between what happened in Italy, and the British decision to withdraw from the European Union and Donald Trump's victory in the U.S. presidential election.
..."With every electoral cycle, 'establishment' parties committed to further European integration are growing weaker and anti-EU parties are getting closer to power.
The EU has been very successful in plodding along, but its rearguard action cannot succeed indefinitely.
At some point, one of the EU's 28 member states will elect an anti-EU government.
I fear that the longer the EU establishment ignores its opponents, the more belligerent the latter will become.""

Shutting down dissent----- 'Fake News'? Left-Wing War on Conservative Websites: Facebook, Google, LA Times, Obama Take Aim

Geller: 'Fake News'? Left-Wing War on Conservative Websites: Facebook, Google, LA Times, Obama Take Aim - Breitbart:
"...Their latest terror is “fake news sites.”
The New York Times reported shortly after the election that Google and Facebook “have faced mounting criticism over how fake news on their sites may have influenced the presidential election’s outcome.”
That was fake news in itself: “fake news” didn’t influence the presidential election’s outcome, all too real news about the wrong direction in which our nation was headed under Barack Obama did. Nevertheless, the Times said that “those companies responded by making it clear that they would not tolerate such misinformation by taking pointed aim at fake news sites’ revenue sources.”
How would they do that?

  • “Google kicked off the action on Monday afternoon when the Silicon Valley search giant said it would ban websites that peddle fake news from using its online advertising service.
  • Hours later, Facebook, the social network, updated the language in its Facebook Audience Network policy, which already says it will not display ads in sites that show misleading or illegal content, to include fake news sites.”

Image result for liberal censorshipA Facebook spokesman explained: “We have updated the policy to explicitly clarify that this applies to fake news. Our team will continue to closely vet all prospective publishers and monitor existing ones to ensure compliance.”
The “fake news” controversy has become a huge international story, with the Los Angeles Times among those leading the charge with headlines such as “Want to keep fake news out of your newsfeed? College professor creates list of sites to avoid”; “Fake news writers: ‘Hillary Clinton, here are your deplorables’”; and “Fake news writers abuse the 1st Amendment and endanger democracy for personal profit.”
There is conspiracy theory and there is conspiracy fact, and what we have on our hands is one mother of a left-wing conspiracy parading as a right wing conspiracy.
...It would be funny if it weren’t so Hitlerian. Facebook has too much power.
Its news curators, mini-Goebbelians — are more frightening than Kafka’s antagonists..."

The EU is demanding that American tech giants crack down on hate speech

The EU is demanding that American tech giants crack down on hate speech:
"The EU has given American tech giants a stark ultimatum: Crack down on hate speech, or we'll make you.
Facebook, Twitter, Google's YouTube and Microsoft must act faster to tackle online hate speech or they will face laws forcing them to do so, the European Commission said on Sunday.
The European Union (EU) executive's warning comes six months after the companies signed up to a voluntary code of conduct to take action in Europe within 24 hours, following rising concerns triggered by the refugee crisis and terror attacks.
This included removing or disabling access to the content if necessary, better cooperation with civil society organizations and the promotion of "counter-narratives" to hate speech.
..."In practice the companies take longer and do not yet achieve this goal. They only reviewed 40 percent of the recorded cases in less than 24 hours," a Commission official said.
...The Commission said, if necessary, it may enact laws to force swifter action..."

CEO Of Mexican Concrete Company Wants To Bid On Trump's Border Wall

CEO Of Mexican Concrete Company Wants To Bid On Trump's Border Wall:

"The Trump campaign gained its foothold with American voters by vowing to address the illegal immigration issue. Central to the incoming president’s plan was a 2,000 wall along the southern U.S.border. Countless Mexicans and individuals from other nations currently cross the ineffective existing border daily, mostly by foot and in vehicles.

Trump is widely reviled in Mexico, and this move to cooperate in his plans could be very risky for a Mexican company. The situation is complex for Trump as well: He has promised to put Americans back to work, and GCC hires a LOT of American workers on our side of the border."

Report buried Trump-related ‘hate crimes’ against white kids

Report buried Trump-related ‘hate crimes’ against white kids | New York Post
"At least 2,000 educators around the country reported racist slurs and other derogatory language leveled against white students in the first days after Donald Trump was elected president.
But the group that surveyed the teachers didn’t publish the results in its report on Trump-related “hate crimes.”
The Southern Poverty Law Center partnered with the American Federation of Teachers, which formally endorsed Hillary Clinton, to circulate the questionnaire among its 1.6 million mostly Democratic members.
The survey was sent out to K-12 teachers and administrators who subscribe to its “Teaching Tolerance” newsletter.
The SPLC’s widely cited report — “The Trump Effect: The Impact of the 2016 Presidential Election on Our Nation’s Schools” — reported that 40 percent of the more than 10,000 educators who responded to the survey “have heard derogatory language directed at students of color, Muslims, immigrants and people based on gender or sexual orientation.”
The takeaway was that Trump-supporting white kids have been harassing minorities at the nation’s schools.
And SPLC’s schools report, along with a broader report on alleged Trump-inspired hate crimes — “Ten Days After: Harassment and Intimidation in the Aftermath of the Election” — sparked breathless coverage in the New York Times, Washington Post and other major media.
...But the SPLC didn’t present the whole story.
The Montgomery, Ala.-based nonprofit self-censored results from a key question it asked educators — whether they agree or disagree with the following statement: “I have heard derogatory language or slurs about white students.”
Asked last week to provide the data, SPLC initially said it was having a hard time getting the information “from the researchers.”
Pressed, SPLC spokeswoman Kirsten Bokenkamp finally revealed that “about 20 percent answered affirmatively to that question.”
Bokenkamp did not provide an explanation for the absence of such a substantial metric — at least 2,000 bias-related incidents against white students — from the report, which focuses instead on “anti-immigrant sentiment,” “anti-Muslim sentiment” and “slurs about students of color” related to the election.
“They left that result out because it would not fit their ideological narrative,” former Education Department civil rights attorney Hans Bader said. “It was deemed an inconvenient truth.”...
